After living here for a year, I renewed my lease. Overall, this complex is great. The only problem I had was with the electronic locks on the building that has direct sunlight in the summer. Electronic locks had a tendency to fail with no other way to enter your unit. This was corrected by management and I have to say this moves the review for this complex to five stars. read more

This complex itself is AWESOME! I love the amenities, especially the dog park and pools. The workout areas are great too with a spinning room and weight room. Now the reason for 2 stars, I came home on a Sunday evening and was unable to enter my unit!! These units have "smart locks" that are managed by "active building" app! The bottom row ow this lock would not accept the code so supposedly the active building people can reset the the code remotely. I say supposedly because it didn't work and their solution was to contact emergency maintenance for the property! Once we did this in 101 degree temperature we we informed by them to contact active building!! when we told them we had done that and there was nothing the active building could do and they told us to call them. They said well there's nothing they can do until the office opens in the morning when I question what was I supposed to do? Their answer was maybe get a locksmith. This is not my property I do not have authorization to have someone come take the locks off these doors. The emergency maintenance said maybe call the police or the fire department. I called the police and they said they cannot handle these type things and they were sending the fire department over. The fire department let me know that they have been sued in the past for opening up residential units and destroying the lock so they can no longer do this. At this .3 hours have now passed. My dog is locked inside the unit and we are stuck outside in the heat at the last minute. My brother came up with the idea of perhaps the fire department could use their fire ladders to climb to our balcony, since we left our balcony door open that day and enter it that way, the fire department graciously agreed to try since we were on the third floor and put a ladder up to our balcony climbed over the railing when our door came down and unlock this piece of crap lock. Not having any way to get into your unit with a key and depending on electronic locks, they can go out at any time with no emergency maintenance person with a key to unlock. It is absolutely outrageous. I'm glad that my dog was OK and that we were OK in the end but that's the reason for the two stars. what if we had small children and we had gone outside and gotten locked out like this. This is unsafe and unacceptable. Update: After going through all this once I was finally in my unit I started experiencing confusion and small seizures (which has never happened before) and my family had to call 911. I was completely blacked out and unable to talk or walk. Turns out i had severe heat exhaustion and spent 6 hrs in ER getting rehydrated and stabilized. The heat here is record temps right now which makes this situation even more dangerous! This morning the maintenance man came and repaired the lock but I have to say my trust and confidence in this property is severely compromised. read more

I'm writing to express my deep frustration and concern regarding a $605 charge that I was never made aware of until two years after moving out of The Spur Apartments. I lived at the property for approximately 6-7 months before relocating early due to a job transfer. At the time of my move-out, I followed every instruction provided to me. I was given a checklist and informed that, as part of breaking the lease early, I would need to pay an additional month's rent upfront. I paid everything I was asked to pay, in full, and left with the understanding that my account was settled. Fast forward two years: I'm applying for a new apartment, only to be told that I have a $605 debt from The Spur Apartments that must be paid before I'm allowed to move in. This was the first time I'd ever heard of it. I immediately called your office to understand what this was about, and I was told I was "$605 short." When I asked for any sort of documentation--an email, a phone call record, a mailed notice--I was told that nothing had ever been sent and that someone simply "forgot." That is absolutely unacceptable. You had my forwarding address. You had my phone number. You had my email. There were multiple ways to notify me of this charge--if it was even legitimate--and your team failed to do so. Now, two years later, I'm being blindsided by a charge I was never informed of, and it's directly impacting my ability to secure housing. At move-out, I paid the exact amount your office requested and had a security deposit on file. So not only am I demanding an explanation of where this $605 charge came from, I am also demanding an answer as to why your team failed to communicate this to me when it mattered. A mistake like this is more than just an inconvenience--it creates unnecessary financial stress and can damage someone's rental history. Dont expect to have the hot tub/pool area useful, ever. The hot tub is always broken. And they leave it that way for weeks or months with no intention of having it fixed. It works maybe 10% of the year. Also they allow card and motorcycles to take up parking spaces and not move for years. Its ridiculous. We are limited on spots so why not tow away? read more

