Tried ordering online and received an error that it did not go through. Called the order in instead. Enjoyed most of the food (they forgot my sticky rice) but than received a phone call that my order was ready. I told the caller what had happened and they told me they were charging me for the order anyway because I placed it online. I explained there was an error and they insisted I come pick up the food. I told them I was not and told them I have proof the order didn't go through. They didn't care and said I was going to be charged. Will now have to dispute the charge through my bank. Sadly, will not be returning due to their lack of customer service. read more

It's bland and tastes like it wasn't seasoned with Thai seasonings. The mango sticky rice had uncooked rice or old rice because some parts were too hard to chew. I ordered Pad Broccoli for this review. So, on my plate came lightly steemed broccoli with Chicken and a ball of rice. It said it came with special sauce. If there is something special about their soy sauce then yes it is special. I didnt taste anything special about it. The rice lacked any kind of flavor or really presentation other than a round mound. It was plain white rice. I like a little spice in my Thai food so I asked for medium spicy when I ordered. If their idea of medium spice is putting some pepper flakes on top of the meal and calling it good is medium spice then, they nailed it. To me that just lacks the effort to actually create a dish. Its just like throwing Tabasco on some wings and calling them hot. I guess this is where the vegetables come in. Carrots seemingly frozen carrots. thrown in and cooked with the chicken. I dont know if they call that fresh preparation but I dont. Can you see where I am struggling with the third star. Just too many deductions to get there. If you want authentic Thai in Gresham, you have to go here. It's a local spot owned by a family I'm pretty sure and I haven't had such flavorful thai food in awhile. If you're also into spice they definitely have it for you. I love spicy food and rarely consider anything spicy so when I ordered I asked for it at a level 5 (they ask you how spicy you want it from 1-5) and it was one of the more spicy dishes I've tasted. Pretty good Thai Food! Upon entrance my husband and I were a bit hesitant about seeing our visit through, we even gave each other the look that said shall we run? However, in the end we were glad we stayed. Especially when the hostess/waitress overcame her lack of personality by giving us a slight smile after handing us the bill, then we agreed that our visit wasn't so bad. We ordered some tasty dishes from the cook (super sweet and lively woman cooking in the back - not the hostess/waitress), my husband ordered the shrimp curry and I ordered the cashew nut with tofu. Both dishes were very tasty, even if a little on the sweet side. I also ordered fresh coconut water - I received a whole coconut, yep a whole coconut, lopped off at the top with a straw stuck inside to drink from, while hubby had a Thai beer. We also ordered the salad rolls, but weren't as impressed with them as some of the others who came before us; they were a bit stale and dry. :( I think we will be back and try some of the other dishes. I am hoping that the hostess/waitress was just having a bad day and will maybe turn her scowl upside down ... if not any attempt will do. The stars are all about the food and the customer service. I only got my Pad Thai and Som Tum to go and they were both amazing. The flavors were tremendous and not your run of the mill thai. I like my food spicy but it's always a judgment call for what stars mean as far as how much heat you want. I just told her to give me medium and it was perfect. A lot of times they are shy about heating up your food but not here. Also I noticed that the portions are so much bigger than I remember. They've updated the inside and there are booths available now. Better ambience with darker colors. They are not selling alcohol right now. Enjoyed a really nice dinner at Srisiamchai Thai Restaurant. Our appetizers of Fresh Rolls (salad rolls) were fresh and crisp, and I liked that the accompanying peanut sauce was heated up and warm. One of our entrees was Pink Lady, which was fried shrimp in a light crispy coating and a sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The sauce was similar to Thai sweet chili sauce. The texture of the batter on the shrimp was sort of like tempura, which I like. Our entree of Lemongrass Chicken was very tasty, with marinated grilled chicken on a bed of a variety of veggies. . .broccoli, carrot, and spinach. . .with peanut sauce on top. The ONLY downside to the entire meal was that the chicken meat in this entree was quite tough. Not sure how white chicken meat can turn out that tough, and it was a distraction. Update: Last few times I went, not quiiittte as awesome. Joe has moved on, and he was a star, so one less star. The food is still good though. I really love this place. I'd highly recommend the crunchy deep fried basil dish, the larb, and some pad "something" dish with thick noodles that I can never remember the name of (but last time I went in I described it that way and they told me what it was...I gobbled it up and forgot what it was called again, ha). The pad thai