I'm pretty sure the tech's name was Tommy and he was extremely helpful and friendly. He also took the time to explain the issue and what he did to fix it.

Ends up they come out again for no charge. A different tech came and told me that wire did need to be connected and when he did all was well. He told me the connection was very loose so he had to recrimp wire to make tight then left saying sorry this happened. As I said b4 when I connected wire it was very tight fitting. I believe 1st tech left wire barely connected so eventually it would come loose as it did Problem is if I did not catch this problem I could of been charged for a communication circuit board which would have been very expensive. The first tech knew that the wire had to be very tight to work properly and did not do so. So an unsuspecting customer could potentially have had to pay an expensive repair charge. Beware

The next week we had a heat spell and my heat pump could not keep up with the outdoor temperatures. I also had their sales person visit for a bid on a new high efficiency heat-pump. He explained that my problem was that old heat-pumps lose efficiency over time. I had a second HVAC business owner visit for a second bid on a new system. He determined my refrigerant leaked and I was 6 pounds low. I realized I had a contract and they already had my money, but I hoped they would accept responsibility for their mistakes and graciously return me. The dispatcher seemed contrite and empathetic, but she told me it was not their policy to provide refunds. Still she asked her management and they said they would not refund any money.

This time it was our thermostat and regulating our heat with the thermostat. Blue Mountain has a truly remarkable technician. A true Keeper! The only bad thing is although we originally scheduled an appt MONTHS ago it was rescheduled by the office; always on THE DAY of service; approx. 4-5 times. Very disappointing. We've been loyal customers since we bought our house 2017. I used to LOVE this company. Somehow this company has changed within the past 18ths- 24mnths. Sadly, NOT for the better. * The first time, they sent out a technician that was requested for the yearly check up for our heating... they sent out someone that had NO knowledge of the Oil heater we have that they installed. Said he was here to check the air conditioner. NOPE!!! Technician 5 's. If I had 10 's to give him I would Company & all the rescheduling 1-2

My wife and I had a new heat pump installed last month and the experience was less than perfect…read more The price was just OK. There were equipment delays from the manufacture (Trane) due to Covid 19. In total we waited almost a month for our installation. During this time the Blue Mountain office staff kept us up to date on our equipment status and gave us the option to move our installation up if we would switch from Trane to different heat pump manufacturer. While we waited the Blue Mountain team kept our existing system limping along until the installation could be scheduled. When the installation finally began there was an additional delay due to a manufacture problem with the equipment. Blue Mountain fixed the problem but I was disappointed my new heat pump needed service before the installation even was completed. If I had to do over again, I would not have waited for Trane. The installation crew worked efficiently, kept their work area clean, was careful in my house and did an excellent job explaining how to operate the thermostat. The 3 man installation crew included a very young apprentice which was concerning but he was well supervised and I'm happy to see a young man getting properly trained in the trades. Even with the delays and equipment problem, I am very happy with my new heat pump and would recommend Blue Mountain for this kind of work. I have already seen a reduction in my electric usage and expect to save about $30 for the first month.

Was told that he could come as late as 5:30pm. It's dinner time for the family and dogs and the technician is probably tired and anxious to get home. Not confident he will do a good job. Out of town so rescheduled for 2 more weeks and promised we would be "first stop" of the day. They called the day of service and confirmed "8am-12pm" arrival. 1pm still nothing. Called and told the technician was out with a family emergency and even though they tried to call back w/i 30 minutes of the first call were "unable to leave a message". Not able to get another AM service date for another week and a half. Requested to be notified if they get a cancelation and told I would be put on the list. This is the last service under my current contract and I've already started looking elsewhere. The girls that answer the phone are as nice as they can be, but the company is just completely unreliable now.
