My partner's 2nd generation iPad had an epic battle with our concrete patio. Needless to say the iPad lost and I was to blame. I had to get the device fixed before a trip across the Atlantic -- this is how it went down: (1) I woke up around 8:00am (I'm on furlough, leave me alone) and went to the iCracked website; intuitive, easy to use; input my information and I received an automatic text. (2) No more than 5 minutes later I had a text message from Lawton asking how he can be of service; I described my problem, asked for a quote and agreed to him helping me out -- scheduled a 10am appointment (3) Lawton showed up a couple minutes early and finished the repair in under an hour. (4) iPad is fully operational and happy once again. An amazing service -- easy to use web interface, quick response time, and reasonable (and competitive) prices. What more can one ask for? P.S. This place is a complete JOKE. They never answer your phone. If they pick up, they are super fake. They will give this ridiculous form to fill out, which is stupid and pointless considering their response from the fill out is utterly irrelevant to what you fill. John doesn't know what he's doing. He came into my house, which is really dodgy by the way, and kept his shoes on even though no one wear's shoes in my house. the mud stains from his boots are still on my floor. He continuously tried to up sell me while doing the repair and dropped tiny screws left and right. Finally he finishes up and was never able to find one screw that he dropped and said that it doesn't make a difference on the function of the phone. The phone still isn't working and now he isn't picking up his phone. Don't go to these guys, this is stupid. They are WAYYY over-priced and they don't even have any overhead like real, legitimate businesses do. Their parts are apparently all after-market parts, as I've been told by the Apple store in Lennox. Scam artists. They don't even have an office you can go to complain to. I had my phone fixed with iCracked and a day later my home button wouldn't work and my screen would randomly call people and click on things that I never touched. When I tried to contact them they told me that my warranty was forfeited because of "frame damage". The technician that fixed my phone told me that I had a warranty and he ended up messing up my phone worse than it was before he fixed it. So now I have to pay more money than I would have had he not fixed it because my home button and my screen now don't work. Horrible customer service and troubleshooting. read more

Worst experience ever. Tech showed up and after he struggled to open up my phone, he admitted he had never worked on an IPhone before. Four hours later, my phone was basically destroyed. My camera does not work, I can only use the speaker phone, the screen is damaged, the frame is bent, the screen is not seated properly, my pics are yellow and the home button is wonky. There replacement screen is a cheap knockoff. They will do nothing to make me whole so now I have a brick. Buyer beware. Do not use this company. I was really excited when I found this company. I had shattered my phone and needed it fixed quickly, but couldn't leave work at the time. I scheduled it about 12:30 for a 2pm appointment. Five minutes before the tech was to arrive he calls me and says he's running a few minutes late. I'm thinking ok, maybe 30 minutes, it's Atlanta and Friday traffic. The tech asked if we could reschedule for 6 or 7 pm that night because he was coming from the other side of town. I told him that I would be home by then, so he suggested he come there since it would be closer to him. We scheduled for 7pm. He asked me to text him my address and i explained to him that the phone screen was unusable, so I gave it to him verbally. No show at 7 pm. No call, no nothing. Disappointing. read more

I cracked my iPhone 5 screen a few days ago so badly that half the screen stopped working. I hit up yelp to find a service to quickly repair it. Notes on iCracked 1) When I requested a quote from them I noted my screen was broken, but the representative was texting me to coordinate. I thought that was odd but went with it. 2) I noted on their questionnaire that I had a white iPhone 5, but they originally quoted my $149 (which is their price for an iPhone 5S). I'm not sure if this was just an oversight, but I reminded them of my device. 3) I contacted them around 3 PM on a Friday and the first time they could fit me it was 11:30 AM on Saturday. Not exactly quick turn around as advertised, but not the worst. 4) The tech, John, was pleasant. They do need to come into your home/office to perform the service - so if you're not a fan of strangers coming into your home, maybe book for a neutral location. 5) They take cash/credit - super convenient 6) THIS IS A BIG ONE: After talking with my boyfriend (and seeing his iPhone) I realized that my new replacement screen was actually the "matte" finish - not the shiny glass that typically comes on the phone originally. I wish that I'd been made aware of the difference in screens BEFORE the tech replaced it so that I could make an informed decision. Frankly, the shiny screen looks better and it's disingenuous to say it's an exact replacement (because it isn't), but my phone is functional now so I guess it's fine (not worth spending another $120 to get the right finish at this point). 7) The tech, although nice, tried to up-sell me during the repair. Quite a bad experience.. I scheduled an appointment, had to rearrange work schedule and stay home to ensure I would be here when the tech could make it and then texted to confirm.. I didn't get a call back from the tech until the time he was supposed to be here and he informed me that he couldn't do it until the next day at the earliest.. He was completely unapologetic about the whole thing. I then called Scott and got a return call an hour later.. He proceeds to blame the tech and then offers nothing more than to get me back on the schedule for some other time; totally blase about the whole thing.. It would seem that you would want to make the situation right by coming to fix the ipad as you promised but I guess not. I found another group on the web that will fix it for cheaper (90$ compared to 125$) so wish I did my homework a bit better in the beginning read more