is nothing to write home about though. Anyway, Joe is awesome. Super friendly. Never remembers my name but it's all good. He's super generous and accommodating. Always in high spirits. It's not quite the same on the rare occasions when he's not there. He gives you free rolls, drinks, and a little sticky rice & mango dessert.The prices are reasonable, and every time I've been there the food is done QUICK. I always leave a huge tip. Everyone I've brought to this place has loved it. Maybe Thai food connoisseurs have more criticism about the food, but that's not me. This is a small quaint spot, looks very clean on the inside. Tried the fresh rolls with shrimp they were fine. We are gluten-free and had an interesting discussion with the waitress. She commented because of it being gluten-free there wouldn't be much flavor because they have to leave out ingredients that would give it flavor? I tried the Srisiam crispy basil upon the recommendation of our server. First off rice was slightly overcooked but just barely. My dish comes with chicken, shrimp, fried basil and a secret sauce. My first comment is about the shrimp in the dish. There was literally one or at the most two shrimp in this dish cut into small pieces 95% of this dish is chicken. The dish was well cooked but lacked almost any flavor. I think the secret of the sauce is trying to find the flavor in it. I will say the basil was nicely crisp though. Wife have the cashew nut chicken lunch. The ingredients looked fresh but again not a lot of flavor. They are currently in the entertainment book with a coupon. The service couldn't be better - Joe is a great guy. Space is small, but comfortable. It can get crowded if more than a few people show up at the same time; and they always do. The place smells wonderful. Joe brings complimentary appetizers, and jokes around with his customers. I like Joe, but I think he missed his calling - he needs a stage and a spotlight. The Pad Thai is delicious. It's certainly not the best I've had, but it's very good. The curries have great flavors and textures. My only complaint about Srivichai Thai are the portions. Over the past year, the portions have been shrinking, and while I've also noticed this phenomenon at other eateries as well, my last order of Pad Thai at Srivichai was appallingly petite. So, If you want some pretty decent Thai food, uniquely friendly service from a very sweet guy, and your not real hungry, Srivichai Thai is a good choice. read more

We "discovered" this little delicious Thai restaurant a few months ago when we were hitting up our usual dinner at Nicholas. Maybe because a friend had pointed out the yarn store that sprang up on the corner of Main St, but I was paying special attention to the stores and was totally shocked to see a Thai food restaurant in downtown Gresham. As someone who spent the last 7 years working in Vancouver, WA with plenty of Thai places to eat - it was highly upsetting that I couldn't locate a restaurant close to my home. But here it was! We decided to snack here on our anniversary - and it was a smart move. The mood of the place was mellow, the waitress was so sweet and helpful. She even put up with my barrage of questions about how long the place had been open. Apparently, I've been blind or something, because it's been here for awhile! Which means the business is steady and hopefully it's not going anywhere any time soon. The Tom Kha soup was heavenly (though I regretted not ordering tomatoes) and my DH really enjoyed his appetizer sampler platter. I snagged a Massaman curry, because that's usually pretty tough to botch. We shared a Thai Iced Tea. We had way too much food - but that was fine because it led to delicious left-overs the next day. My wife and I had a late lunch here because we had business in the area. The place was empty, probably due to the hour, and we had the place to ourselves. The waiter was very helpful and he steered us towards two excellent selections. My wife reported that her shrimp Pad Thai was the best she had ever had. I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought out my Volcano Beef and it WAS ON FIRE! Also, it tasted awesome although the beef chunks were cut about twice as big as I would have liked. I'm a chili pepper junkie. Nothing short of jolo-haba-mexi-penos soaked in Dave's Insanity special reserve gets me spiced up. I've hit everything in portland and asked for the spiciest they have. Lemongrass, 20, done that. Buffalo wild wings challenge, light vinegar flavor (i have the video to prove it). I CAN taste the food through all the flames, my taste buds for spicy have all been roasted off and I still crave more... I've been here 5 times, each time jabbing at the nice old man Joe, who still remembers me from the first time I ate there... I keep telling him that he is not making it hot enough for me. I ordered the 'all the way to the heaven' spicyness in curry and in the pad khee mao. nothing. no sweat, no head tingle, no 45 minute tongue on fire-water does nothing. I begged him again and again to make it hotter. The last time there, he said he would kill me. Well, I'm still alive and I've moved on to spicier Thai pastures. He does bring out an appetizer and some dessert (sometimes). I think for any normal person out there, this is a good place to eat. read more
