Stopped in for a coffee on a weekday morning. Aside for a few people meeting in the front of the shop and the barista I was the only one there! The barista was helpful and kind, and the coffee was delicious. As I was just stopping in by coffee I did not know it had such pottery options--how cool! There are multiple stations set up throughout the shop where you can paint pottery while visiting with friends or sipping on your coffee. A pretty delightful concept! There is just one size of coffee available for iced, and one size for hot drinks. I did think it was a bit expensive for the one drink (6.40 for a hot flavored latte), but it was well made and delicious! You do have to ask the barista for a key to the bathrooms, but the bathrooms were well stocked and especially clean! read more

A good coffee shop for a town with nothing much to go there for. It's located in an art studio and make your own pottery school, so it has an artsy vibe to it. They have lots of interesting stuff to look at while you are in there. It's also nonprofit. That automatically makes it better than any corporate chains and their coffee flavored water. How somewhere like this town can have such a hip place is a mystery. It shares a space with a pottery making school. They also have painting and other things. On the tables are palettes so you can mess around while you sip your coffee. There are also mason jars filled with water. Confusing whether those are for consumption or for rinsing your paint brush. The coffee is pretty good. It's about $3 for a large cup. They have coconut and soy milk to add to it. If you want coffee from a local shop this is a great choice in the area. It's one of the cooler places in Lancaster. There is also free wifi like any good coffee place. read more

I didn't realize this was also a pottery place. I came here on a date just for coffee, not pottery, so I thought this might not have been the best location for a date after the fact. I think it would be more fun to bring kids or a friend. As far as the drinks, I got an iced chai tea latte. All the syrup was at the bottom. Geez sorry my granddaughter was surprised by the fact that the bathroom required a key. And she didn't know that when she remarked that " the bathroom requires a key?" And was told "yes" that she then needed to request that key specifically. Sorry you were so appalled by the way a kid then asked for that key. Actually I'm grateful you finally gave it to her. I guess spending 20 bucks on drinks didn't help you to cut us some slack. read more

Absolutely fantastic coffee shop, with all the bells and whistles of classic good vibes. Walk in, coffee shop on the left side of the long room; pottery DIY shop on the right (see pics!). In the front case, there's several chocolate-covered-goodies! Yes, Kelly makes a point to source everything from Ohio. Coffee and espresso beans are from Stauf's. Chocolates are homemade from a family business in Amish country. I got two buckeyes - they're more on the smaller size - $.85 total. They were pure indulgence. The milk chocolate began to melt in my fingers within 30 seconds. Dreamy! Great PB taste [side note: I dislike ANY establishment that sells buckeye candies that only taste sugar; no REAL creamy peanut butter taste = no business from moi!] I can't comment on the coffee part. However, I love the smell of coffee shops, and this joint's a winner. The arches are such a neat feature (yes, they were there when the owners bought/moved in 7 years ago). It does justice dividing the space. Lots and lots of bright colors! A comfy seating nook up by the front windows - perfect for people watching, wording on your writing or sketching, or meeting an acquaintance to chat and catch up. read more

Coffee is good. The owner was very rude to our kids and out of town guests. They were given chalk to draw outside and we were out with them telling them to move if people needed to go in or out. It was fine. They weren't busy at all. The manager scolded our kids and then muttered to herself as she walked away that sometimes we need to think of others and not just ourselves. It was awful. Our kids were pretty upset when we left because they were having a great time and were very polite. They were not in the way of anyone and I was sitting outside watching them. We spent almost $100 in there on pottery, drinks and shirts. This was last summer (but I just got yelp so thought I'd share our experience). We have only been back once since. Aside from the actual owner, the baristas are nice. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop to go to, there is a family friendly atmosphere with it being attached to the art and clay but also is quiet enough to get work done. The staff is always so friendly, and the coffee reasonably priced. I've seen live music in the evenings a couple of times when I drove by but I haven't been able to go yet... hopefully soon. read more

Square Seven is an adorable coffee shop, sharing space with Art and Clay on Main, a paint your own pottery studio. Delicious coffee and espresso (they serve Stauf's), tea, blended coffee/smoothies, and food. The vibe is artsy and relaxed with comfy mismatched furniture and art everywhere, not to mention people painting pottery. There's even a little area where you can buy local jewelry, tshirts, and art painted by local artists. The coffee shop, pottery painting, and art classes are all part of a nonprofit that raises money for folks with developmental disabilities. I love everything about it! read more

One afternoon I came here to take an online lifeguard certification class and the employee was so nice and came over to check on my group and me. Busy day with a parade, so I decided to go here versus my usual of Four Reasons. Bad choice. 1. Coffee and cafe Mocha was distasteful. 2. Total chaos in ordering, with lines mounting up at all sections of the lengthy bar. 3. Only one person serving, then a second, who seemed to be the manager. 4. Preferential treatment of some patrons while others were put off. 5. No appearance of hurry or concerns, while polite personal conversations happened behind the bar. 6. I thought I might improve the possibility of business success by nicely suggesting they hang a sign for an ordering spot and a "Pay Here" spot... I was rejected flatly with, "it's not needed, you can order anywhere. We will just call out who's next" After watching several people cut the line and others wondering where to go to order, I think it is a sign that this establishment wants to do what they want regardless of what their customers want. I came here to do work for a bit while in town nearby visiting. The coffee shop has free wifi, plenty of open tables and outlets, and the staff is extremely friendly. I can mostly speak to the ambience - which was perfect for what I needed. As far as the coffee, I had a regular drip which was decent. I trust their other coffee selections would also be good. read more