My boyfriend and I have been renting at Spur since June of 2023. We recently renewed for another year because we love it so much. We've never really encountered any problems here. The maintenance crew are always friendly, and always seen working. Absolutely love all the leasing managers! Especially Jay! He's been awesome, so helpful and always quick to respond. When I first moved to the Vegas area from KC, I was so glad to have found SPUR Apartments! Brand new, right off the freeway, what's not to like. But oh, what a difference a little time can make! I lived there nearly 3 years in a first floor apartment near the front. I was NEVER late with my rent. When my son returned home after serving 6 years in the Army, he moved in with me. And when he accidentally broke a large mirror in his bathroom, I immediately notified the management office and i paid for them to replace it. Not a problem...we broke it so we should pay for it. After we I had been there for about 2 years, I started seeing rat poop in the small storage area on the porch. Lots of rat poop! I reported this to the management office and they said they would look into it. They did not. A couple of months later, my son, who never really got over the things he saw in Afghanistan, passed away in the apartment. I found him lying on the floor of his bedroom. My heart was broken. I notified the management office of what happened and to please take my son off of the Lease. I told them I couldn't live there after what had happened but that i would honor the last few months of my lease. As the end of my lease grew near, I bought a house in Vegas. As I had no idea when, exactly, i would be able to close on the house. So I notified the management office, giving them the 1 month notice they requested AND it was at the end of my Lease period. This is when they (SPUR) got really nasty. After everything, they said they now required a 2 month notice before moving out, even if you satisfied the length of time of your lease! I reminded them of the time, months before when my son passed away in my apartment, when i told them I was going to leave at the end of my lease. They said that I had expressed that to a manager (Ricky) who was no longer there. So that didn't count and I owed them for another month. THIS is how they treat a good tenant who had always paid on time!?! I simply wanted to move on a not be reminded daily that I had lost a son. SPUR simply wants to get paid for time after I moved out. And before you ask.....NO, they also did not return my security deposit. Update: Per their request, I called SPUR and spoke with the current Manager. She said she was unable to give me specific information as she was unable to access her computer. She said she would look into it and call me the next day. It's been a week.... I was on my way to a tour that I set up for a different apartment, and I decided to stop into Spur because I had extra time and was curious about the complex (no appointment, just walked in) I was greeted by Sha and explained to her that I didn't have an appointment, but I was very interested in taking a tour. Without hesitation she got the information that was needed from me and took me on a whole tour of the complex + a 1 bedroom! Her humor and kindness made the tour even more enjoyable - I already felt right at home. 1 month later, I was all moved in :) Sha helped me out so much throughout the application process and made sure I was good to go every step of the way. We have lived here for a while and we love it so much we are re-signing our lease for another year. My favourite part of living here is the 24 hour gym and fitness center with a huge 80 inch + screen and interactive programs. (You can also bring in dvds to watch as well) I work out daily and it is so much easier having it so close and not having to pay . I also like being near both the 215 and the 95. The apartment itself is nice. Large rooms (we have a California King bed and it fits perfect). The bathtub is great. I like leaning back and resting my head and the shower has a large head (not the normal size) . Walk in Closet a plus and in master bath an extra closet. The ceiling fans in every room would be great if my roommate and son would not have them on 24/7. And the free tv on the wall was easy to because we did not have to put one up yourself. I have never had an issue here (besides the funky smell once in a while from the landscaping company next door). Kitchen has up to date appliances. I have a view of the valley and if I want to go outside and smoke, I love looking at the twinkle lights of Las Vegas .. BUT my most favourite part is the FREE Starbucks coffee and hot cocoa all day or cold tea. The area has a nice selection of caffeine free tea and a comfy couch to relax or go kn the computer at the computer station. We had a bbq this summer and it was cool to have a bbq and the cabana had a TV with cable and radio to entertain the little ones. The latino is large worh a storage closet. The office staff has always been polite and gave us free cookie tins at Christmas/Yule and we had a great ugly sweater contest with a wrapping station. Maintenance crew is great and friendly as well . The only downer I can see living here is the other residents have a problem picking up there doggie poo , (which is being taken care of in 2020 , i was told they are going to use DNA with the dogs) And pool is heated , but I am a wuss and need it to be like 120 ° to go in it. Do not listen to the other complaints on Yelp. Yes there are residents who smoke pot (it is legal and every place you go, you will smell it ). The parking can be tricky, but I have never had a problem with finding a spot. My husband and I have lived here for 8 months. When we first moved in our fridge didn't work, therefore they gave us a different one. The one they replaced it with was so disgusting and smelled rotten. We told the management about it and we had to wait for the new one to come in for like a week. Everything was good after that. Then our AC was not going below 80 after running all night. We reported it to the office on 08/23/2023 and they gave us a filter to change. We changed it, but still wasn't working. We told them the same day it wasn't working still. They sent out a handyman to fix it he looked at it said it was ok. The AC was still not working. It was running all night to only get to 80. The man in the office was extremely disrespectful to my husband saying well 80 is better than 100. Also, him saying that all the units AC is like this due to the humidity. While he's sitting in an office that has a thermostat that says 70! We asks our neighbors and no one's AC is acting like ours. On 08/27/2023 they send us a portable AC unit. Mind you the AC is running all night and now we have a portable AC and fans running constantly. My husband talks to the manager and she showed no sympathy at all, didn't care about what he was saying. We have screenshots of the Thermostat of every single day. One day it got to 90 as it shows in my screen shot. No one ever followed up with us, we had to do all the calling and following up. Be mindful when looking into this place. read more

