As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Mason and Savannah previously and found them to be so sweet and easy to work with as well as extremely professional. I knew that when I got married they would be at the top of my list for videography and I was so glad they were available! My husband still talks about how absolutely sweet and helpful Mason was on the day of our wedding, assisting him in getting his bow tie on when no one else knew how. He worked perfectly with our photographer team and even when we ran slightly behind schedule due to hair and makeup, he was on it with getting all the shots needed quickly so we could get back on track. The videos themselves I could watch on repeat constantly, every day, for the rest of my life. I still cry watching the full video and cannot stop smiling when I watch the teaser and full 8 minute cut. The drone shots, the details, all cut together seamlessly with our music and clips of the ceremony and speeches. Mason's work is beautiful, the camerawork and shots are breathtaking and made my humble backyard wedding look like a high budget royal wedding video. I love it sooooo much and am forever grateful that we will one day be able to watch this video with our children as well as show other family members who were not able to make it that day. Our wedding was thrown together in less than two weeks due to medical emergencies and videography was going to be my biggest challenge to nail down during wedding planning. Savannah quelled my anxieties by immediately jumping in to offer their videography services after hearing our story. I was then connected to Mason and was able to chat about my vision. Mason was so kind and immediately understood my vision for our videography on the day. When it came to the day of the wedding, Mason was professional and extremely on top of everything. My husband and I felt so at ease with his direction and filming style. We're both so awkward on camera and Mason really helped us feel natural and comfortable. On top of that, he had quite the set up of equipment, I have no doubt he captured everything that was important to our day. We had so many of our guests make comments about how "legit" our videographer was. I'm so thankful for Mason and Savannah, they truly made a huge impact on our lives. I can't wait to see the end result and I highly recommend Anchor Pictures as everyone's wedding videographers!

Lorenzo was recommended to my friend by a lady who's hired him a few times. So I texted him in early June about a 21st birthday party in Mid-August (this past weekend). I also called to lave him a voicemail. My initial text did not get a response until 5 days later. Apparently his phone wasn't returned to him until then. Fine, I didn't fret. Let me shorthand the text exchange and voicemails (that only I left, he never ONCE called me) with Lorenzo before all communication fell apart: June 12th- Me: "Please set aside the date (August 12th) and I will call you soon to discuss. Thanks." June 13th- Lorenzo: "Ok great" July 10th- Me: "Hey Lorenzo, I wanted to touch base about the party on the 12th. When I initially spoke to ------ he said you quoted him $--/hr plus $-- travel fee to go to Downey. That's a total of $--- plus tip. We are thinking of addint a tip instead of having a tip jar out. Is that fine with you?" Lorenzo: "Of course that's okay. Whatever you prefer" Me: Great. We're thinking of typical drinks for the menu. So we'll definitely buy tequila, rum, Malibu, vodka, and gin. What other liquor do you think we should buy?" NO RESPONSE Monday July 31- Me: "Hello. I will call you later today to discuss details for August 12th. Thanks" Wednesday August 2- Lorenzo: "Good morning. I'm sorry for getting back so late but I will call you later this afternoon to discuss your event" Me: "Thank you" OKAY, It's been a while since the initial contact. We should be able to get back on track. Later that afternoon........NO CALL. I give him a call and leave a voicemail. Days pass and I start to worry. NO RESPONSE. Monday August 7- THE WEEK OF THE PARTY! Me: "Address for Saturday: Number, Street, Downey, CA" Me: "What's a good time to discuss plans this evening." I leave him another voicemail. NO RESPONSE. Tuesday August 8- Me: "Please call me back. I'd like to know what's left to buy for you to have a set up ready." I leave another voicemail. NO RESPONSE. I call the person that recommended Lorenzo and he's now worried. He calls that lady that hires Lorenzo and she says this isn't like him. Well, apparently he is. Me: "Hey Lorenzo. I really need to hear back from you . I'm concerned you haven't responded to any of my messages and I think you're trying to avoid me. The party is this weekend and I need to make arrangements for you. Please call me. If I don't hear back from you by tomorrow I'll have to make other plans." NO RESPONSE!!! I was so pissed!.....and so was the friend that recommended him. That was so unprofessional. If you weren't available then at least have the courage to tell me instead of stringing me along for two months until the week of the event. I ended up bartending my niece's 21st birthday party. I learned how to make a few signature drinks and bought the supplies myself. It was actually cheaper that way. She wanted me there as a guest, and I promised her a bartender, so I didn't want to disappoint. I handled my end of the deal.....unlike Lorenzo. I see that another Yelper had the same terrible experience as me. Do yourself a favor, go with another bartender and secure them early over the phone with all the details up front. Don't let them get away with just texting you. Lesson learned.

