So this is veryyy out of my comfort zone, but I was so happy we came here. My friend wanted to have…read morehis 30th birthday party at this track. I heard racetrack and thought to myself oh gosh is this going to be boring? All we do is watch cars go around and around in circles for hours...? I was wrong, yes we did see cars go around in circles, but the atmosphere was fun and not to mention its BYOB! Tickets were $16.00/adults, a little less for 60+ and children. My husband and I did not eat, but everyone else did. They were raving about the fried oreos. We were really fortunate to come on the night they had the demolition derby. I had never seen one live, it was pretty exciting. Just wish the ring was a little bigger for the cars. The commentators were entertaining as well.

Came here for the Green Flag Experience off a Groupon. While the Speedway is dated, it is still a…read moregreat experience given that there are not many speedways left in the area and especially no other experiences like this. While it is like driving an oversized Go-Cart, there are no speed governor's and you are in control. These TQ Midget Cars can go up to 120 mph. However, for us average drivers, you can get up to speeds of 60-70 mph. You get 5 laps around the 1/3 mile track, with laps averaging 15-30 seconds. For $30 more, you can get 5 more laps. The whole experience lasts 1-2 hours from check in to completion. They provide you with Cotton Socks, a Fire Resistant suit and shoes and Helmet. All you need is your License and CASH if you plan on purchasing a Photo, GoPro video, or additional laps. Otherwise, leave everything else in the car because there are no lock boxes available. No experience is needed. They give you a personal presentation about driving the vehicle and then bring you to the vehicle to learn everything you need to know about it. After this, you are ready to go! Everyone goes separately, however, you will follow an experienced driver in a "pace" car, but this will not limit the experience. Without a Groupon, I do not know if I would pay full price to do this experience. They do offer a Two for One special as well for $220 that includes 10 laps instead of 5, so that may be worth it. It is also worth noting that they only run this Experience during the summer time at 9am and 1030am.

I did this mud run with my girl friends and had a blast finishing it. This was my first mud run and…read moreI thought it was pretty decent but had a few problems as well. The obstacle course was a 5 mile long mud run full of different obstacles like ropes, and tunnels, and mud pits. You run through and work as a team to get through each obstacle. While you run through the race with your gal pals, they had a professional photographer taking photos but you had to try and flag him down to get your photo taken. Some of the obstacles that were supposed to have foam and water weren't working and for the amount that each person paid for the ticket, there shouldn't have been any issues with it. Overall, the experience was good, but not sure if I would do it again.

My girlfriends and I did the 2015 Mudderella mud run. Overall it was ok. We had a good time but…read morethere were some definite drawbacks. What is it? Mudderella is a women only a 5+ mile obstacle run featuring around 15 obstacles (at the time of our run) Pros: There were a lot of obstacles and variety amongst them. You will be climbing walls, crawling through mud, running up mud hills and sliding into mud water. There are professional photographers onsite to take shots of you in action. The photos are free and usually available within a few days. Lastly, there is an after party with music, giveaways and one free beer included with you ticket purchase. Cons: The $100+ ticket price is ridiculous even with a free t-shirt, medal and beer. There are too many people and not enough photographers so if you want a good photo you better try to get the photographers attention. One of the foam obstacles I believe it was called the car wash-did not even foam because they ran out of water. The rinsing stations were overly crowded and they also ran out of water. Luckily we brought gallons of water with us to rinse our bodies off. Would I do it again? Yes, but I would purchase discounted tix, book an earlier wave to make sure they don't run out of water and pay for a spectator pass to have someone take photos.
