As the co-founder of KPD (Kaveh Performance Driving), I can't recommend SS Customs enough. They helped bring our vision to life on both of our KPD cars, including the custom livery design on our competition S14 and our KPD #2 training car. The attention to detail throughout the entire process was incredible, and the finished product looks even better than we imagined. One thing that really stood out was their commitment to helping us and all other businesses succeed. Right before a major competition weekend, they were already busy wrapping one of our KPD cars, yet they still found time to help us with last-minute details, including the PPF installation on our forged carbon hood for KPD #2. That level of support and dedication is hard to find. The team is professional, easy to communicate with, and genuinely cares about the quality of their work. Whether it's a race car, drift car, street car, or exotic, they treat every project with the same level of craftsmanship and pride. We're proud to have SS Customs as a partner and look forward to many more projects together. Thank you for helping make KPD look as professional on track as it is off track. Can't wait for our phase 2 on KPD02
Like many car enthusiasts, I've done plenty of things myself over the years. I've wrapped parts, installed parts, and always thought I could get things "good enough." Working with SS Customs showed me the difference between doing something yourself and having it done right. The final result on my drift car exceeded every expectation I had. I'm extremely particular and pay attention to every detail, but the team at SS Customs took things to a level I never would have achieved on my own. What impressed me most wasn't just the quality of the wrap itself. It was the process. Panels were removed, cleaned properly, wrapped correctly, and reinstalled with care. This isn't a shop that wraps over dirt, cuts corners, and sends you on your way. Their attention to detail is what separates them from the rest. I've seen plenty of shops claim they're the best. After seeing how SS Customs operates, I can honestly say they're in a league of their own. Their work isn't designed to look good for a few months--it's designed to last for years. Whether it's a drift car, a street car, or a high-end exotic, they bring the same level of craftsmanship, pride, and professionalism to every project. Their philosophy of design, protection, and performance shows in everything they do. If you want the job done right the first time, there's only one place I'd recommend: SS Customs. Truly amazing people, incredible craftsmanship, and in my opinion, the West Coast original.
What I initially thought was a great project eventually turned into a nightmare. As my wrap started to lift from wear / tear / sun, I opted to try a more local shop. SSCustoms was located across the San Mateo bridge and with my experience of traveling back and forth to fix small problems with them in the past, I didn't want to potentially encounter that again. The first step? Remove the previous wrap and I opted for a local shop. What I found was extremely disappointing. There was extra adhesive used... for a vinyl wrap. In the front bumper, on the side mirror, and multiple areas in the back of the car. I consulted with 3 other places and they all confirmed, there was extra adhesive used. Which was unnecessary because all vinyl wrap is has its own adhesive side. Inevitably, this caused certain parts to peel off the paint, despite how much heat was used (other shops confirmed as well, more heat would have damaged the paint underneath). I even contacted SSCustoms and they brushed it aside, told me how to remove it myself (by purchasing something on amazon and using a plastic razor... MIND you, there should have never been extra adhesive to begin with). Then came the removal of bumpers. Clips broken, several missing pieces, missing housing for sensor, previous wrap still on inner bumper, side camera housing broken, etc. Disappointing. I never took time to inspect every piece of my car. I just assumed that if it looked great and my car ran the way it did before I dropped it off, then it was fine. AND I don't think to take off the bumper at home to deeply inspect it. That's not something an everyday person does. So I would have never caught all of these problems without taking it to another shop. I don't know if there were shortcuts, if they were rushed or what. This caused my car to be delayed further. Fixing and replacing these missing pieces. From my recollection, it was my second time at SSCustoms. I had planned for vinyl wrap (Satin Flip Psychedelic) and a ceramic coating. They had estimated to have my car for almost two weeks. Three days before I was to receive my car back, I had my friend drop off the emblems to put on the car. He called me to tell me that the wrap on the car (Ghost Pearl -- white) was not what I had asked for. I called SSCustoms and they told me that they will remove the wrap, get it right and back to me in the same time originally estimated. I was out of a car for almost two weeks and was desperate to get it back. I should have pushed for them to keep it longer. I feel this is where they rushed and caused all of these issues. I would caution others, the wrap may come on nice. I would suggest taking the car to another place to remove the wrap and inspect before taking back here. I hope they don't find what they found with mine. Quality of wrap is great. Just poor installation and quality of work.
