La Conner Marina & RV Park

La Conner Marina & RV Park

    (11 reviews)

La Conner Marina is a great place for boaters and visitors…read more The marina features extensive covered moorage on 8 docks, two large guest docks, clean and comfortable restrooms, large laundry facility, two pumpout machines (one on each guest dock) and expensive outdoor/lawn/picnic space. Most of the slips feature finger piers on both sides of the boat, making this a very desirable location for covered moorage. As such, expect a long waitlist that could have you waiting for two or three years. Plenty of parking even when they host large events like the 4th of July celebration. Staff is friendly, courteous and very responsive to inquiries and issues. I haven't reviewed the RV park, as I haven't stayed there, but as a casual observer, the park is clean, reasonably lit without being too bright, close to the restrooms and laundry, and a short walk from town.

I'm updating my previous review of the La Conner Marina (see below) to now include having spent two…read morefun weekends at the adjacent RV Park. The first weekend was last summer, and the second one was this past weekend when we "glamped" there to once again meet up with friends who were docked at the marina for the weekend. The RV park is definitely no frills. The sites are close together, the trees are few and far between, and the sites don't include picnic tables or firepits. But they are all full-hookup, the park is well maintained and quiet, and you can't beat the sweet streets of downtown La Conner being just a quick walk (or even quicker drive) down the street. There's also a bathhouse with toilets and showers, all of which were immaculately clean. (You can get the door code from the campground host at RV Site #1.)

    Twin Bridges Marina

    Twin Bridges Marina

I've had 2 boats there now. Twin Bridges can't be beat in many ways. Great staff, great facility…read more If you value your boat, what could be better than dry heated secure storage. No mildew. No issues. Leave it wide open on your custom indoor perch. No need for bottom paint. No slime or barnacle's. About the same price as any other marina moorage at a dock. And no trailer launching. Not buying a trailer means about $8k in savings for my kind of boat. plus a few thousand for bottom paint, which adds weight. And who likes trailering a boat? Better to use boats on the water. At a moments notice. On a lark, lets take the boat out. And it's in the water ready to go with a phone call. The place is pretty full and they don't advertise. They charge by the cubic inch, since that's how the racking in the building is sold. Lowering your radar can save cubic inches. So the price depends on cubic inches and every bit of room in the shed is important. They need to measure your boat to give you a price. If they can find room. Get in line. I held off on taking ownership of my current boat until we had a spot for it here. Like I said, get in line. Maintenance is usually done on outdoor work stands, which you get to use whenever you want. It's convenient to flush your engines with hoses they provide. You can wash the boat down with Salt away and get it all dialed in and ready for the next outing any time. There's a service department at Tom and Jerrys next door to take care of things as needed. And then there's location. The marina is at the north end of Swinomish channel, which means after launching, you get to put the hammer down as soon as you get past the swing bridge there and run 30 knots out or whatever. You're right on top of some of the best crabbing in the northwest, and whatever else there is to do in the San Juan Islands. You will use your boat more and fuss with it less by mooring at Twin Bridges. I can't imagine a bad review for Twin Bridges from anyone who's actually ever kept a boat there. Your boat's value will be saved by dry heated indoor secure moorage at Twin Bridges.

Just called and even with a very standard size boat they wouldn't give me a ballpark price. I told…read morethem I would bring it in but wanted to see an idea of what the pricing would be. Unless you know the exact length hight and width don't bother calling. I knew within a foot but was not 100%.
