I really enjoyed this hotel it's in the middle of great little restaurants a lot of Colombian and Dominican and Latino food and grocery stores around if you take the subway into the city it's about 45 minutes so it's not too bad from the airport no traffic about 10 minutes the rooms are large and comfy you have a clean bathroom living room and bedroom and most rooms Contain anywhere from 2 to 3 TVs don't need that many but if your large family it's amazing. Also the rooms have a kitchen area with a fridge microwave and a little stove top if you need pots and pans just called downstairs. You can run down the street to the local Latino grocery store and buy all kinds of amazing food that you could cook up in your hotel if you want. They have a gym downstairs, and they also have a free breakfast every day depending weekends and weekdays the time of service is different but usually their breakfast finish around 1030, their breakfast consist of scrambled eggs sausage bacon potatoes you can make your own waffle all different kinds of breads oatmeal's yogurt's there is milk and juice and coffee as well for somebody that is eating healthier there is fruit boiled eggs and so forth. The only downfall I would have to say is the carpet in the rooms some of them have quite a lot of stains. Also when you take a shower the room does get very humid but you do have air-conditioning in the room to help with that also I almost forgot if you do get a room here ask them for a room not on the street especially in the summer time it is very loud and it's hard to get a good nights rest. read more

Great hotel in this location! The staff are friendly and professional. My room was spacious with a nice layout. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are updated, clean and are separate (one with a shower/sink and one with a toilet/small sink). The carpet and couch weren't in the best shape and could use a deep cleaning. It wasn't a big deal as I just wore my slippers in the room while walking around. The hotel is within walking distance to local restaurants. Overall, I found the room very functional and the location was convenient for me. I would stay here again. read more

Not your typical right by the airport hotel. Its actually quite nice inside. The lobby is pretty big, considering that this is Queens. Plus they say it's in the not so good area, but I dont see it. I think people are just paranoid. Anyways, the room... it's quite complete. Theres a big bed with sheets, comforter and a duvet. Pillows,, theres night stands. Theres a window if you want to look out of it. A desk with a office chair if you want to do work. A TV on a dresser. Closet to hang your clothes in and hide your rollaboard. The bathroom is hella complete as well. Theres a stand up shower, it had great water pressure. The sink, faucet and the giant mirror is located here as well. The toilet that flushes is located by the bed area. Totally separate from the shower room. Did I mention this is set up as a suite? It's pretty cool. Theres a living room area with it's own separate TV. Couch, coffee table and all. Anyways, this was definitely a nice place to stay. A good comfy bed to lay my head for the night. TRAVELERS BEWARE This deserves negative star status. My husband and I prepaid this hotel in December for travel 5/14/24. We were returning from Switzerland and had Uber drop us off at this hotel. This hotel is now an immigrant homeless shelter. We were deposited outside this very bad neighborhood with all of our luggage and we were instantly targets. PLEASE BEWARE and be careful. This is the worst HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED, Very loud from the street and road, I couldn't sleep. Elevator was not working, the slow front desk old gentleman was very slow. My flight was delayed and reached very late from IA and I was so tired and expected to have good check in but even Marriot club member I had to wait. They charged for breakfast but there was not much. It is just like staying in no star hotels. I made a reservation at this hotel on December 17, 2023 for the night of August 25, 2024. Advance planning!! On April 9, 2024, nearly four months later, I receive an email from the hotel saying it is closed (I think for renovations) and suggesting two other hotels - one was sold out and the other cost over twice as much per night. Of course, the person who sent me the email did not respond when I asked for help. Great treatment of someone who has spent over 900 nights at Marriott's. Similar to other reviewers, Delta put me up at Springhill Suites after my flight was cancelled. I was definitely frustrated after my flight cancellation. However, settling down at Springhill Suites made me forget my troubles and allowed me a good night's sleep for my travel the following morning. The suite-style rooms are nice and spacious. After a weekend of staying in Manhattan-sized accommodations, the extra room was definitely a luxury. I was actually glad I didn't go back into town to stay with family. I had a lobby-level room, which was somewhat strange, but the room looked newly renovated. I am also guessing the airplane crew usually stays here. With approximately 350-400 sq feet of space, I almost didn't know what to do with myself. It was essentially two rooms, separated by a vanity with a microwave, mini-fridge, 2 TVs, a separated toilet and shower (nice if you're traveling with someone). Even though it was a street-level room, I felt safe and comfortable. The wall air conditioning unit was sufficient. Free Wifi and cable TV with HBO was nice bonus. The shower was clean with good water pressure. The bed and comforter were also nice. They offer free shuttle rides to the airport every 30 minutes. Their free breakfast is simple but good. They offer typical items such as bagels, eggs, ham, bacon, fruits, yogurt and juice. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only downside is that they don't have an in-house restaurant. Plenty of delivery options though. The lady working the bar also helped me order food in Spanish over the phone. If I ever get stranded in LaGuardia again, Sprillhill Suites is where i'll want to be at. read more

