In talking to the owner, I found out that her falafel recipe was handed down through her family, and is made with chickpeas and favs beans. It was delicious, crispy on the outside and richly flavorful - easily one of the best I've had. The gyro was delicious too, and the tzatziki sauce was fresh and flavorful. Of course, food truck ambiance is dependent upon location. Ours was stellar. The Pita Stroller came to our neighborhood and parked under the giant live oaks dripping g with Spanish moss, and we took our meals to a nearby porch table. Great food in a picturesque setting - what could be better?

I had the hamburger and french fries for &$15 and well worth every dime. First off, the french fries were quite light as if they were mashed potatoes which had been fried. The flavor of the seasoning is hard to describe but immensely pleasurable. The hamburger had a bit of a curry taste, with broiled onions, cheese and a plump burger on a brioche bun. A bit greasy but I will take this any day that the taste is so doggone good. OK, it was great, not just good.

We placed our order around 6:50 PM. The man running the truck (the only one working) even commented about how slow business was. Despite that, by 7:40 we still hadn't gotten our food though several people who ordered after us had already been served. When my boyfriend checked, the guy said there was still "one person ahead of us" and that he'd bring the food over when ready. Around 8:00 PM over an hour later he finally came out with two sandwiches. But instead of what we ordered (one Classic and one Chicken Bacon Ranch), he handed us two Classics. When my boyfriend asked if one of them was ours, he said yes, but then immediately walked over and gave one of the sandwiches to another couple waiting. It seemed clear that he had completely forgotten about our order and just tried to hand us someone else's food. At that point, we were left with just one correct sandwich after waiting more than an hour. He told us he'd fix it quickly, and about five minutes later brought out the Chicken Bacon Ranch we had originally ordered. Earlier, he had offered us a refund because of the long wait, but when we asked about it after getting the corrected order, he became defensive and irate. He told us things like: "If you were in a restaurant you'd wait 30 minutes," (we had waited over an hour). and "Why would I refund you, you seem to be enjoying that sandwich just fine," (while we were sharing one sandwich because we were starving). He also tried to guilt us by explaining that he pays for everything himself and even asked for "compensation" despite the fact I had already tipped him 20% when we first ordered. Instead of apologizing, he raised his voice across the bar, made us feel like we were the problem, and then walked away mid-conversation. As someone who works in food and beverage, I know mistakes happen but the way you handle them is what defines good service. This was the exact opposite: poor organization, extremely long wait, wrong order, broken promises of a refund, and an worker who treated us rudely instead of professionally.

Loved to see the support from my neighbors! I was able to checkout the menu before heading down and had set my sights on their new Mexican Mac & Shrimp Bowl. This bowl was listed with the following -- mac & cheese, Cajun butter poached shrimp, queso, peppers and onions, black bean corn salsa, citrus crema, salsa sauce, jalapeños, and tortilla strips and cilantro. All things I love! Once I got to the window and placed my order I only had a short wait to receive my food. The guy at the window was super friendly! I brought the goods home and knew I was going to have leftovers for days. (Which I'm still enjoying!!!). As you can tell from the list of ingredients above I found the bowl offered a lot of fun combinations making for a great eating experience. The 2 things that would have elevated the bowl for me would have been salt and spice! I understand that serving a large range of clientele from a food truck would force seasoning to be on a lighter handed side versus a heavy handed side. But the reality is that I got to bring my bowl home and adjust the seasoning and spice level myself. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the FU truck again.

Classics like Buffalo, Mild, BBQ, Teriyaki, etc., and special ones that I really never heard of, like Jamaican Jerk, Old Bay, Nashville, Sweet Red Chili, and so on. Basically, any flavor you could want. Anyways, I ordered just the 8 pieces of Teriyaki Boneless, but the kind owner decided to give me some Cajun Fries on the house. The wait didn't really feel long at all, probably a 10-15 minute wait, which is really fast. So, I got the food and headed home to try it out. The Cajun fries were mostly seasoned, crispy, and tasted good. The boneless chicken bite itself was tender and cooked well. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like the real deal, a mixture of sweet, savory, tangy, and salty. The box also came with one carrot and one celery stick. They were decently sized, and I'm not usually a vegetables guy, but I tried them out and was amazed. The celery stick balanced out the chicken and fries and was really refreshing to have. I went back and gave my feedback to the owner, and I just have to say, the owner was really nice. I could tell that this is what he wanted to do, and this is his dream. He's a people person. If you ever order from Nothing But Chicken and notice that one piece is smaller than the others, don't worry; there will be an extra piece in the box just for you. The only issue I had was with the menu, a bit confusing to understand, but overall not a big problem. The food is good, the owner is nice. I would recommend trying it out for yourself! I will highly go back again to order.
