While the Speedway is dated, it is still a…read moregreat experience given that there are not many speedways left in the area and especially no other experiences like this. While it is like driving an oversized Go-Cart, there are no speed governor's and you are in control. These TQ Midget Cars can go up to 120 mph. However, for us average drivers, you can get up to speeds of 60-70 mph. You get 5 laps around the 1/3 mile track, with laps averaging 15-30 seconds. For $30 more, you can get 5 more laps. The whole experience lasts 1-2 hours from check in to completion. They provide you with Cotton Socks, a Fire Resistant suit and shoes and Helmet. All you need is your License and CASH if you plan on purchasing a Photo, GoPro video, or additional laps. Otherwise, leave everything else in the car because there are no lock boxes available. No experience is needed. They give you a personal presentation about driving the vehicle and then bring you to the vehicle to learn everything you need to know about it. After this, you are ready to go! Everyone goes separately, however, you will follow an experienced driver in a "pace" car, but this will not limit the experience. Without a Groupon, I do not know if I would pay full price to do this experience. They do offer a Two for One special as well for $220 that includes 10 laps instead of 5, so that may be worth it. It is also worth noting that they only run this Experience during the summer time at 9am and 1030am.

Funny end to Rider's 1 point win - seated behind some visitor's parents, we got 'shushed' while screaming when the visitors were shooting critical free throws. Bush league!

That also included a donut and apple cider after the maze. It was very well organized and they had people directing traffic to park. They had a trailer to buy tickets or present your Groupon, 2 separate lines so it went very quickly. We were given bracelets and were directed to the maze. Before going I read it normally takes about an hour and a half to complete the maze. It was a cool night and many people were arriving to enjoy the maze. We walked around and around for quite a while which is the whole idea. There were some muddy patches since it rained a little in the morning so after I slid in the mud one time I was more careful about where I was stepping. I felt like we were walking in circles and there are no clues or hints to direct you and unfortunately some people pulled down the tapes that mark off the paths so that made it more confusing. After about an hour and a half I was ready to get out of there. Unfortunately we never found the exit but instead made our way back to the entrance. We collected our donuts and cider and called it a night... Not a bad evening and a nice change from the dinner and a movie routine. I just think I'm better suited for the day time maze next time. Staff was very nice and friendly definitely recommend.

It's a nice area for kids. Many animals to feed. They have goats, pigs, cows, and horses that you can feed. The only thing is the animal feed is $9 and you can a ball of lettuce. I did not bother buying the feed and ended up picking up some leftover lettuce leaves on the floor for the cows to eat. Unfortunately one of the cows bit my fingernail. Thankfully nothing was scarred. But it was painful. I did not realize they have those feeding sticks to use so you won't get bitten. Anyways, this place is very clean and comes with a working handwashing station with lots of water and soap for you to wash hands. They also have hand sanitizer all around the area. They highlight cleanliness really well in this park. There is a corn box truck that is really fun and my daughter loved it a lot. She was very busy in the corn box filled with corn kernels and trucks and buckets everywhere for kids to enjoy. Many kids were inside the corn box, which did not become an issue though. There was enough space for every kid to enjoy. Food was pretty good. I got hot dogs for $4 each, fries for $5, and a corn for $5. They gave a lot of fries and the corn was buttered. There was a lot of condiments they had out for to get. There are hay rides and pumpkins you can get. The only thing is the hay rides have time slots so you got to make sure you get there on time. Overall, it's a nice experience for kids to have fun. Pretty spacious and lots of different activities to try. There is this slide with a lot of rollers going down instead of your traditional steel slide and it hurt my butt like crazy. Just went down the slide only once. There is also pop and dance music to make the park more lively playing in the background. The bathrooms are porta potties and they're all situated in the back of the park. The bathrooms are outdoors but clean. I had 2 issues.... The first that they need to tell the schools to have parents sends kids with cash to feed the animals and for snacks. No one knew and many of us did not bring cash. The second was the puppet show they had was a lot of fun. However, there is a part of the show where the cow sprays milk at people. We thought it was fake milk and possibly water...until my son broke out in hives. He's allergic to dairy and that's when we found out it was skim milk. It would be smarter and safer to use water instead of actual milk. Dairy allergy is very common and everyone reacts differently. My son happens to be one that reacts severely.

It's an event that started on Wednesday and finishes up on Sunday. There are many rides lots of food and a lot of fun to be had. Entertainment was provided by various bands and local gymnasts. There's plenty of police presence due to the large crowds. There are plenty of Porta Johns and this is the largest I have seen this festival since I last attended 15-20 years ago. Prices from the vendors are a tad high due to the fact that their income is very variable. I had a sausage sandwich with peppers and onions which set me back $8. Water at most stands were $1. Sandwich was tasty after putting on some "heat". Afterwards I indulged in a kiddie ice cream cone $4, much needed to cool me off. What I did not see at this festival was a hands-on section for all. Tickets for the rides were $25 for 24 tix or $50 for 54 tix. The average ride was 3 to 4 tickets. There was plenty of parking though you were urged to donate $1 to the police explorers ( who are they?) The only major problem at this festival were the exits. There were no signs saying how to exit the site, so that took a some time to explore. Maybe that $1 donation will ease the problem next summer. 3 & one half stars.
