The room was clean and pretty spacious, there was lots of lights and outlets available. Everything worked and was pretty stocked up with towels, toilet paper, etc. We loved the convenience of having a microwave and mini fridge we could use in the room. You could hear the AC running but we didn't really mind it. Though the pool was small, we enjoyed that it was a heated pool and that there were towels provided. The little fitness room didn't have much, but was filled with the basics - mats, a bench, weights, 2 treadmills, and 2 ellipticals. I only used the treadmill for incline walks. I liked how the fitness room was open 24/7, so I got to go in really early in the morning/on my time. The complimentary breakfast was nothing extravagant, but it was nice and basic. Breakfast is served from 6:30 - 9:30AM, we usually got up early and had breakfast around 7ish. It wasn't really busy around that time, and the workers were really great at restocking and refilling. There was a lot of food places around the area, lots of hidden gems that aren't a far drive. Overall, we enjoyed our week stay and would book here again! read more

She was very rude to not just me, but also my children, on multiple occasions during our stay. We didn't get to enjoy every perk of the hotel since we were passing through and just needed a place to lay our head for couple hours but we'll be sure to stay there again if passing through. read more

Large room. Decent price. Plenty of useful furnishing, modern and clean, and nice bed reading lights, a useful work desk, separate toilet and shower rooms, but strangely: 1. The TV had 4 vertical black lines on the screen, no matter the channel 2. The floor lamp adjacent to the front door would not go on. The bedside lamp on the table between the beds would not go on. It took a while, but looking under the shades I found a button on the stalk - not where lights normally have stalks to twist/push. So we figured that out. 4. The wifi had no password, which raises security concerns - a password network is pretty standard. 5. The swiveling desk chair wobbled and tilted - would not sit level. 6. The doors are very heavy, giving my wife an arm bruise on the front door, and then hit me in the ear when I bent over to pick up something just outside the door. That's a first for me. 7.The toilet door slides, and often slides open... which doesn't matter to a married couple, but the lock/latch plate on the door was removed and never replaced - that's why. 8. It took forever to get hot shower at 11pm. Eventually got to "mildly heated". The shower had 2 sets of controls: the old disabled ones they didn't remove and a newer set just above the tub. Turn the handle to start the water and THEN move the lever atop the knob all the way to the left (counter-clockwise) to get hot started. Then wait. Each of those problems isn't major by itself but gives one the sense, along with the above items, that property maintenance is a weakness. On the good news front, outside the front door and across the street is Shirley's bakery https://shirleysbakerycafe.com/ Which has pastries, soup, sandwiches and salads... TO GO until 7pm. So since we wanted to eat lite, that was very convenient. My wife reports the breakfast was terrible: ran out of coffee, eggs, waffles and did not replace. Coffee tasted terrible. They did have yoghurt cups and small chocolate milks. Staff was helpful. read more

What a disappointment following a recent very nice experience at Springhill Suites in San Diego. The Springhill Suites in Provo is an older property that needs maintenance work. The staff is also not as pleasant and nice to deal with as the staff at the San Diego hotel. A smile and a caring attitude can do wonders to the guest experience and general feeling that their business is appreciated. Although our room is very similar to what we had in San Diego it was smaller than what we had before. The hallways and lobby area also seemed very tired and in need of some TLC. Breakfast is a joke. We were down for breakfast about an hour after breakfast service started. There really is no breakfast - no hot dishes except for 2 pieces of waffle that were wrapped in cellophane and kept in the warming tray. There was no bread for toasting, no pastries or muffins of any sort. There was also very little fresh fruit. I heard one guest comment that the orange juice looked like it had curdled. We ended up going to a bakery delicatessen across from their parking lot for breakfast as did a few other hotel guests. We would definitely not stay again as it is very poor value for the money. The property needs to have some maintenance work done and the staff should be hospitality employees. read more

