I did, however, have to make multiple rest stops because I was dying lol. View was gorgeous and the picture does not do justice. There were maybe 3 other small groups when we got there but we were so spread apart that we didn't run into each other. On the way back down, I had a mishap and my shoelace hoop hooked onto my other shoes hook and I took a nice fall. It was my mistake and not the trails. I didn't even try to fix my mistake because as we were nearing the parking lot, I tripped again (same reason) and I fell on the rocks right before the asphalt. We had a good laugh. The employee who was on the golf cart was on his way back and saw me on the ground. He kindly asked if I needed help but I was too busy laughing and embarrassed that I declined his help. This will definitely be a memory to remember!

The one for big kids was slightly dirty and run down. It also had a lot of spider webs. I also wish the playground had an enclosed gate but there are two huge openings. There's a lot of picnic tables, bbq pits, a bathroom and trash cans around. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days and parking in the residential neighborhood as well. I think they can do a better job at keeping the area clean -- that' was my biggest ick.

Definitely bring water with you as there are no water spouts/fountains on any of the trails. Closed toed shoes are a must as possion ivy is present along with blackberry bushes. Most of the trails provide plentry of shade and pretty foliage. Views of the whole Napa Valley await you at the top (with a couple of benches to take a nice rest). Some days a layer of fog will sit above the valley but that usually burns off by late morning. You'll come across lots of dogs and kids so this place is good for all.

It's a beautiful hike filled with dense forest and streams. It's a fairly easy hike, well kept, with stairs at most of the steep paths, very narrow at spots and a lot of poison oak/Ivy off the sides of the path. Located on the Bartholomew Winery, a private park with hours from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM when the main gate gets locked (big sign). There is plenty of free parking. My friend and I walked the trail around 1:30 PM. on a Wednesday. We only saw one other hiker the whole time, so nice, so peaceful, we had the whole forest to ourselves. LOL there was a warning sign for Mountain Lions, we did not see or hear anything, only the birds and the stream. I would definitely recommend this trail and I would come back to walk it again.

They have two sand volleyball pits, public bathroom, lots of picnic tables, lots of green grass and lots of trees. There's also a trail for hiking and it's dog friendly. We threw down a blanket and took a catnap in the shade under the trees and when my dog got bored, we watched the volleyballers battle it out a ways away. They have a decent sized parking lot available, with additional parking in a smaller lot just up the road closer to the baseball diamond.

The first time I went I didn't realize you could look at a map beforehand because it's not a simple find on their website but I suggest looking beforehand to see what it offers (plan your visit-visitor information-download map). The rose garden here was underwhelming. This one was quite small and didn't look like it was maintained. If you want to see roses I'd recommend the nearby Cornerstone gardens, which have a much better rose garden, and they don't charge an entrance fee. I loved the pond with the lily pads and the Asian garden with all the greenery and small bridges. I also loved how garden was right next to a vineyard. Sonoma is beautiful and warm and it's nice driving up the 12 looking at wineries and admiring the scenery.