I ordered my cyber wrap from ss custom. It was a very unique and beautiful wrap which made heads turn. Had it installed by a professional company. 14 months after the fact, the wrap started changing color and looked burnt. I never car washed the car. It was always hand washed so the issue wasnt washing it. When I contacted them, they told me in southern California they warranty covers only 13 months and they its due to sun and how I park my car possibly The offered to reprint the panel and charge me again for it although it would be a different color and mis matched w rhe rest since It would be a new print. Products sometimes goes bad absolutely understandable but for something that would cost u north of 5k to last only a year and then they resell u the same thing rather than taking responsibility I was trully disappointed. I have other wraps on my other cars from other comapnies and non have changed color even after 3 years so it cant be the area rather the quality of the material. I wish someone would tell me this before I would spend so much money on it. Hope this would be a eye opener for others thinking of it. I took more pictures and this is in a span of 2 weeks. the deteriations is significant and the companies claim of this being due to the heat is not true since Los angeles hasnt even been hot yet.
Stopped by SS Customs today to get my windows tinted and had a great experience. I went with the 70% uniform ceramic tint (street legal)--mainly for the UV protection to help keep my seats in good shape and add a little extra UV protection. It came out super clean. AJ, Sharif, and Tanya were all awesome. They kept me in the loop the whole time, and the car was actually ready an hour earlier than expected. Pick-up was quick and easy, no hassle at all. I'm already planning to come back soon to get my wheels powder coated. Definitely recommend these guys if you're looking for solid work and good service.
I recently took my Porsche Turbo S to SS Custom for PPF, ceramic coating, and tint. I'm very satisfied! Before choosing this shop, I visited more than six other places, and without a doubt, this one was on a higher level. They have a completely professional team with high-end equipment. At the beginning, Shereef thoroughly explained all the available options, allowing me to make an informed decision. He is very passionate about his work and he has a lot of experience. The pricing was absolutely fair, and the work was excellent. While my car was there, they kept me updated in a friendly manner, explaining what had been done and what was left. At the end, they delivered the car without bubbles or defects. The rear section of a Porsche is quite challenging for PPF, but they executed it perfectly with no issues. I am completely satisfied with the quality of work, the reception time, the delivery time, the price, and especially the professional and friendly attitude of the team.
Huge Mahalo to Shareef and the team at SS Customs. I came in for some PPF and vinyl-- they did a fantastic job, especially with wrapping the stanchion. There was an issue with stretching on a small portion of the PPF, but came in for a follow-up and they replaced the entire piece. Truly great service, will definitely be returning for future projects.
SS Customs is truly the best at what they do in the bay area. As a repeat customer, I came in with a high bar and they still managed to blow me away with their levels of knowledge, customization, and attention to detail. I ended up going for a full body PPF and ceramic coating, and the results were impeccable (see attached pictures). I can't imagine the expertise required to wrap my car's tough angles/crevices with such intricacy, but they were able to pull it off flawlessly. Can't wait to have my car looking fresh for years to come and I will certainly be back to SSC with all of my future cars. Also, AJ is the man and is genuinely fun to talk to and work on projects with.
Reviews are largely positive. People praise the exceptional installation quality of wraps and coatings, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and clear, responsive communication.

