Food is great, service is moderate, pricing is normal, speed is... unreliable. Pretty standard prices for thai food these days, and though i have my local favorite, this is across the street from the kids TKd and so ive eaten here a few times. I usually get to go food, so call in, drive over and wait for it to be ready, most of the time its pretty close to the estimated time. Though twice now it seems they start making it when you show up. Theyll say like 'there was an error' or 'we had to remake it' but i think their phone order filing system might be the case. Yum!!! I ordered their thai fried rice & salad rolls with peanut sauce from UBEREATS. If you've seen past reviews for thai restaurants while getting food to go, you know I am very skeptical about ordering food to go because I feel like the trapped steam takes the flavor out of the food. So while some dishes might be amazing while dining at the restaurant- they may not be so good to go. The fried rice held up really well! I got level 2 spice it was perfect as I had a long weekend and didn't want anything too exciting. Lots of veggies and flavors, I got mine with tofu. I used the peanut sauce to dip my tofu and large pieces of veggies in. Their peanut sauce is so good! It reminds me of a chicken satay marinade I have used before. I would give this place 3.5 stars but it's not allowing me to do half star. The Thai Fried Rice was great, as well as the Veggie Delight which comes with steamed rice. They really have great taste. The crab puffs was very good too. And the service was fast. What I didn't like here is the financial scam in front of its menu. They will charge additional $5 if you order one dish and split it between 2 people. I don't think it's right. It's none of their business how you eat what you ordered. This is a one-hit review. I came here for a close by soup fix because they offered beef noodle soup and wasn't willing to travel far. First impression was the place is small but relatively clean. Service is slow and sub-par. The guy working the orders and tables didn't seem to be particularly friendly or at least in the beginning. Very cut to the chase, doesn't care for small talk, but will get your order. Although, did see a hint of a smile and thanks when I gave a reasonable tip after the visit. Seems like most people come here pre-ordered to pick up their food for take home rather than eat in. Probably good reason for that. Part of the eat-in experience certainly caused some annoyance when some of the customers sitting nearby were blatantly loudly listening to their (what I can only assume) their FB wall posts on their cellphones. Nobody seemed to care, including the staff. Very disrespectful, I thought, when you are trying to eat your meal. The beef noodle soup was...ok. It did have decent flavor, especially after I added some heat to the broth. However, the beef was a little suspect in my opinion. Wasn't a lot and what was there was very chewy and gristle-y in some. Lots of noodles, some scallions, moderate portion of sprouts, some basil leaves, and a few slices of jalapeno. Certainly overpriced at $12 ($15 with tip) for most places. At some point, I may come back and try some of the more traditional Thai dishes that they offer when the mood strikes and update this review. read more

If you live in Gresham, Troutdale, Damascus, or east Portland areas, this is the best thai around that you will find! I've been to EVERY single one around these areas and none compare. Because of its location I have never even thought of coming here but I this place was constantly getting recommended to me by friends and coworkers, so I decided to give it a try. So far after a few visits I have not been disappointed. Walking in you can see the place is kept pretty neat. Doesn't have a hint of a rotten smell like many other places do. The service is always quick and server (always a young guy) is nice and patiently answers all your questions. I used to think the faster the food is prepared, the worst it would taste.. but this place disproves that theory for me. The food almost always has come out in under ten minutes and ALWAYS tastes amazing. No matter what I've ordered always tasted good (ive tried their stir fries, curries, noodles, soups, and fried rice) not a single item has ever come tasting watered down like most places I've been to. We are new to the area and been looking for some good Thai place. We ordered just two meals: Pad Kee Mao, and Tom Kha. Tom Kha was the freaking bomb, it was really good and it has a pleasing aroma, possibly from the lemongrass and galangal together, so yummy! Not sure if it comes with rice? It didn't say in the menu but it seems like you have to eat it with rice. Anyway, still good. Pad Kee Mao was also the same, it taste amazing! I was looking for a more affordable option to find pho