DO NOT PICK THIS PLACE!!! Not recommended. Especially for a long stay. We were put here for a work trip and so we didn't have a choice. Maybe okay for one or two nights but the whole week was unbearable. They have an exercise room but only half the machines are working so get prepared for a tread mill and only a tread mill the have two elliptical machines but they are not working machines and never have been. I think they are there just for show. They told us they put us in a nice quiet room in the back but the air conditioning sounds like a jet taking off every 10 minutes. Which after a whole week makes for a very unrested guest. They told us the food changes each day. It does not! After a week of the same unhealthy food makes for a very hungry and undernourished guest. They have a carb fest so if you are into healthy eating there are no options here. No Greek yogurt. No fiber (apples and berries are not offered). Oatmeal is instant and toppings are full of sugar. Not a piece of wheat anything in sight. All white bread options. Only protein available is highly processed meats and eggs. Which eggs are okay but that is all you have for 6 straight days it's almost unbearable. I was highly dissatisfied with the service. All they said to me was "this all is have" And "sorry no work". And that isn't a grammar error on my part. Those are the words spoken to me as the "service" offered. read more

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and well stocked with all of the necessary necessities for a quick weekend trip. The employees were very helpful and so pleasant, 6 stars to them. Everyone we interacted with was so easy to talk with and always had answers to our questions. The continental breakfast was alright. Wish they would've had more fresh fruit and dairy products. Lots and lots of baked goods (muffins, danishes, waffles, toast). Overall, average. They have a pretty large gym if you're down to get swole on vacation. A pool too, but NO HOT TUB. What kind of hotel in Utah doesn't have a hot tub?! That's the main reason we booked a hotel instead of staying with family--and were pretty disappointed when we realized that. It's in a pretty good location if you need to be in Provo, though. If you're looking for a nice place, book it and don't bring your swimsuit. TIPS & TRICKS: * Breakfast only goes until 9:30am, so make sure you're up and at 'em before then. Came here for a college football game at BYU. First off, the location is perfect! Across the street from the stadium and you can tailgate there. They only have parking for hotel guests so others can't just pay to park and crowd up the lot. Also, they have a nice side patio area that is first come, first serve with a BBQ. The staff is friendly and the rooms are new and clean. There are 2 sinks, one in a room with the toilet, and the other in the room with the shower. The couch is a pull out and there is a 37 inch LCD TV. The hot breakfast is decent, and they keep everything nice and clean and stocked. I would recommend this for anyone coming to BYU for any reason! read more

We've stayed here several times the last couple of years, and overall it is a good choice when you are up visiting your kids at school because the rooms have the little seating area for visiting and you are not limited to sitting on the beds. Also, it's close to BYU and almost everything else in Provo. Inside our hotel room was clean and pleasant, with just a few exceptions. Unfortunately, the couch was so broken down where the sofabed is that no one could sit there, so that was disappointing. The tv remote wasn't working, so we got a new one, but then the TV itself wouldn't turn on, and we were getting in too late and too tired to ask to get it fixed. The fridge was barely cool, so hit the snowflake button when you remember if you're trying to keep some food in there. The breakfasts are okay. I wish they'd use real eggs and breakfast meats. Be warned that if you're on a ketogenic diet, they don't always have the breakfast meats, there might be a potato hash option instead, and when they offer waffles, there are no strawberries, so we had to eat out those days. There are plenty of options if you are a high-carb eater. A couple of mornings they were out of coffee (I think it was the almost empty leftovers from the day before), but the staff was quick to replace the pot when asked. Unfortunately, they only offer the little fake containers of creamer. There is no carafe of cream or half-and-half. I'd rather pay a couple of dollars more and have real food and cream for my coffee, especially since there is not a decent coffee drive-thru in Provo. Maybe someday. I find the beds much more comfortable than I did previously. I don't know if it is because they have new beds or just from wear and tear, but before they were overly soft and I felt like I was being smothered. They are perfect now! The hotel was fairly crowded this trip. There were continually men out back smoking on the steps in the morning and night, so park in front if you can. Looking back, this review might seem kind of negative, but really I do recommend the Springhill! Just be warned that there are a few things you should know ahead of time. read more