I felt like I went back and forth a lot with their coordinator and it was pretty frustrating. I was not given a confirmation phone call a day before the event and their contact number went straight to voicemail. I was not very pleased about this... about 2 hours before the event, they called and confirmed they were coming.... This is the only reason they are missing a Star... As they arrived, and got down to it. AMAZING SERVICE! i was VERY pleased with how efficient and helpful they were to my guests and how fast they did my set up during my cocktail hour. 4 Stars to Lorenzo's Bar Service. I've waited two years to write this review because I hoped my feelings would have changed. They…read morehave not. I'm still upset about how Sondra handled my wedding. I hired Sondra to help me plan my wedding because she was a family friend and helped out with my twin sister's memorial. I purchased full planning from her because my wedding expertise at the time was novel and I wanted a pro to help me. Full planning included vendor selection, budget advice and construction, vendor contract and negotiations, guidance with menu selection, creation of a floor plan and timeline, confirming arrangements with the venue manager, attendance at the wedding rehearsal, direct liaison with vendors, final bill review, and hotel accommodations. She only completed three of these services. She joined me in vendor meetings via zoom, ran the rehearsal, and coordinated the wedding day. Every other part of the wedding planning process was done by me or the other vendors. She did not create a budget, timeline, or layout, and when there were venue and vendor issues because of COVID, my mom and I handled everything. She did not help with design at all and the worst part is she didn't set out our dinner menus, ceremony programs, or toasting glasses. These are things that any experienced planner would have asked for the night before so she could have set them out the day of the wedding. The reason I know this is because I am an event planner and over the past two years I have done almost 150 weddings. Our photo booth also caused me a ton of stress. She should have been liaising with this vendor but didn't. They canceled at the last minute and instead of problem-solving or handling this as she was supposed to have done, per our contract, she just decided not to tell me. The thing that I'm most upset about is that I made a fun venue scavenger hunt and a crossword puzzle on the programs so our guests would have something to do during cocktail hour. The wedding was at a historical mansion that had tons of amazing features like an underground tavern, hand-carved statues, and incredible stained glass windows. The goal of the scavenger hunt was to allow guests to explore the beautiful mansion but because Sondra did not have the foresight to ask for these things before the wedding day, my guests never got to do the scavenger hunt and they had no idea that they were allowed to explore the grounds. Sondra had no relevant information about the venue because I liaised with them and the other vendors. She also did not set out our party favors or custom toasting glasses which were a gift from my mom. All of these items were with the other decor, and she never once thought to ask me or the decorators about them. I had 1000 other things to do on that day, including handling the hair and makeup timeline, making sure the flowers were delivered, meeting the other vendors (another two things Sondra should have done), ensuring that everyone had lunch, and getting myself ready for the day, etc. I hired a planner to think of and handle these small details so I wouldn't have to. When I told her I was upset about these things that didn't get done, she said she didn't read minds and she couldn't have possibly known about them. This is untrue. I had sent her a text with photos of the menus and programs literally days before the wedding. The favors and toasting glasses were right next to the menus and programs with the rest of the decor. All she had to do was ask me or the decorators about them, instead, she blamed the decorators for not setting those items out. No! Setting out personal items is the job of the day of coordinator, any experienced planner knows this. Even if setting these items out was delegated to the decorators, Sondra as the event coordinator should have double-checked the tasks were done. Her job was to make sure the setup was complete. She didn't do this. Sondra is a very nice person and I've seen her other work. It's phenomenal. I'm just still upset, even after two years, that when it came to my special day, so many things were missed. I received no help managing the vendors during the planning process nor on the day of the wedding, this is especially frustrating since everything was done during COVID and while I was battling a severe illness. I needed her to do her job, and whatever coordination she did do on the day was not confirmed with me. I saw her lounging for hours by the fire pit with my husband's family when she should have been coordinating vendor meals, speeches, cake-cutting, and parent dances. She took zero responsibility for her actions or lack thereof and even though I had a wonderful time, I often think about how things would have been way less stressful and disappointing if I had just hired a planner with more wedding experience or someone with more time. I know she had a lot on her plate during my wedding, but that does not excuse the fact that I didn't receive the planning services I expected, paid for, and needed.

We had a high budget but also high pressure - it was the kind of retreat where we we did a partial hotel buyout, flew in multiple VIPs both within the company and within our industry to do fireside chats and panels, all meals were catered or restaurant buyouts, activities, entertainment, corporate swag giveaways, transportation, afterparties etc. I relinquished control and I am so glad I did because every last detail was thought about and taken care of by Wylie and his magical elves, from the mundane (insurances, vendor contracts, travel planning, etc) to the magnificent (stunning tablescapes and florals, an on-site embroiderer for our merch station, even an AMAZING magician Wylie hired to do up-close magic during our final dinner). Wylie allowed me and my team to be as involved as we wanted to be along the way and seemed to genuinely appreciate and take seriously our feedback; he really held our hand and was flexible to last minute additions and ideas.
