I appreciated Gustavo's edification on flooring types and the pros and cons of product choices between flooring contractors and Floor & Decor. Seems there's a big difference in the "Uni Click" and "Easy Click" types of planks that is not addressed in online tutorials. (He advocates the former.) We had originally decided on Floor & Decor products and merely sought installation estimates. Although we ultimately lucked out in meeting with Anthony and finding commensurately-priced products, I suggest more initial pushback to educate first-timers about quality differences and pricing. Big-box stores aren't necessarily the best choice. We are pleased with the new bedroom look and anticipate similar carpet replacement throughout the house down the road.

Replacement of broken tiles looks good, but time will tell if it lasts. The new sealer didn't seal. It unfurtanately rained the day after they finished, and multiple pin-holes and bubbles allowed water to get under the new sealing, leading to white splotches on the tile. In addition, one worker apparently stepped on the sealer while it was uncured, leaving an imprint of his sneaker under 6 layers of sealer. They did come back and "clean the surface" but it is clear to even an untrained eye the the issue with the pinholes went down to the bottom layer, Despite the apparently good reviews online, my experiece left me with a bad taste, WMMV

Just by chance, we received a promotion from Southwest tile, and made an unlikely cold call to them. Surprisingly, the owner picked up the call, promptly came over for a meeting, and with one handshake we knew we wanted to work with his company. We have built & remodeled homes before and Raul has all the qualities we were hoping for. He's the perfect combination of talent, enthusiasm, and integrity. Our job was timely, with considerate crew, and absolutely on budget. The bathroom is gorgeous and we would not change a thing.
