We had entered the International House of Pancakes and even signed up on the 15-20 waitlist but ultimately we decided to hop out of the iHop. We had given up all hopes as not everyone was on board with the countless suggestions thrown. We went over to Google as a last resource and we encountered this hidden gem only a mere 9 minutes away and something inside of me knew, I just knew this was THE place to go. We fired up the rental car and headed that way. As we arrived, we were greeted with a cozy atmosphere feeling like I was back home in Jalisco once again. The menu was limited but surprising and included powerhouses such as menudo, pozole, barbacoa, machado, chilaquiles, etc. We decided to order a little bit of everything: pozole, barbacoa, chilaquiles, papa asada and enchiladas, a good mix. There are no words to describe how exquisite our meals were but I will give it a try. Our meals felt like the first time you kiss your crush after a date, like winning the lottery after being down on your luck. It was simply perfect. For what we got, the prices were impressive as well. $10 for FOUR, yes FOUR, soft and non fatty tacos & a big bowl of pozole. $2.50 for a sweet natural cucumber lime water. Please do not underestimate this precious place and give it a shot. I promise, no I can assure you, you won't regret it. 10/10.
