I currently have a four year old son who has been attending Zadie's since he was just shy of two…read more Our experience has been fantastic - especially considering such extraordinary circumstances as a school wide flood and the pandemic. The administrators and teachers have always gone above and beyond to be transparent and problem solve. Most importantly, the kids have never felt the impact and receive outstanding academic enrichment. Specific to Covid, all I can say is that they are doing the absolute best they can and we appreciate it. They have managed multiple Covid cases with the strict guidance of the health department and brought parents along every step of the way. Personal opinions on vaccination aside, I've been impressed by their swift actions based on science and truly believe they are looking out for my son as if he was one their own. Zadie's is an awesome familial community - especially for families new to the area. I highly recommend.

We have been sending our 3.5 year old to Zadie's since moving back to Summit in Feb 2020. We had…read moremoved out of Hoboken where we were not happy with our former daycare experience - sending our son to Zadie's has been the polar opposite experience. It's clear that the teachers and staff truly care about the children - they remember things about our son from his preferences to details as minor as his favorite color. He always arrives at Zadie's happy and eager to spend the day with his teachers & friends. As it relates to COVID, Zadie's has done an excellent job of keeping parents informed, and mediating any situations that need attention. It goes without saying that managing a childcare facility during a global pandemic is nothing short of challenging, and Zadie's has done a fantastic job keeping up with the ever-changing climate as it relates to COVID and keeping our children safe. We couldn't be happier that we chose Zadie's for our family!

I have twins who attend the pre-k program at Cornerstone school. They are full day students…read more Their pre-k program has both a structured component where the students work on themed projects as well as an opportunity for self directed learning where they can choose to spend time in any area of the classroom. There is a large playground where the kids get to run and play in the morning and the afternoon. During inclement weather they play downstairs in a large room - often playing games like freeze tag or duck, duck goose, or using hula hoops. Their teacher emails us a weekly newsletter to let us know what they're working on in the classroom as well as including names of books they will be reading, words to songs they are learning. The environment is very personable. The teachers and the director of the school really take the time to get to know each of their students. I know my children are learning and being very well cared for while at school all day. They have an excellent after care program in which all of the kids who stay go to the large art room. Some of the activities that the kids are involved in are: finger painting, playdo, using the large hollow blocks, book reading and music - we have teachers who play both the piano and guitar. My children are never quite ready to leave school when I come to pick them up.

Pros: Teachers are great. Great field trips. Hours are convenient (max 8am-5:30pm). Great active…read moreparents willing to help and pitch in at the school. Cons: Front door could use security (a buzzer to be let in) or a receptionist staffed in the front full time to greet visitors and answer phones (calls aren't always answered), inflexible with schedule changes, inflexible with billing changes, last minute change in calendar where all kids have to be dismissed by 1pm for teacher training but only 1 week's notice given to parents (not good for the working parents who are left scrambling for alternate care). Unapproachable director. New update: I hear the director has left! Wonderful news for the school. Unfortunate for the new school she is running. I changed the stars from 2 to 4.

I've been a member of this Y for over a year. A lot of the issues reviewers mention about…read moreconstruction are over. The main exercise area is newly renovated and has an EGYM circuit which is like regular machines except it knows where you are in training and sets the weights automatically. Best I've seen anywhere. Conventional machines available too. Lots of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowers. With som flexibility there is no waiting off peak and even at peak wait is not a problem. Free weights are in a separate area as is a smaller area for TRX and stretching. I haven't used the pools, classes or courts but are all first rate. Parking, especially close to the door is limited, but hey you're going to the GYM. Haven't had much to do with the staff. No complaints. No towel service anymore. Locker room is ok and has a sauna. There is a physical therapy practice located within the Y too. Overall highly recommend.

For an organization that "prides" itself on following rules, and sends a NO PHONE USE campaign,…read moretheir own trainers cannot follow rules. Then said trainers "reprimand" members on following the rules. IE, Trainer Andrew Paulus uses his cell phone often to video tape himself doing Olympic lifts in the weight room. But then Andrew will get frustrated with teens who don't put weights back after their workout. Andrew, we are all frustrated with you breaking the rules while you yourself get frustrated over members breaking the rules themselves.