So let's start by saying, Shareef and his staff are truly amazing! When I came in, I had just purchased my Lincoln Navigator- in white, all the fun bells and whistles. Tesh was the one to help me draw out and mock up my design for my dream car. Tanya, who runs the office said I should add in some pops of pink, and I agreed, which also sealed the deal. Covid pushes back my job, only because my apt was for mid March and that's when every place was forced into shut down. I dropped my baby off in May and had it back a couple weeks later. No rendering could have prepared me for how absolutely stunning my car came out, and how every single detail was handled from top to bottom. I got the works, full wrap, rims done, windows tinted and stars in the ceiling. Pops of pink on the rims, emblems, navigator sign on the sides and the caliber covers. When I tell you this think is amazing, it doesn't do justice for how beautiful my dream car is! But on another note, the staff here is friendly, personable, professional and quick to answer questions and concerns. They are a wonderful set of humans all under one roof and we like them so much they are doing our other car for us! If you're getting tired of your color or need some little detailed touches, Shareef and his team at SSCUSTOMS are the place to go! read more

This review is long overdue.....After doing some research on top Bay Area shops, I finally settled with the 5 star review at SS Customs. I inquired about the services Dec 2019, had a consultation (and tour) mid Jan 2020, and car wrapped by Feb 2020. Efficient communication with SS staff. Overall pricy, but you get what you pay for. To date, I think it was worth the trouble and car looks great with minimal cleaning, maintenance. Here's what I opted for and paid a little over 3k (plus labor): ~ Silver package (1 layer of 9H and 1 layer of light - 5 year warranty. 1 layer of PPF and Vinyl on all PPF/Vinyl surfaces (hood of car and invisible bra installation). By Feb 2020 my new Subaru Forester was almost 4 months old and SS Customs was pretty transparent about their services, asked me a couple times to ensure I wanted to proceed with investing on PPF and Vinyl bc my car had already depreciated in value. I dismissed that fact and still wanted protection for the hood and application of the invisible bra as this area is what gets dirty the most. At the time the shop was located in the heart of Redwood City off El Camino, its business location at the corner of a busy main street. Looked like a mini glass warehouse that housed a car dealership of exotic cars of all colors. I've called ahead so I had an idea what I was getting myself into; Assistant Mgr, Tesh, who quoted me via email, was present and Mgr, Tanya greeted me at the door. Both were very talkative, but you could tell in their tone, they were both relaxed and far from pushy sales. The owner, Shareef, was definitely polite and knowledgeable about the services his shop offered. Also went out of his way to demonstrate proper wiping technique on car as to not strip off paint or leave any scratches. Was so impressed by his demonstration, ended up buying the waxing product he used. Impressed by the overall customer service, I couldn't complain about Shareef's team. However, I had to return about 5 months later due to the growing gap at the rim of hood or bubbling/peeling on the headlights (which I found out was applied by an intern). When I did return the 2nd time around that summer, SS Customs had moved over to their new location on Industrial Way had a bigger garage, but I still prefer the original location with better advertisement on a busy street. It was beginning of June 2020, with Covid and the riots going on, the move couldn't have come at a better time. But Alfonso, the main technician was kind enough to go over my concerns and had the spacing and bubbles adjusted on the PPF. Great customer service and very polite. All my other concerns were addressed promptly via email by Shareef. For all car enthusiasts, I would recommend SS Customs for excellent customer service and aesthetic modifications vehicles deserve. read more

As always SS Customs has done a flawless job on a car that is very difficult to wrap. Alfonso is the man! Always willing to put in the work to make the job perfect. He has been doing this for a while and his work speaks for itself. Shareef (owner) is just a great guy. Stands by his work fully, and just a good dude. Only problem you will find is these guys are so good, they are always booked but well worth the wait. Thank you Alfonso and Shareef! read more

When I first reached out, their response time was great. Had me visit their site to take a look at their shop and discuss what I wanted to do to my Mach-e. They didn't BS me and provided their professional advice in line with what I wanted. I chose the Stealth PPF, window tint, and silver package ceramic coat. Their backlog makes sense. My appointment was about 2 months out but it was worth it. My car came out looking great and although I had some rock chips already, they did great to wrap above it all to make it hardly noticeable. Thanks to Shareef, Robert, and the whole team! I look forward to doing more work with you all in the future. read more

I reached out to local shops that provide vinyl wrap services, and SS Customs were quick to respond. Pre-COVID, they did a in-person consultation at their shop where they showed me different vinyl samples and helped me choose a unique color that nobody has chosen. At the time, they were insanely backlogged and had a wait for more than a month. The wait was worth it because installation took about a week, & the quality was excellent. There were some wrinkles on the edges, but can only be found on close inspection, like when washing the car. Tesh was super responsive and really friendly. Great communicator, started the official paper trail through email, but gave me near daily updates through text. read more

Came here based on referral and the experience was great! I brought my Supra here for full Xpel Stealth PPF and ceramic coating to protect my factory matte paint job. 1 Yr Update Still 5 stars, but I'd give them 11 if I could. I got my wrap a little over 1 yrs ago with a ceramic coating. A couple weeks ago a shelf in my garage collapsed onto my car and while removing debris I tore the SlipOn (adhesive protector under the front bumper) and ripped the wrap on my car. I emailed SS Customs right away and received a response from AJ the same day; they scheduled an appointment for the next day!!!! After looking at the car and giving me some options, AJ got my car in the following week to fix the damage and to inspect and reapply the ceramic coating. Tanya was amazing and and during the initial inspection found damage on my car I didn't even know was there! SS Customs went beyond my expectations. They were able to fix my damaged wrap, buff out someone else's paint from my car, and made my entire car look and feel like new! It looks like the first day I got wrap! Even the rock chips and scratches are gone. I will be coming back every year for sure! read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Shareef and his team at SS Customs for three different wrap projects across two different vehicles, and they are the best in the business. Their attention to detail is second to none, and they do everything they can to go above and beyond for the satisfaction of their customers. Their designer, Alli, is also a creative mastermind who listens to the input of the clients and generates design ideas and concepts that completely capture what the client is looking for. I'm incredibly happy to have found them, and wouldn't go anywhere else with my wrap, PPF and custom work for my personal and SEMA Show vehicles. read more

