But the younger Master Cha have been teaching there for the past 20+ years. My 3 sons have been going to Cha's academy for 10+ years since they were 5-6 years old. all the way to their high school years. The best place to have your children learn a beautiful art and getting trained to be discipline at the same time. Kudos to Master Cha.

Having now visited several other martial arts schools, I can assure you that Cha's is an excellent place for you and your kids to learn a martial art. Here are just a few of the reasons: * Quality - Cha's provides great quality instruction. I have visited some schools where a 3rd or 4th Dan (degree) black belt would not have the skills of most 1st Dan black belts from Cha's. * Schedule - while many schools only offer classes 2 or 3 times a week, Cha's offers classes 6 days a week, and on many of those days it is possible to choose from 2 different class times (or attend both). This gives you flexibility for scheduling conflicts, and allows students interested in advancing quickly an opportunity to take many classes each week. Also, unlike many schools, Cha's offers Family classes where parents and kids can take classes together - which is a great bonding experience and it makes scheduling easier if everyone can go together. * International Recognition - Cha's teaches in accordance with the World TaeKwonDo Federation (WTF), and Cha's black belts come with a certificate from the World TaeKwonDo headquarters from Seoul, Korea. This means your blackbelt is officially recognized by other schools around the globe. As we found out, this is a real value if you need to relocate. Not only were schools that followed WTF willing to recognize our black belts, but even schools that followed different systems of TaeKwonDo were willing to honor our black belts upon seeing our official certificates. * Friendly, Family Oriented Atmosphere -- One of the great things about Cha's TKD is all of the really nice people there. The Chas have established a great school where everyone helps and encourages others. As I mentioned, the Family classes are really great ways to spend time with your kids and also meet other nice families. Also, the Chas do a great job of making learning fun for kids. I could go on. If you are looking for a great martial arts school near the Doylestown area, you should definitely visit Cha's TKD -- you will be glad that you did!

Specifically, in the emergency that befell Flemington in Hurricane Ida. We were en route to a family wedding near Doylestown, PA, and arrived at the US202S-South Main Street intersection the evening of September 1, 2021 as Ida's flash flooding hit Flemington. The rescues reported in the media were extraordinary.  Once they had plucked an endangered soul from the raging intersection, and had "deposited" him or her on high ground (many on the Point Mall knoll at 245 US202S), they returned to the floodwaters to save others. But what became of the numerous soaked, cold people they deposited?  There was immediate need, but no care services (like Red Cross) were available because road access for hand-off care providers was non-existent. We can tell you what DID become of about 30-35 stranded souls from about 7:30 PM to midnight: the JSK Taekwondo studio unhesitatingly stepped up and opened its doors to all comers.  JSK's on-duty staffer was a model practitioner of The Golden Rule.  Not only did he provide a safe, warm place out of the storm for the terrified people on his doorstep, he offered what food and warm clothes he could.  And not incidentally, he also made bathrooms available, not only to the refugees under his roof, but also to those who had driven to high ground in the Mall and parked outside the studio for 4-6 hours.  All of this came at great personal cost ro the staffer, having to re-clean the studio from his dripping and dirty charges, before endeavoring to make the long trip home himself to Basking Ridge.  Given the road closures that night, I suspect that he may have ended up sleeping overnight at the studio. I'm sure that JSK's extraordinary kindness is reflected equally capably in its instruction, and I hope this review encourages many locals to seek out JSK's martial arts instruction.