But, I will just say this...if you value your mail/packages, do not live here. I have never seen a place that is so messed up with their mail. I started my apartment search last year. I DID NOT want to be in Nevada. Well California made it clear I needed to leave. I dreaded the thought that I'd have to move to Nevada. So my search began.. I visited Las Vegas and drove past several apartment communities. I passed on almost all of them. I went back home discouraged. I went back to Vegas to look again and I found one community I liked a lot but Spur was across the street. I drove over to spur then I went online. I immediately sent an email. Bria answered every one of my million questions and she did it with such pleasure even when I KNEW I was being annoying. 10/10 would not recommend this place as somewhere to live. I've been here 3+ years and it has steadily gone downhill since the original manager left. With the exception of Gloria, who is the only original employee left here, the staff is less than helpful. Also, the parking situation is absolutely horrendous, management does absolutely nothing about non-permitted vehicles parking in spots that require parking passes. More often than not, I have to park on the complete opposite side of the property and walk 5-10 minutes to my home. I understand this is multi family and parking isn't ideal, however it's quite frustrating when half of the "resident" parking spots are taken up by vehicle that don't even display a parking permit. I would recommend spending your hard earned dollars elsewhere. read more

She talks so quiet i couldn't hear her when taking the walk to the unit. The apartment unit itself isn't bad, it's very modern. But the tour guide ruined the experience. We asked to see the pool and she showed it to us through a gate. Didn't even unlock the gate. Led us to the parking lot after and said "nice to meet u. have a nice day." Didn't even bother to go over numbers inside. How do you expect future customers to return if this is our first impression? We left with questions unanswered. We are probably not the only family under this impression. Not going to bother looking into having SPUR as our future residence. If you're going to tour SPUR do not have Maryanne as your tour guide. read more

Sat at the bar in the restaurant Spur. Food was amazing. We had the beet salad, ahi tacos, mushroom truffled toast with poached egg and buffalo short rib. Matt our bartender was great with recommendations. He showed genuine intrest in our story, and was super hospitable. He also had good knowledge not only of the restaurant and hotel, but the area and history of Jackson Hole. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal after the slopes! read more

I go pay rent they don't take card the girl tells me they take check so I go get a check and when I go back to office it's a new girl and that girl tells me they don't take checks only take money orders so I had leave again and get a money order !! Spur was a difficult place to live so happy to leave there. First of all- parking is the worst thing ever. Have fun walking a mile to your apartment you pay 1300 a month for. The amount of dog poop all over is disgusting and smells. The pool was closed most of summer, but when it was open you can be sure the hot tub was broken. Don't know what we all pay for? If I could I would rate 0. Please do NOT live here if you have roommates. They only give out one mail room and one parking permit. They expect you to park in the no parking permit spots but these spots very unproportional to the amount of cars in the area. Everyone keeps getting towed because of no parking permits but if you get home late at night there are no open "no parking permit" spots. This place seems really nice but the bathroom gets gross easily. It seems like all the appliances are really nice but you can tell they're definitely cheap. And beware of living on the first floor, everyone loves to stomp on the second floor and these walls are so thin I heard my neighbor yawn. It's definitely really freaky. read more

