I've been a customer of this place for over 15 years, and I'm done. In the last months, the clothes were not ready on the day promised on the ticket, the parking is a mess, and today, they damaged my $200 guayabera and ironed it like a piece of wood, and I have to pay $8.25 for it! I've been to this cleaners a few times to get dresses dry cleaned between events. They are always very friendly and it's easy to communicate with them. They offer to have the dresses ready very quickly. I like that they have long enough hours on the weekdays that I can get here before or after work as well as Saturday hours. They did a good job getting rid of a stain I had on a dress for over a year. They accept credit card too. It costs between 12-14 dollars to dry clean my dresses. I would love to see coupons for this place as that's something I'm used to seeing in other cities but haven't seen any for here or neighboring places. read more

Ever since the original owner sold the business, customer service and customer care hasn't been the same. Dry cleaning and alterations are not completed on a timely manner. The previous owner left a great customer base. Now it's under new ownership and even higher prices. They don't have a seamstress in the mornings, only in the afternoons. So disappointing. read more

Dry cleaning was something I always assumed "grownups" understood how to get done; like somehow I'd innately know the prices I should pay to get a pair of pants or a blouse cleaned. Well I've been an "adult" for more than half a decade... and I'm still clueless. Luckily, I found El Cleaners. It was a long road getting here and it wasn't easy. I got ripped off more times than I can count and for awhile, stopped buying clothes I couldn't clean myself altogether! Then when I decided that was no way to live, I got ripped off a few more time before finding this hidden gem along Coral Way. If you're not looking for it (or a pastry at the bakery next door), you'll miss this place. But if you live in the area, I'd look out for it if I were you. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and I don't THINK I'm getting ripped off -- a nice change of pace from the other dry cleaners in this part of town! read more

Been coming here for years. Alterations are on point. Turnaround is superb if you need something quick. Luckily I am usually flexible whenever I bring anything in but there have been times I needed specific pieces for special occasions and they always deliver on their promises! Staff is very friendly, location is convenient right off of Coral Way and they always do a great job. Have recommended friends, family, colleagues and neighbors and they have all had great experiences. It's not easy to find cleaners in the downtown Gables area that aren't either totally sketchy or offensively expensive. This one nails the sweet spot. El Cleaners (this is a great name, I mean, seriously) does good work relatively promptly, can accomodate special requests, and has friendly staff. I dropped off a dress for an event I had. It was supposed to be ready in 6 days and it was not ready in time, I had to wear something else to my event. I still wasn't upset at this point, things happen. Then I dropped off two shirts and two skirts that needed basic dry cleaning and simple alterations. AGAIN with the timing, clothing was not ready on time. Finally when I go pick up my garments, I see that one of the shirts I dropped off STILL has a giant white stain on it. And when I mention it they just reply "they tried really hard but couldn't get it off" If you couldn't remove the stain WHY was I charged? See my problem is having to pay for services I did not receive and due to this fact and my clothing NEVER being ready at the PROMISED time is the reason why I will never come back here. I moved recently into this area and I needed to dry clean a long dress which had been dirty for 3 years. I dropped it off on a Thursday and picked it up on Monday (two weeks prior thanksgiving). My dress what spotless and nicely ironed. They were very nice and efficient, answered every question I had and gave me that Latin family type of vibe. Try them! You won't regret it. read more

First of all, everyone who works here is very nice. Secondly, they do a good job on our laundry and dry cleaning. But I was blown away by their alterations. I bought an expensive gown and it was too big, too long, shoulders needed taking in too. Basically resizing the whole dress. They did an incredible job for a reasonable price AND I dropped it off 12/11 asking if it's possible to get back by the 22nd as I had a wedding.