Room was clean, the bed was comfy but the pull-out couch was stained with "hopefully" chocolate but it looked more like something else - ewe and it was very worn out. The room is laid out different with the toilet and sink in one place then the shower and another sink in another room. I liked this. The front desk doesn't seem very organized. The pool was closed due to a heater problem. Our rooms that we had personally reserved was not available due to heat problems. I arrived late due to a night arrival at the airport. The lady that checked me in was very nice. The room was nice and could fit a whole family. However the HVAC unit in the bedroom was making a very loud clicking sound due to the expansion and contraction from the hot/cold. It woke me up every time it turned on and I got very little sleep. My wife and I stopped in here from San Diego, on our way to Yellowstone for our honeymoon. Travis helped us when checking in, and informed us he upgraded our reservation to their best suite, only one with a balcony, complimentary! The room was fantastic, very roomy and had a nice, modern decor. Very soft bed, chaise lounge, desk and office chair, two LCD TVs approximately 40", mini fridge, microwave and kitchen sink, two bathrooms with toilet/sink only, and then a seperate larger bathroom containing a nice shower, vanity mirror and an oversize tub big enough to squeeze in two people. Free continental breakfast the next morning was delicious. Waffle makers, eggs, sausage patties, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, assorted pastries, bagels, juice, coffee.....you get the picture! All this for $121 after taxes and AAA discount, on a Friday night? What a deal. We will go out of our way on future road trips to stay here again. Got to the hotel at 3:30 pm, picked up our key and headed for our room . . . the room hadn't been made up yet. Hung around for 1/2 hour until the maid finished. Next day we left our room at 8 am returned at 1130 am and our room hadn't been made up yet. Went to lunch returned at 1 pm. . . our room hadn't been made up but the maid's cart was parked in front of the room across from ours, went to our afternoon meetings. Returned to our room at 3 pm, the maid's cart was still across the hall but our room still was not made up, went and sat in the lobby until 3:30. Returned to our room and it was finally made up! Came to Utah for the very first time for a business meeting/weekend getaway. The hotel is clean, if not a little worn. Tried to rent a video and the service was not allowing access. Tried to watch a preferred news channel...once again no access. Night counter person had no idea what was what. Next day reached out to the front desk again. There was no follow up. Maintenance tech came up and said he'd be right back. Never came back. After an hour, called the front desk and there is no manager available or any feedback. Poor communication. No good reason, resolution or compensation except a weak "Sorry about that." Won't be staying here in the future. Doesn't feel like a holiday with the basic hotel services. Lame. read more

Very Rude front desk lady. We are here for a two night stay and confirmed that breakfast was included. They told us to be here between 6-9am. We got there at 8:15 and the lady (Lea or Leah, front desk girl w/ no name tag) said they ran out. I get that this can happen, but the she was very rude about it and treated us like we were beggars asking for a handout. It was public and embarrassing. I then ask her how to ensure we get breakfast tomorrow morning and she said "come between 6-9" I responded and said, that we were before 9 today and your out, and she once again was was condescending and in a rude voice said "I guess just call down". We had to go to Denny's for breakfast, which cost us $60 for us and our 2 young kids. The room was $82... I would have chose a different hotel. I expect more from the GUEST SERVICES lady, Lea. This is a surprisingly good place! I've stayed at several of the hotels in the Provo area over the years and this one was my favorite so far. It has a really interesting and modern interior design that makes the rooms and really the entire hotel feel a bit upscale. The continental breakfasts were much better than average and the location is great if you're going to be around downtown Provo or BYU. The pool and gym were both pretty small so if amenities are a priority then this may not be the place for you. This is certainly no resort. But it's a great choice if you're looking for a centrally-located hotel with good service, comfortable beds, and clean, attractive rooms, for a surprisingly affordable price. read more

We tend to stay at Courtyards but decided to try Spring Hill after finding the Courtyard in Provo not up to the usual standards when we stayed there a year ago. So glad we did. The manager was lovely and very accommodating. The room layout was great and the room was super clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was typical - nothing to get excited about but serves a purpose when you want to get on the road quickly. Kathy who took care of the buffet was charming and friendly and the buffet presentation was excellent with some great fresh fruit choices. We make this trip a couple times a year and will definitely stay here again. read more

Probably the best option in Provo given that the Courtyard is a bit worn and the Marriott has a weird boring feel to it. The Springhill decor is basically a green IKEA version of the W hotel. Rooms are new. Beds are not as comfortable as the regular Marriott - think Courtyard stiff bed. Service is solid and they have the same deal as the Marriott where your key card gets you into Gold's for free. If you find yourself in Provo, this is probably the best call. read more

