This dry cleaner ruined a very expensive pair of pants and didn't have the devoto let me know, they charged me. And when I opened it at home I saw it. I took it back and they could not fix it. We have been taking our clothing to Spruce Cleaners for alterations, dry cleaning, and in a very recent case, I washed a coat in the washing machine, and ended up tearing all the lining inside the coat. What I thought would be unsalvageable, was brought back to life and looks exactly as if I had just purchased the coat. I scheduled an introductory apt cleaning from Spruce offered w a $45 creditand they 1) pre charged the full amount without the credit 2) notified by message about error with all my contact info included and Ben responded by asking for all my contact info so he could research 3) had to schedule a 4hour window for them to show up. After waiting from 1 -5pm, I cleaned the apt myself. At 6:30 two non English speaking aliens showed up without explanation or apology. one cannot call Spruce, only message thru their app. When I complained they offered to come back the next day. First off, staff is very friendly, speak both English and Spanish. On top of that prices are fairly competitive. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good cleaners to come back to. For alterations: unfortunately I have to bring my rating down. After being a loyal customer for two years and having brought many items in for a small fix, I feel super ripped off as of late. In my last experience today, I was charged $8 for something so TINY and EASY, it was done in less than 10 seconds with the machine right in front of my eyes. No exaggeration, less than 10 seconds. I was absolutely shocked when she told me "ok that will be $8"....$8 for the easiest quickest thing I have ever had fixed! At other places, I've been charged a a very fair $8-$10 for an ENTIRE hem alteration, meanwhile here I was charged $8 for the tiniest thing that was fixed in less than 10 seconds! I was really expecting it to be no more than $2-$3. Before that, I had another experience where I brought something with the original price tags in for a quick fix, and specified many many many times for them to please not remove the price tag. They happily assured me they would not remove it. Well when I picked the item up a few days later, the price tag was gone! They just gave me the "oh well" face and still charged me the same. (I know the price tag seems like no big deal, but I bring my business items here and the price tag needs to remain on the item. That removed price tag was a big issue for my business and ended up losing me nearly $100). After having been a loyal customer, I'll now be looking for a new place with fair prices and that owns up to their mistakes! read more

SUPER expensive to dry clean my wedding dress, if I wanted it rushed it was a charge, the size was an extra charge, it seemed as if most of what I needed was an extra charge. However, they were very kind and told me everything up front. I did not leave my wedding dress there but did take it somewhere where it was cheaper. read more

Too bad there is not such an option of no star! I booked and paid $310 for a move-out cleaning service, and the cleaner didn't do anything at all. Property manager did an inspection of my apartment before and after the cleaning and she couldn't see any differences. Spruce refunded me $250 for the cleaning fee apartment charged me and kept the $60. What a business model, like I ordered an I-phone but received a knockoff, received the refund for price difference between an I-phone and a knockoff, but was forced to pay for the knockoff. read more

Sent my white coat for cleaning, was given back to me with a bigger pen stain than it had before....and she insisted on charging me for it!