near Gresham, and was really surprised to find someone's Yelp comment state that they have a pho soup here. At $11, it's more that I'm used to paying at my favorite pho restaurant in Portland, but it was good and really hit the spot on a cold rainy day. The broth wasn't absolute the best I've tasted, but everything else was spot-on. The person who was waiting tables also is apparently the owner, and he runs a tight ship, and comes off as stern at first, but he smiled and was super professional. He took the time to answer all my questions to make sure it was gluten-free, and that I could substitute the fried tofu instead of meat slices. Overall, I'm really looking forward to coming back here with my guy to actually try the Thai food. In particularly the Calamari that cost me $9.50 and only received 6pcs that were so hard and rubbery. Shocked me! Then I ordered Orange chicken, and omg that was terrible. I felt so bad having to feed my 9yr old boy his most favorite dish and to see his reaction to how bad it was. Small hard pieces of chicken that seemed to be scraps that were thrown In the fryer and served with a scoop of white rice that they put in the same DINNER container. Seemed more like a lunch portion of terrible orange chicken. I will never order or come to this place ever again. It smelled like gym socks and tasted like something had spoiled. I took 2 bites: the first was gross, but I tried it once more to see if I was mistaken. Nope: terrible. Our unsmiling waiter didn't check on us until my husband was finished with his meal. I told him about my disappointing meal, and he said he was sorry about that. So our bill arrived, Pad Thai on it. I asked if he had made a mistake... the pad Thai was inedible. So he said all the could do was make another one or I could order something different. What?! That's only a solution if you check in on us right away! But that didn't happen today. Dear owner: this is a terrible policy, and you're hurting your server's livelihoods if you don't guarantee your kitchen's cooking. The yellow curry was good and so were the egg rolls. the crab puffs are GOOD- like the best I have had in the PDX area. My family lives for a good crab puff and we all agreed they were superior, lol. My Tom Khai was FANTASTIC. Exactly what I needed on a chilly day. Served properly in with a flame still going to keep it warm. Try ordering a side of rice too. I dumped some rice in the extra bowl they brought me then laddled my soup over it... very hearty and warming. I got it with soft tofu and veggies and it truly was loaded, not just all broth... big enough to share! My mother in law got some chilled garden rolls. They didn't look terribly appetizing, but perhaps because I was hankering for something hot and steamy I may have been turned off bias-ly. I didn't taste them, she said they were good. Small shopping center venue so plenty of parking. Staff was kind, but they don't speak a terribly large amount of English. I was loving the ginger spirals in the soup they put to flavor it. Although you're not really supposed to eat them whole, I found myself sucking them dry when I was done. I didn't realize it was just ginger earlier so I asked if they could tell me what that ingredient was, it took a minute for them to translate but figured it out eager to answer, very sweet, very sweet. I never really write any reviews. But I had a very unpleasant experience by just picking up food delivery from this restaurant. A person who helped me, hanged me two bags and other other on a side for the order. I asked him politely to give me two extra bags so l could carry everything. He said bags are 25 cents each. I responded that l only do deliveries, and it's uncomfortable to Barry all the items the way they bagged, but he still refused to give me those bags. It's honestly just ridiculous. I hate to tell the truth. To be somewhat fair we ate out alot pre covid and only half as much during covid and food to go in general in Portland and Gresham and has gone way down hill. For Example the Tom Kah I ordered had water thin broth, the mushrooms were water logged, no flavor just soaked in water, the tomatoes were red and yellow as in spoiling. Ordered it as a mild spice level #2 but I had to put peanut sauce in it as it was so bland. The salmon avocado was blah, the salmon was a cheap freezer burn scrap. It was supposed to be a 2 level but far exceeded that. It just seems like the food quality at this place is very low. I won't order from here again for the above reasons and one more. My food wasn't ready when estimated and that was the case for 4 others. There was one guy up front wearing a mask and gloves and cleaning everything down well but there was only 1 girl working the kitchen and I watched her bring out the food one dish at a time then slow walk back to the kitchen, no big hurry.
