The childcare hours are extremely limited and it's frequently closed without warning due to "understaffing" or general disorganization. There have been multiple days when parents show up ready to work out, only to find the child watch unexpectedly closed. After making the effort to pack up the kids and travel to the gym, we're forced to turn around and go home. No notice. No accountability. Just wasted time. For the price we're paying, this level of inconsistency is unacceptable. If childcare is advertised as part of the membership, then it should be staffed and dependable--period. Until they fix this, it's just not worth it.

The class was intense between the fast-paced flow of movements & the heat - but I enjoyed it! I liked the combination between strength based positions, balance, & relaxing stretches. The heat was a good temperature - not too hot but also leaving me with a good sweat. They also have a location in Scranton & offer a wide variety of classes including Lyra & aerial yoga. The yoga studio was very clean & had a nice aromatherapy smell to it. My only two complaints about the Abington location was the size of the room (it was a relatively packed class) & there are no lockers to place your belongings in while you're in class. Overall I really enjoyed the class & would return to do the traditional hot yoga or try a Lyra class in the future!

Well, here I am six years later writing yet another review for the gym I came back to. Six years…read moreago, I left for crunch gyms in downtown Scranton. Exceptional facility but I just wasn't a fan of traversing the downtown traffic and parking in a parking garage that got backed up during work hours. I returned to a Planet Fitness with some updated machines, the same layout, and unfortunately the same major issue that made me walk away from it six years ago. Let me be perfectly clear here, I have a gym membership for one reason and that is to go on the treadmill for about an hour to an hour and a half every other day. During that time, I like to put on my iPhone and catch up on streaming shows or movies. Six years later, I am still running into the same instances of Planet Fitness having some of the worst Wi-Fi imaginable. The Wi-Fi simply cannot handle the bandwidth whether it's on a low amount of foot traffic day or when the gym is fairly crowded it's always the same result. Buffering, pixelated images, and videos that simply freeze in the middle of viewing. The Wi-Fi is an advertised offering of the gym, but what's the point of offering this to its paying customers when it's barely functional the way it is. I am less than a month into my new membership and I'm already regretting my decision. I'd rather fight the traffic of downtown Scranton and return to Crunch Fitness than have to deal with an establishment they can't fulfill advertised perks or offerings to its members..............STILL. I am still in disbelief that this is still an issue all these years later.