We really enjoyed our first stay here by the airport. Friendly. The first thing we did was checked in, then return the rental car and the hotel shuttle picked us up. The shuttle also goes to LaGuardia and the train station. Secured elevators use your room card. Calming and relaxing our room layout was different from other comparable hotels and the change was nice. Thursday evening is Happy Hour at the bar. The patrons and the bartender were friendly. Food is microwave limited, and menus of nearby restaurants are available. The bartender called and ordered in Spanish for us takeout from a Colombian restaurant which was delivered. We ate it at the bar tho lots of tables are available. Breakfast was good. Coffee is available 24/7. There's a Workout room. Was a busy place, and is on our Return list. read more

Our flight out of Laguardia was canceled, so we booked a room for the night. We were at the rental car area, as we had tried to get a rental car to drive home without any luck. I called the hotel to see if there was a shuttle, which there was. They came and picked us up at the rental car place and took us to the hotel. It was late and we got one of the last rooms, since many flights were canceled that evening. The lobby was large and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and courteous. He gave us an extra large room, which was great. It had two bedrooms, a kitchen area and sitting area; way too much for just my husband and I, but would definitely be great for a family with children. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We told them that we would need a shuttle back to the airport the following morning and it was ready at 5:30 AM sharp to take us. We were only there for the one night and we arrived late and left early, but I had no issues with this hotel. read more

