Had multiple communication issues between the estimator, scheduling department and the service…read morecrew. When the estimator came out I told them I wanted walls and doors all painted the same color. I received the estimate and it had a different paint listed for the doors. I asked why it was different and he explained that it was just a different finish but still the same color. It wasn't. He had the doors quoted as a completely different color so when he finally corrected the issue the original estimate went up in price even though that's what I requested in the first place. I still proceeded with the project and the day they were supposed to start (I was told 9 am) he didn't show up. I called the office and they reached out and said he was running late and would be there by 11. When he arrived he immediately apologized and said he had a family issue which is completely understandable but a phone call would have helped. He started the work and I left him to do his business but at one point I noticed he went out to his truck and didn't come back in the house for an extended period of time. I happened to look out the window and noticed he was spraying my driveway with a hose. I went outside to see what was going on and he spilled a can of paint in my driveway. I didn't complain but he immediately apologized and said he was going to request a discount for being late and the paint spill. The job was finished in two days and the quality of work was acceptable but again it was the poor communication. The office contacted me the following Monday to ask about the experience and I told them everything that happened and I was told a discount would be requested on my behalf. Again this discount was offered to me, I never requested anything but the office responded that he was within the designated arrival time and they would only apply a discount if the paint couldn't be cleaned from the driveway. This is not what he told me and if he didn't have the authority to offer discounts to customers he shouldn't have made the comment in the first place.

This company was recommended to me for having a house power washed. I went to their website and set…read moreup an appointment. Aaron showed up as expected, and I told him what I wanted. He looked around, took some notes and asked for my email address. He then told me that he would email an estimate to my by Saturday (this was Thursday) and if I wanted to go ahead with it they could do the work the following week. Saturday came and went and no estimate. Another Saturday came and went and still no estimate. Normally I would say that if you fail to follow up then you don't deserve my business. But I decided that I would call them since contacting another company would mean that I would have to start the process all over again. So I called Sunlight and told the guy who answered the phone my situation. He said that they normally don't do estimates on power washing and just charged a standard fee based on the square footage of the house. But he didn't want to give me a price in case Aaron has something else in mind, so he said he would have Aaron call me back. This all sounded particularly shady - what was so different about this house that he had to do an estimate in the first place? In what was becoming a pattern, Aaron didn't call. Fed up at this point, I contacted another company through their website and received a message at the end of the process that someone would be in contact with me. The next day I received a voicemail from them and I figured that they were calling to set up an appointment. Turns out, they had already been out to the house, wrote up and left an estimate and just needed the final word from me. I called them back, and they immediately set up a date for the work. Hey Sunlight, take a lesson - THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. I'm still waiting for your call, but that is useless information at this point. And if you didn't want the job, then at least have the guts to say so. Bottom line, if you are looking for a painting/power washing company that will give you nothing more than a monumental waste of time, then Sunlight is the one to call. UPDATE: After 3 weeks they finally did get back to me with an estimate and it was much higher than company I used. I guess I should thank them for dropping the ball because they would have wasted my money instead of my time.

The job and crew were horrible. They had to come to my home 3 times to get the paint right. During…read morethe estimate process I was asked "What is important to you in a painter". The main point I made to them as to not get paint where it didn't belong. We have stone and siding on the house as well. After their 1st visit, and the Franchise owner, Eric, told me the job was complete I walked the home. Eric happened to be there when I got home. They didn't remove clips that were around the garage, they painted over them. They painted over sap that was stuck to the house. They were supposed to paint the garage doors but chipped the paint and tried to touch it up. They painted around the house numbers. When you looked at the front of the house, the paint didn't match. They got paint on the stone, white window trim, siding, gutters and chipped the downspouts. Additionally, I was told they would pressure wash my home. They only pressure washed what they painted. After the 2nd trip to my home, many of the same problems were still there. They still had not pressure washed the remainder of the home. Finally, after the 3rd trip to my home, they pressure washed the entire house, blended all of the paint and got the paint off of the windows and stone. There is still paint on the gutters and sidings and the downspouts are still chipped. I had to call a second painter to give me an estimate on correcting their mistakes. The most insulting part to me was for all of the trouble they caused, they offered me $150 off the price. We finally settled on the amount the other painter is charging me to fix their mistakes.
