This place is your typical Mexican seafood place located in a VERY Mexican area of town. The food is yummy, it's priced right, and the service, for me, has always been friendly. I usually go with a big group of in-laws and we get the seafood platter. It's huge and feeds a group. A nice option for Mexican seafood in the Valley. read more

Miguel is a bad service guy did not give us more chips and beans and took long to give us our food

This is the perfect local spot to stop by and feel like you are at home, great menu variety and delicious flavors..

First and foremost, 15 calls were made to the restaurant to place an order to go, and no answer from anyone. Once at the restaurant, I asked the person at the front why they weren't answering and she said the phones were not working. However, the phone was ringing. Once the order was placed, she did tell me it would take anywhere between 40-50 min., which was fine. Approaching the hour, I went up to counter and asked how much longer. The young lady rolled her eyes and asked for my name. I receive my order and I'm missing multiple items, and she laughed it off. I've always been a fan of this restaurant and have never had such bad service. I'm understanding of situations and can see when a place is short handed. I'm just not so understanding when your rude and decide to lie and roll your eyes. read more

Food was great. I had the shrimp quesadilla plate and they were yummy. My father had a fried mojarra (fish) and my mom had a fish and shrimp plate. The waitress was friendly and accommodating with our small group of six and they served us chips with fried beans and two sauces. The atmosphere was upbeat and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. The compline soup was tasty and a perfect start read more

You say you like Mexican seafood and chicharron de pescado? Then this is the place you want to visit. Hands down one of the best places to get some good fish in the Valley. I was first introduced to the wonderful food in this place by a good friend and former client who brought a huge order of fish to my law office. Ever since then I've been in love with this place and always try and stop by when I go by the San Juan Shrine. Even after it has been transported from San Juan to McAllen, the food retains its delicious flavor and you can just imagine what it is like fresh at the restaurant. Try the chicharron de pescado! You'll love the crispy fillets and the fresh tortillas. They have good salsa verde to go along with it, or a decent tartar sauce if that is your garnish of choice. I give this place a great rating and recommend it to all my friends out there. You won't be disappointed. read more

Food is good but They can work on bettering their staff. Not worth the gratuity that they force upon the customer.

The food is good when dining in but take out is a different story. After many attempts of explaining that the heat from the fish melts the styrofoam plate giving it a terrible taste. Uploaded a photo for proof maybe this will change their ways and use a liner from now on. Just dine in. read more

Great place to eat. All there dishes are great. Friendly service and clean environment.

Their phone kept going to voicemail so we had to order through GrubHub for pick up. We ordered at 5:30 and the app said it'll be ready for pick up between 6:25 and 6:35. We finally received our food at around 7:20 (we arrived at 6:20) we waited for an hour. The whole time we were there we didn't hear the phone ring once. They made calls to tell people their food was ready but they never answered the phone. We even called their number 30 minutes into our wait and didn't hear a ring. Not only was the wait long but the food was cold. It only took 5 minutes to get home and nothing was warm. It would've been nice if they gave us our food when it was ready and not waited for it to cool down. Food is good but if you're ordering to pick it up don't get anything you'd expect to be warm. read more

So, I really wasn't impressed by the food, Service, or managerial customer service. On top of that the Soup Sucked . No flavor at all, and the crawfish was rubbery and nasty. Oh and after the server messed up my order and and delivered my main dish about 15 minutes before my appetizer. I still had to pay for a canceled appetizer. They tried to make I better by offering me a free desert., why not just cancel my order that they bagged and boxed up to go. The place IsNo Bueno ...... read more

This is the best seafood restaurant here in San Juan.Always good service and delicious food.

The fish was dry and small. For a 16 oz I think it was too small. The ceviche is terrible, like everything in the Valley very salty. Poor overall. read more

Shrimp cocktail with no tomato? Nombre no. Not good. Fried shrimp was good with seasoned fries. Fajita tacos were good. Lemonade was fresh. Over all not bad. read more

First off: the food was either dry, or felt greasy; no middle ground. I didn't like anything that I ordered. It kinda made my stomach hurt the day after. The only thing that I found that was "alright" is that the price isn't too too bad. read more

I cannot emphasize enough to people that I'm allergic to celery. I tell the waitress that am allergic and she even suggested dishes without it. Guess what the white rice with vegetables had celery. Couldn't finish my dish Had to get up run across the street to a Walgreens spend 15.00 dollars for some Benadryl. Went back and they were smiling like if was funny. The food might be good but they really screw it up here didn't even said we are sorry plus they still charge me for their error. First and believe me LAST. read more