Front desk person seemed annoyed to have to check me in! My profile states high floor, away from elevator and noise. I received a room on the second floor, across from the soda machine, on the main road, with no apologies! Have trouble getting to sleep due to all the street noise and no sooner am I asleep when someone walks through the hallway kicking people's doors! Decent hotel. Didn't have any major issues but I wouldn't say I enjoyed my stay here. I stayed here 3 nights. Upon check-in, around mid-night, the valet didn't know how to drive stick so I had to park my car myself and meet him in the garage so he could show me where to park. The check-in process was quick except that the room keys they gave me didn't work so they had to have house keeping let me into the room until they were able to send up replacement keys. After this my keys worked fine. The complementary breakfast was pretty good and comprehensive. One of the better breakfasts I've seen offered by a hotel. The room itself was clean, spacious, and quiet. There was some road noise but this is to be expected in NYC. The only issue I had with the room was there was a faint moldy smell. Nothing to bad but it just seemed like there was poor air circulation. I later found out that a coworker who stayed at the same hotel at the same time had her room moved because her room smelled like mold. So I'm not sure if this is an issue with just my room or multiple rooms. Housekeeping was great. I didn't have any other issues with the valet service. My car wasn't damaged and they were usually pretty quick bringing the car up. They did have a feature so that you could text them and have the car ready by the time you got down to the lobby. Great hotel! I stayed here when my flight was cancelled from LGA and had a wonderful experience. The room they put me up in was a suite, 2 rooms- 2 beds on one side, couch and living area in the other room. Everything in the hotel was clean and the hotel was very new. One of the employees let me know this hotel was only 1.5 years old which explains the modern decor they had compared to most other hotels in the area! They offer a complimentary continental breakfast which included quite a lot of food - egg whites, regular scrabbled eggs, french toast, Belgium waffles, boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, bacon and sausage, yogurt, juice, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit! Quite the selection! There isn't too much else in the area as far as food, but the hotel does have a snack selection downstairs for purchase. There were about 2 restaurants that were within walking distance, one a Chinese (No. 1 Chinese Restaurant) restaurant and the other Colombian. I did walk about 4 blocks to the Chinese restaurant and was able to have something to eat for dinner. Our Delta flights Were canceled and we were sent to LaGuardia airport where our connecting flight was canceled therefore we had to find a place to spend the night. I used yelp app and Google and came up with this hotel. Standing in the airport trying to track our luggage From getting on another airplane I called this hotel and told them that I needed a room as we were stranded in New York at the airport. I was told there was one king room left the price was $459 plus tax. Not familiar with the area that we were in and the proximity of the hotel to the airport and the fact it was a Marriott made us choose this hotel. In our experience Marriotts have a certain upscale reputation for quality, cleanliness and overall nice hotel. So even though the hotel was much more than we anticipated to ever pay, because of the Marriott reputation and the situation we were and we excepted this hotel room to be a really nice place to be at the end of a very long day. When our cab dropped us at the hotel, we walked into the lobby and it was disappointing with older furnishings. It was not what We was expecting for this type of money. When we went to our room we opened the door and the room smelled bad and unknowing to me the rooms had individual air-conditioning units in them not installed thermostat air conditioning systems that are in other hotels. That could've been partly my fault for not having time to do the research about the hotel but it was some thing that could've been overlooked if it wasn't for the first thing we saw when we opened the door was a couch that looked like someone put it out on the curb for garbage disposal to pick up. It was worn and fraying and stained and the cushions sagged in the middle. I called the front death to ask if there was another room and was told that that was the last room in the hotel they were completely booked. We were fortunate enough to find an extra set of bedding linens in the closet and use them to cover up the entire couch so that we at least felt comfortable about sitting on it. The room felt like it was partially updated and partially left old. It was Certainly not something you would expect for $459 a night. The situation we were and we had no choice as we were told when we booked the room that it was nonrefundable, that should have been my first clue. I have made a complaint to the hotel on the survey that they sent me I am not sure that I will get a response but if I do I will certainly update my review as to the outcome. They did have a continental breakfast that that was decent and I felt that the bed was clean but the pillows felt a little old and worn. I have posted photos of the couch to see for yourself and make your own opinion. I felt like we were price gauged and don't feel like this hotel stands up to the standards of what Marriott hotels pride themselves on. read more

One of my favorite crew hotels. Why? Well, the suite is bright, airy and roomy. Has a split living room/kitchen area that leads into the bed and bathroom. Two TVs, one by the entrance and then one right across the bed. Pretty nice fitness center and on-site laundry. The fitness center is pretty standard. Has the necessary weights/cardio equipment for a sufficient workout. The laundry room is my personal favorite as I find myself the need to wash clothes on the hot summer days where I do sweat a lot. Last thing I want is getting ready the next morning for a trip and have that sweat stink with me for the entire day... Huge plus for a hotel to have on-site laundry. Staff is awesome here, from the receptionists, housekeeping, to the van driver. Everyone is stellar here. Never had a problem with housekeeping knocking on my door even when my checkout time was after 3PM. There is also a little gift shop by the reception desk that offers select food items (snack varieties), bathroom essentials, and other nifty little things that you forgot that you needed. I usually get their wash detergent and dryer sheets. Want to get out of here to go to Manhattan... Times Square specifically? You can elect to walk a short 10 mins to the metro station or get the hotel shuttle to drop you off there to get on the 7 train to Manhattan. Last stop is Times Square. Boom! You're there right in the middle of everything. I'm going to give this hotel a 5 stars due to my experience in accordance to its hotel star rating. This was a nice surprise big size room for NY. It's fairly close to the LGA airport and the staff is friendly. The shuttle runs back and forth to the airport and my room was clean. I had a fridge and a microwave which was a plus and a nice King size bed in my room. The shower and toilet were separated in different rooms which was different but also kind of nice if your significant other was with you (if you know what I mean :) Lol!!) The rooms are very large, but it's one of the cheapest Marriott properties with a LGA shuttle. The shuttle bus was very quick and picked me up directly from the Hertz rental car facility. You need to call the hotel for a pick up; you dont just stand waiting and guessing where they are. In the morning the bus leaves on the hour and half hour starting at 4:30am. The front desk staff were very helpful, and they have a little bar area. The breakfast spread was standard but the layout was pretty nice. It's within walking distance of a few other restaurants and bars. I would stay here again if ever traveling in and out of Laguardia. read more