FOLLOW-UP to my previous review of SS Customs. (see 6/5/2021) Immediately received a courtesy call from Shareef who extended his apologies and his offering to make good on the mix-up and scheduled me for an appointment the next morning. We had apparently had our wire-crossed (figuratively speaking) in communication, and I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. ========== AT THE BUSINESS: I was greeted by Ray who sincerely offered his apologies for the miscommunication which I accepted. Ray gave me a tour of the facilities showing me their ongoing customer projects--impressive. Ray educated me on the general processes of what they do and walked me through what they could do for my vehicle as far as customization. Once Shareef arrived as scheduled, he took great care and time, and again apologized for the snafu. While waiting for the SlipLo product to be installed, Shareef went over several options on their touchscreen Visualizer--THAT WAS AWESOME. We'd gone through a couple computer-generated customizations and cost estimations, which were emailed to me for review. Greatly considering doing further customization--it all depends on deciding on the customization, committing to the change, and scheduling. Otherwise, on the SlipLo installation on my 2019 Dodge Charger--I am satisfied with the work...I can go over steep driveway aprons without worry of damaging my bumper!!! Definitely referring the business, the entire process was great. The folks there are professional, courteous, informative, and are very welcoming to customers--not just to me, but with other customers observed. read more

Can't even begin to say how incredible SS Customs and the people working there are. I bought a new RAV4 Prime Hybrid and wanted to fulfill a lifelong dream of getting it wrapped in matte military green. Caleb was such a great resource guiding me through the process and being a great partner to work with throughout. The work turned out better than I could have imagined. If you're looking for some solid car modding (ceramic tint, chrome delete, wheel powdercoating) than there's no better shop in the Bay than SS Customs. Best in the game!! I've known Shareef & staff for years since they started the wrap game years ago. I've seen some awesome work come out of their shop so when I bought my Nissan GT-R and wanted to wrap it, there was no question I was going with them! Shareef and I discussed the color I wanted and I let him get creative and present me with a few ideas- I fell in love with the rendering of 3m satin vampire red. I made an appointment almost 3 years ago and was blown away when I picked up my car. Sean did my wrap and did the red wrap w black roof and mirrors, tinted my tail lights and did ceramic coating on the whole car. They color matched my badging with my wrap, no detail was missed! I went back a couple of weeks later for the follow up appointment, and have answered all of my questions about upkeep, maintenance, etc. THANK YOU GUYS!! I am still in love with my car and look back every time I park bc of the amazing work by SS Customs! read more

I can not say enough great things about SS Customs! I requested quotes from several Bay area shops, and SS Customs was the most responsive. From the moment I began asking questions, to the follow up appointment a week after my wrap was applied, they have been fantastic during every interaction. Tanya the office Manager was so patient with me - I asked for a lot of information about colors, brands of wraps, finishes, ceramic coatings, painting calipers, etc. She was very knowledgeable, and helped me decide on my final selection, but wasn't pushy at all. I am in LOVE with the finished product, they did such an incredible job! The quality installation of the wrap, and the time/care with which it was applied leaves me confident I will be satisfied with the look of my vehicle for a very long time. When I picked up the car, the owner Shareef, made note of something he wasn't fully satisfied with (I didn't even notice!) and invited me back a few days later for a follow up inspection to ensure he was fully satisfied. I appreciate how he and all the people working for him truly show care for their customers and their work, no matter if it's something I asked or they offered. If you're considering services offered at SS Customs, do not hesitate - work with them rather than anyone else. You won't regret it, they really are the best! read more

Shareef and his team absolutely killed it with my M5C. They took my car and completely transformed it, first by wrapping all painted surfaces in Xpel Stealth to change it from a gloss to a matte finish. Then they wrapped all the carbon fiber accents in clear Xpel wrap to protect those. The quality of their work and followup is outstanding. They had no issue fixing minor issues or putting on the finishing touches during my followup. I went back a second time to wrap the roof in Black Vinyl and again, they killed it. The detail is fantastic and the finish is great. They stand behind their work and I would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!! read more

I wanted to leave a different kind of review and explain why anyone considering this shop should go here. Since I had the work done on a staggered schedule of two months. After a month, I had a couple issues after my install and Tesh actually pointed out one of the issues to me and asked me to come back in to redo it free of charge. They are the real deal and extremely professional about their work. Will defintely come back for future enhancements as I'm looking to do some lowering springs from unplugged performance. The work I had done on my model 3 performance vinyl wrapped fiery orange, powder coated wheels gloss black, gloss black chrome delete with ceramic pro on top of it all. Also window tint all around. read more

Highly recommended! I had full frontal PPF and the gold package ceramic coating applied to a brand new Audi RS5. I was unsure about all of this, but Tanya provided exceptional communication throughout the whole process. On day 2 of having car back I started over analyzing the PPF and of course noticed a few bubbles and edge wrinkles and immediately panicked and started to doubt my decision to have this done. Tanya quelled my worry and confirmed that this is a very normal event. When I returned with the car on the 7 day inspection appointment, Conor expertly repaired every single visual imperfection. The PPF is now virtually invisible and the ceramic coating is stunningly thick, glossy, and slippery. Do not have any reservations about SS Customs..... the price is a bit higher than some but the product and experience from beginning to end is absolutely flawless. read more