What can I say about this company? I'll start by saying that as a super cautious iPhone carrier, I never thought that merely two weeks after upgrading my phone I would be cursing the one single day that I chose to relax when using it. I was head to toe decked out in US soccer gear at a local Atlanta Soccer Pub when we scored goal one in the first 45 seconds of the World Cup!!!! Chants and cheers and flailing arms were abundant and I was no exception. One of the flailing arms sent my phone diving to the concrete . Veterans DO NOT USE OR SUPPORT THIS COMPANY I called and talked with Pete on a Thursday regarding my ipad1 and a replacement battery. Pete recommended I purchase a used iPad. I called Pete back explaining I had documents on the ipad1 I needed and would like to have the battery replaced. Pete told me he would need to pick the iPad up Friday so he could get it back to me Saturday as he was leaving for vacation. I sent Pete a text varyifying I would like to have the battery changed and if he wanted to pick it up Thursday afternoon. I never heard back from Pete. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL !! I am a disabled veteran in a wheelchair because of a spinal cord injury and I use my iPads daily. When handing over their expensive devices - many of which contain personal and/or financial information, iCracked customers trust that the techs will repair AND return them. That trust is integral to iCracked's success. But iCracked does not deserve that trust. An iCracked technician stole my iPad. No one at iCracked seemed to care. Until iCracked sent me an email one month later asking what I thought of their customer service, no one at iCracked ever contacted me after allegedly "launching an investigation." I encourage anyone considering using this company to LOOK ELSEWHERE. After working with 3 different people, they were all dishonest & extremely unhelpful. I am truly shocked at the bad attitudes and dishonesty from each of them. I simply wanted an iPad & phone fixed but they were not capable of fixing them, & consistently lied, stood us up, lied more, blamed US for our items not being fixed when it was not our fault, argued & yelled at us, and lied some more. Pete was the worst (yelled,lied repeatedly, stood us up), John Smith lied right in front of me to his boss on the phone so he wouldn't get in trouble for not fixing my iPad. Even though we had just discussed it!!! (John came twice & couldn't fix it correctly either time yet still claimed he did) The last guy said he would fix it and apologized for John & Petes horrible treatment but then later changed his mind! Claiming he never agreed to come to me, and that he offered to meet halfway. That I'm too far away. NOT the truth, I even gave him my address so he could get here!! He confirmed he would meet HERE. Not halfway. I never even heard that come from his mouth! He asked me to mail my iPad so he doesn't have to come here, RIDICULOUS. I am frustrated because I simply wanted my items fixed. This service just made me cancel the insurance I had on my iPhone 4S! Before finding out about Icracked when my phone went swimming 3 days ago suffering water damage. A day later they still had phone telling me it had all sorts of problems. I let them know it worked 100% when they took it. After meeting with Spurgeon, my local itech, for a repair of my iPhone screen, I thought I'd scored a deal. My phone appeared to be good as new. Long story short, I can't make a voice call without constantly cheek dialing, and the screen cracked again because it is not flush mounted into the frame. Their response when I tried to use my "lifetime warranty"? My frame was bent, so there were no guarantees. They would attempt to make good by having their itech replace the screen he installed with an original Apple screen he'd taken off someone else's phone, thereby allowing me to take my phone to Apple and pay them 275 for a refurbished phone. So an update is in order as they did contact me, they left a message at work then called back the next day, so I did jump the gun a bit on writing a bad review. I based it though on seeing everyone else's fast response, so after three hours waiting for a reply (and the next day, I was off so I missed the message) I assumed I had gotten overlooked. The guy who called was polite, quoted me $89 to replace the screen, but I had already learned that Apple would replace it with a new unit for $99, so the $10 difference was a better deal for me (the unit was older, scuffed at each corner, and slightly bent). I would guess that not every screen is this high in price and in some cases it's a better deal to just replace it, but in my case it was not the case. So, good service for those in a different situation, it just didn't work for me. read more

A while back, I cracked my iphone 6 plus screen--I was looking for affordable places and got a quote long ago at icracked. I decided to not spend the money at the time (especially since apple is by far the cheapest)...plus, --it was my fault--i can deal with a cracked screen for a short time. Now that I'm ready to get the screen repaired, I signed up to receive a current quote yesterday and never heard anything back. Tried again today and "all technicians were busy" so I called the number to get a quote and set up a time. She then told me she cant find the technicians availability but she would give me his number so I could call him. When I told her that me tracking down the technician takes the ease out of their service (which is why I was willing to pay more than i would if i were to take my phone somewhere), she sat there in silence for a few seconds and then offered to give me his number again.