The staff was really nice and answered questions and brought us things we needed. The suit we had was very comfortable and roomy. The king size bed was great; I slept really well on it. We had two tvs and a nice size kitchen. The bathroom is large and I enjoyed taking a bath in the longer tub. My only issues I had were that the room was too bright in the morning and woke me up very early, the towels are very rough, and the wifi in my room was not very strong. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. They had a waffle maker, hot items, and cereals. There was also fresh fruit and yogurt. Our room had a beautiful view of the water and Manhattan. I worked with the sales office to set-up a block of rooms as well as a breakfast for the group. The team was very helpful and responsive. The block of rooms was for a wedding and we were able to take care of everything via email. The hotel was able to handout welcome bags as guests checked in. A fantastic plus was that all rooms that were part of the block had a 1pm checkout so no one needed to rush out prior to breakfast. The hotel is in a very accessible location which is great. It's not in an area where there are lots of things walking distance, but for proximity to LGA, Terrace on the Park, the Tennis Stadium or Citifield it's a great place to stay. Rooms are quite large suites which included a separate sitting room with a couch and a kitchenette. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The bed was heavenly. As for the private group breakfast, it was fairly standard. Scrambled eggs, bagels, bacon, yogurt and coffee. The food was just OK, but I have to say the coffee was good. Valet Parking is available and you can text the valet to get your car; which could be a real time saver. All in all I was very happy with the choice. read more

I stayed on a trip with a few of my buddies so that we could catch a Mets game and this was our experience: Pros: + As I mentioned above, everyone is super friendly and helpful. From the front desk check in staff to the breakfast staff. Everyone is top notch. + The free continental breakfast is reasonably good and you can make good food choices, and still feel full. + WiFi was fast enough to stream Netflix. Cons: - As a Marriott Platinum, I usually get some perk for staying at a property. No recognition here. - It was an older property that was probably a lower end hotel, and you can still seem some remnants of that. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower, which makes for an awkward transition from doing you know what to going to hop into the shower afterwards. - The room with the toilet has a sliding door (not a lot of sound privacy) and is directly facing the bed. All told, I would return to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York LaGuardia Airport if I am heading to Citi Field or catching a flight from LGA. read more

I come here every year during the US Open because my company books this hotel. But to be honest, I wish I didn't have to stay here. The staff is very rude, and the shuttle service is not very good. They advertise times of pick ups which aren't met all the time. Part of the reason my company books this hotel is because they have a shuttle service, but that point is defeated if the service isn't good. Several times I would end up walking because the shuttle wouldn't show up and then when I called back they would say I missed it, whic I knew was a lie because I was there on time. The hotel itself is ok, it has a nice lobby, but the rooms could use a major upgrade. And the breakfast is decent, it has some variety. The only thing I do like about it is that they are nearby a lot of restaurants and the train isn't too far. read more

Breakfast was very good with many choices but you must get there before 10am because the staff is very prompt in closing the doors. The rooms were very well kept. Even though this was a busy hotel, our stay was very quiet. You can easily miss the entrance to the hotel since the driveway is right off Northern Avenue. You must drive down to what appears to be the parking garage but it is where you check-in and where valet will park your car. This is a busy area. I suggest parking on the left side due to the valet staff parking cars on the right. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for proximity to LaGuardia Airport. Breakfast is provided. Not good for people who are sensitive to smells. The smell of the cleaners used in the bathroom was so overpowering that it was difficult to sleep. I opened the window for an hour in an unsuccessful attempt to air it out. Toilet is in a separate room from the shower; tiny sofa area. From my room on the second floor I heard trucks backing up, music from passing cars, and noises from the floors upstairs- basically, it's like living in an NYC apt building. Reserved a parking space using Way.com 6 days in advance of needing to park for a flight out of LGA. Arrived and valet refused to park the car stating they were full. Clearly the garage does not actually reserve spaces despite my "guaranteed reservation". Would recommend avoiding using this location for airport parking. read more

