I have used Steve for several painting jobs at my office and at my home. I have never been unhappy with his work. He is very fair in his pricing as well. I asked him the paint one of my bathrooms about a week before my daughter's wedding. When I got home I decided that I hated the color. I called him and I said no worries and promised me to have the bathroom repainted before all our guests arrived. I had him repaint it the color that he suggested I paint it in the first place and I loved it! Also, I have an office and needed a partial wall painted and did not have the original paint. He did an awesome job at matching the paint and feathering in the new color so that the new tenants could not even tell which saved me because otherwise, I would have had to have everything repainted. From my research online, I read the most important part of the painting is surface prep. Steve spent a lot of time power washing and scraping the old paint off. He also had this special way of putting on the paint also where he would spray and then roll to make sure it's pressed in really well. We are really very happy with the results. I don't write much reviews but I feel like I need to pay it forward. During the month of May 2017, it was extremely difficult to find available painters before we moved in to our new condo. Everyone included Steve had a 2 month wait period. Luckily for us, someone canceled and Steve and his crew were able to come out. You can just read the previous review. The price was reasonable since we had another quote for 2x the price. We live in a 2 bed 2 bath + loft and the ceilings are extremely high. SR painting did an excellent job and the work was very detailed. The lines are straight, trims and doors were painting perfectly. The job took 4 days and I was extremely happy with the job. SR Painting painted the outside of my home a few years ago and just completed painting the interior. They did a great job recommending colors, working with another contractor doing the floors and baseboards and completing the job on time. The job is always top notch. But this recommendation comes because they came back and touched up the paint after the flooring guys left smudges and marks all over the walls. They didn't need to do that but wanted to make sure their job was perfect. And, on top of that, Steve is honest, forthright and fair. I wanted to write a review of SR Painting because they did a great job on our house in Pleasanton. Steve, the owner, was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and nice. They were on-time, worked hard, and got the job done exactly when they said. I got the recommendation from a friend and thought I would return the favor on Yelp! The price was great and the service was excellent. Steve and his team were VERY thorough (since prep work is 90% of the job). We had a two-story house with one color on top and different below, with white trim all around. Plus, they did really great job on our front wood posts that were extremely weathered (we originally thought we might have to replace and now they look brand new). Steve Roney and his associates painted my mother's house in early September, 2013. She and I are delighted with the results. They were respectful, punctual and great to deal with. Steve takes pride is his work and wants happy clients who will feel good about referring him. He was not the cheapest bid we had, but his bid was fair and his understanding of the intricasies of the job were spot-on. We are so glad we chose him instead of the cheaper painter. Also, he is licensed and bonded. Our job included a tongue-and-groove open beam ceiling and walls that hadn't been painted in 25 years or more. We recommend him without reservation. They spent more time prepping than actually painting, which made all the difference in the final outcome. He and his crew always showed up when they said they would. They were professional and was nice enough to ask what the priorities were. That enabled my son's room to be put on the top of the list, changing the color of his new room from purple to grey and the look on his face when he got home from school that day said it all. This review is long overdue and a well deserved 5 star plus rating for SR Painting. Steve, the owner, is a great guy, professional, responsive, reasonably price, and does exceptional work. I first engaged Steve about two years ago to paint the exterior of my house. Steve and his team did an excellent job, they prepped well, pre-cleaning the siding, carefully prepping to protect the stonework, and shrubbery. They were efficient and maintained high quality throughout the process. In addition, I had them paint most of my interior last year and a couple of weeks ago, completed my master bedroom. In all cases, Steve and team did an excellent job painting and cleaning up. In summary, SR Painting is professional, provides high quality painting at a fair and reasonable price, and most importantly is a pleasure to work with. Being pleasant, easy-to-do business with and communicating well is worth a lot in the construction, home improvement industry and Steve has stood out in the pool of vendors I've dealt with. SR Painting deserves 5 PLUS stars!!! I found them on Yelp and called Steve (the owner) based on reviews citing their "impeccable attention to detail". I have never been more pleased with the quality of workmanship! I am extremely particular and meticulous. Based on previous experiences with contractors (paint and otherwise), I started to believe that if you want the job done right and well, you would have to do it yourself! But that's not always realistic or feasible. Juan's work is AMAZING! I can't say enough about his workmanship, from start to finish. We used dark paint colors and the lines/edging are super straight and crisp! No errant paint anywhere! The difference between Juan/SR Painting and other painters is like night and day! I am over the moon with the work he performed! Wish we could afford to have him re-paint our entire house (which was painted less than a year ago!). read more