I wanted to update my review on #SPUR after finishing my 15 month lease and moving out, after spending 15 months there I feel like this review will be much more thorough. Overall, I would *not* recommend living at #SPUR the way that things are going there currently. There are much nicer communities in the immediate vicinity which cost hundreds less monthly. HOWEVER - if #SPUR made some changes, I would recommend it to people who were renting apartments bigger than a 1 bedroom with roommates (the 1 bedroom with a pet costs almost the same as a two bedroom). I don't think it's a total lost cause of a complex, it's just got a lot of minor things going wrong that all add up to be a giant headache. If these were improved upon, it would be a great place to live. PROS: 1. Facilities in general. Awesome pool and hot tub area, decent fitness area. If you like to lay in the pool/sun on a hot summer day, you'll love the pool area. 2. Office Hours. 7 days a week with the office open fairly late. That's pretty great. 3. Aesthetically pleasing. Modern design in apartments with nice appliances and fixtures, awesome waterfall/rain type shower heads and giant bathtubs. 4. Ricky, the office manager. He is wonderful. He is very kind and remembers everyone's names. He truly does whatever he can do to make sure the residents are happy (unfortunately not everything is within his scope, but that's not his fault - he really does try). 5. Parcel Pending Service. Having parcel lockers and getting text messages when you have a package is super convenient, I think I'll miss this service the most of anything having moved out of the complex. CONS: 1. Paper thin walls. You can hear literally every sound from every apartment that is connected to yours. You can hear your neighbors conversations (in detail), you can hear them singing, you can hear them snoring, you can hear their Bluetooth speakers turning on and off, and you can hear them vacuuming. 2. Dirty community. This isn't the property management's fault, but residents who don't pick up their cigarette butts or dog poop. There were several times where dog poop was on the sidewalks between apartments and left there for days. 3. Cockroaches. Most are harmless sewer roaches coming up the drains, however as time went on and the community was no longer brand new the cockroaches at the dumpster area soon began to attempt to enter my house. 4. Security. Cars broken into very regularly. Happened to myself, and the person who broke into my car physically broke my hatch door which was expensive to fix. 5. Office Staff (other than Ricky). Unpleasant to deal with any of the other office staff. 6. Maintenance. The original maintenance supervisor was great, but at some point he was replaced with someone else who actually cussed me out on two occasions for driving too fast in the parking area, when I was going however fast my car goes without me stepping on the gas or brake (maybe 15 mph?). I would NOT let him into my house for any reason after being cussed out, so luckily I never needed maintenance after the switch happened. 7. Parking. It's absolutely out of control. No assigned parking spots for apartments, but 1 parking permit per unit to park under covered parking. However, there's not enough parking - so usually you don't even get a spot anyway, and frequently have to walk the nearly 1/2 mile to the other side of the complex to get to your apartment. No plans to change parking any time soon (trust me, I've asked - so has everyone else). 8. Price. The price is absolutely insane for the amount of inconveniences the rest of this cons list makes you have to deal with on a regular basis. read more

Unfortunately, I thought I would have something good to say about this property but this complex has truly let me down. I am a current resident going on my third year and it's definitely the people they choose to hire that has caused this place to go down in shambles. My car has been stolen from this property and when I went to the leasing office for some assistance as far as footage. The unsympathetic leasing agent informed me the cameras aren't working, to my knowledge, for how long, I have no idea. She proceeded to ask me if I knew the details of my own vehicle so they can keep an "eye out" whatever that means! As if I just didn't inform her " my vehicle" was stolen. Do not live here! My upstairs neighbors' weed smoke fills our apartment through the vents, their baby cries all hours of the night, they have even puked off their balcony onto my patio. The management sends out an email every time I make a complaint but won't do anything else. I've requested to switch to a different unit and they said I must sign a new 12 month lease and pay increased rent if I do so. My car was also vandalized on the property (which has no video surveillance or security). Kids are constantly running around screaming, there is trash everywhere, and half the amenities I moved in for have been cancelled or removed. I will be leaving once my current lease is up and would not recommend this property to anyone. read more

Overall the upkeep of the entire complex was very good, the one minor maintenance issue we had was dealt with promptly. We just renewed our lease here at the Spur! Love it here. The staff is amazing and super accommodating. Ricky in the office has gone above and beyond for us since the moment we moved in! Maintenance is a phone call away and fix everything that they CAN. Other one star reviews are about issues that are out of the hands of the leasing office that happens in life. Noisy neighbors? Crime? Crying babies? Kids? Sorry, maybe you should look into buying a home where that is in your own control. The pool is amazing, with grills and fire pits. Loved living here (in the beginning), rooms are nice but realized that the walls are paper thin to the point where i can hear a neighbor above me SNORING & phone ringing and their conversations. I've lived in apartments my whole life and this has never been an issue for me and I'm shocked to this. Considering this is a brand NEW complex. I called the front office and they told me they couldn't do anything about it than tell my neighbor to quiet down?? They're speaking at normal voice tones, they are not LOUD. Their setup sucks. If i had known this the slightest bit I would not have moved here. My comfort and privacy are most important to me. I wish they could just cover my lease break and let me move out because I have sleep issues as is and this is not cutting it for me. Heads up to anyone's moving here about the noise. read more
