Andy Stuka and his staff are outstanding and well worth the investment in your health . I'm a woman in her late 50's who needed guidance getting back into shape after a year off exercise. My body changing, I did not want to waste my time in the gym with no results, nor did I want go back to the gym and get hurt. I did not want just any trainer. I wanted someone who was educated in the science of motion and exercise. Andy has an exceptional education in exercise science and his credentials are outstanding. More impressive is his professional personality and non-intimidating way of coaching you to your best. PSCP provided me with the perfect scenario for success and set foundations for a new healthier lifestyle ! Push past your limits in exchange for incredible energy, balance and flexibility, this is the place to do it.

At our facility you will receive quality personal training on exercise form. General fitness exercises can be executed in a number of ways for the various muscle groups; however, not all ways may be beneficial to you. Improper strength and conditioning personal training can result in muscle imbalances and overuse injuries. The concept of proper exercise selection and form must not be overlooked. Thus, you will learn how to apply these concepts to your everyday life to reduce the likelihood of injury. Whether you are interested in training for a sport, improving health, losing weight, or just trying to fight the negative effects of the aging process, we can design a personal program for you. YOU are our main concern. As part of our training programs, we now offer Boot Camp classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays! Contact Andy today to inquire on scheduling and pricing.

I go to the Scranton center every Wednesday. I take an exercise class and have a delicious lunch…read more I am not of the Jewish faith and still they welcome my friend and I. I always enjoy my afternoons there. I recently read a post where someone was complaining because the center is closed on certain times and dates. Perhaps he should learn a little about the people and their religion before he decides they take off to many days. My thanks to the staff and volunteers.

It also closes early every Friday and sometimes it inexplicably opens late and/or closes early on Sundays. It has a pool, but it is frequently booked for private parties or cannot be used because there's not a same-sex lifeguard on duty. It's also very small and people do not respect the lanes. They recently replaced all the equipment, but the new equipment is already malfunctioning. It's also all made by the same manufacturer, so if you don't like it, you're out of luck. Kids are constantly in the gym, hanging out and monopolizing equipment that they are not actually using. Calling staff enforcement of gym rules lax would actually be generous. The staff is more interested in socializing or exercising than actually doing their job. The locker rooms are often disgusting, with wet floors and clothes strewn about a common occurrence and there is no respect for boundaries or hygiene. Gym goers will sit on locker room benches completely nude, without even a towel, and think little or nothing of it. You pay a lot of money for a gym that can't be used because it's always either closed or just disgusting.

********Core Fitness********…read more Here is another example of a local business with a myopic view of how to treat a customer. I joined Core Fitness in June of 2019 for a one year contract. I was not told that the fine print authorizes an automatic renewal after the contract expires. So when the gym closed due to Covid, my contract was in breach. The gym re-opened when allowed by the state. I never received another automatic debit from my checking account when they opened back up and I never set foot inside the door due to covid related concerns. I received a call today from the gym telling me that my account was delinquent. It took the gym 9-10 months to call me and ask for money. I explained that my membership was expired and that I owed nothing as well as the fact that I hadn't used the gym. I was told that I owed them $285 dollars anyway. I again challenged the validity of the contract. Again I was told that I owe they money. I will tell every person that I can, not to use Core Fitness. Maybe if the gym had acted professionally and called they're customers after they reopened to see if they wanted to renew a membership during a pandemic they would have had a leg to stand on. Long story short....the bill is paid and I will never set foot in that establishment and I hope that others will not as well. Maggie related that she had made many calls today so there must be many people that they're fleecing for money to pay for all of the renovations. It's shameful to abuse the customer!