We weren't warned they're was NO hot tub! That was are whole reason for getting a room! 2 hours from home. Then we go to the pool and its literally filled like 20 people from one family. ..they were nice so it wasn't an issue. ...but then 1130pm we get a noise complaint against us? ! What the hell? ! I always like Springhill Suites for their larger rooms and full hot breakfasts. This one was no exception. Room was large, clean and I was given a 4th floor unit. Unlike some hotels, the breakfast was nicely put together, and the eggs were cooked all the way. I hate runny eggs. They had sausage AND Canadian bacon, plus the waffle maker had the 4 small waffles, not one big one. I liked that. Coffee available all day in the lobby, and I made use of that. Staff was friendly, but I didn't get a room cleaning. Since I was leaving the next day, I didn't make an issue about it, but it would have been hard for a family with no extra TP or toiletries. It's in a quiet area but just a few car miles from shopping, movies, and places to eat. The Courtyard next door has a Starbucks, if you want a special coffee. Their staff was friendly too! read more

The food was great for breakfast, the gym was great, small, but modern. The pool was nice, too, with a jacuzzi. There is also a little snack bar at the front desk that was very much appreciated. This hotel is a Franchise hotel, and is not a corporate hotel. It was recently sold. Gary Patel is the new owner. I was given a folio of my stay on January 3rd. My credit card wasn't billed until January 31st. Ridiculous! No one will take responsibility for this either. Hotel blames corporate, corporate blames hotel. This hotel is exceedingly below Marriott standards. For the record, I am a fan of the Marriott brand hotels because of the high standard accomodations and suite style rooms they excel in. This particular location was a complete dissapointment and I was surprised because of all the 5 star reviews I had seen on Tripadvisor. Sofabed is the smallest I've seen, 2 petitie girls can definitely not fit on it. Mattress was the usual metal coils digging into your back kind which is typical of all sofabeds. But the bed is definitely smaller than even a double bed. Bathroom layout was terrible. Toilet section opens directly in front of one of the queen beds. Great smells for you to enjoy while you are relaxing. Shower and second sink are in a seperate area whose door opens directly in front of the other queen bed. Really??? The bathrooms were clean and spotless atleast. The mini kitchen was nothing more than a microwave and mini fridge. NO SINK. There was a slight smell in our room, like socks, but thank god only slightly noticeable. The bedding used for the queen beds was another area they cheaped out on. The comforter is like not even the thickness of a very thin blanket. Is that even a comforter? And there were no blankets in the room either except for one for the sofabed. It being the middle of winter, we room serviced for 6 blankets and they were gracious enough to provide it without any questions asked. Though we stayed on a Monday night, when much of the parking lot was deserted, the front desk clerk managed to place us in a room with the nearby tire shop as our view, rather than the Wasatch mountains surrounding the property on the other three sides. Genius. Breakfast was mediocre, no oatmeal, egg omelettes had crusty edges indicating they had been warmed far past their capability, no hash browns. Breakfast was stingy and reheated and it showed. The hotel is 3-4 miles into the city off the exit. I am down right confused at how below standard this hotel really was. No marriott I've ever stayed in has been this lacking before. Sad to say but this location needs either new management, a tear down, or just plain remove the marriott name and be honest about the quality you're actually providing. read more

The room was ok - a slight mildew smell and some dirty/cruddy corners in the bathroom. The pool was a bit too cold to really enjoy. The hotel's side entrance was not working. The room seemed well insulated from outside noises but the AC was very loud! The lite breakfast had waffles just one day out of three - a bit disappointing. read more

What a great hotel! With our large family of 5 children, finding accommodations can be tricky. This hotel has generous sized rooms that also connect, so we easily had space for everyone. Everything was clean and comfortable and the front desk was quick to fulfill any requests. Also, the breakfast buffet was great. Lots of variety for picky eaters and real eggs, not powdered nasty ones! If we ever need to stay in Provo again, we will definitely choose this hotel. read more

This was an Awesome hotel! We had been driving from St. George and were very tired. We pulled in off the street and we got an awesome room for a really good price!! I thought the hotel was going to be just alright, but when we got into our room we were surprised! It was all up to date and just beautiful! We had worked really hard that day and jumped right into the shower. Great water pressure!! The room was beautiful, clean and inviting!! We'd stay there again!! read more