First time stay. I wish I had a better memory so I could list each of the staff who were cheerful, helpful and frankly pretty humorous. Parking service was fast every time. I used the shuttle twice. A little late to pick me up but understandable. The women behind the bar were also very knowledgable about local restaurants And happy to befriend all of the traveling folks on business. Finally the front desk staff was wonderful. I think I can commend Lucie and Doris....(not exactly sure of names) Oh and I liked my room too. Not sure when I'll be back but look forward to my return. So this is a mixed review: Hotel itself (4 stars)- the hotel was well maintained with new features and a pretty modern design. I shared a suite room with my parents and it was extremely spacious with a very reasonable price. The roommates are also quiet and we could not hear any of the outside traffic nor our neighbors. They also have a free shuttle to and from La Gaurdia. House cleaning and front desk (3 stars)- on the first full day there the house cleaning came to the room early and we were all getting ready. We asked them to come back and ran into the staff in the hall and told them the room was free to clean on our way out around 11AM. When we came back about 9PM the room had not been cleaned. We told the front desk and they basically implied it was our fault for turning the staff away and got us new towels. The next day we were out of the room at 8:30AM and when we go back at 4Pm the room was not cleaned again. We called the front desk and they again gave us resistance and said they technically only have to clean the room every three days. My family was actually there for a funeral and having to fight to get our room cleaned was a stress we did not need. So over all a great hotel if you are in the area but be ready and ask the staff up front how often you will get your room cleaned so you know when you have to make your bed and rre-use your towels. read more

We had a great stay here. Our flight was delayed and the airport shuttle only runs until midnight, but we gave them a call and they still came to get us. The airport is only about 10 minutes in the shuttle from terminal to the front door. Super convenient! The staff was also incredibly friendly and even offered us late check-out when we asked about returning shuttles. Complimentary breakfast was solid with actually decent eggs, sausage, french toast and the usual cold to-go items like bagels and muffins. Modern decor which I really liked and cute and comfortable lobby. The room was really nice as well and had 3 TVs!! I was, however, totally baffled by the lights. We couldn't get any in the bedroom to turn on except the little nightlights on a moveable arm, but it didn't really matter since we passed out straight away anyway. Rooms were super clean and I slept like a rock on the bed. We had a really great stay... But I can't really recommend it if you are here on vacation and plan on venturing into the city. This hotel is great for layovers at LaGuardia or have your own/private transportation. If you are here to spend time in the city and wanted to use public transportation, I really don't recommend it based solely on the area. We stayed here and had no problems at all with the hotel shuttle.. but the area around this hotel is not a good area. We walked to the 111th station for the subway and even at 6am, the area was weird and I felt a bit uncomfortable walking past the homes and cars that are en route. On our way home, we found out that the return direction for the 111th station was closed that day for maintenance. We got off early at Junction Blvd which is only a mile walk to hotel, but were really uncomfortable in the areas we were walking in and there were no taxis. If you are coming to NYC for a visit, I would not recommend using public transportation for going to/from the hotel. Afterwards we did a little research about the area (because I was really curious if I was being paranoid) and it really just isn't a great place to be walking around in. After having an emergency at my house I stayed here until renovations was complete. My stay was pleasant the room was large and clean, there is a small fridge, microwave and small stove, you can go to the bodega and get things to snack on. The bathroom was a good size and they use Paul Mitchell products. The plus was the continental breakfast . The breakfast was tasty and offered a lot of variety from scrambled eggs, to egg whites, waffles, yogurts, cereals, etc you get the point. They have a really nice lobby with lots a seating so you don't have to stay in your room. Parking is $22.00 per day, but I'm from New York so I know better than to pay. park on the street, read the signs, you will be okay, they also have a shuttle. The only con, I felt the rooms were a little over priced but i would absolutely stay again and recommend. read more

Pros: Shuttle to and from the airport is provided by the hotel, it's also about a mile away from the train station to go to NYC. The rooms are great and beds are very comfortable. They also have a breakfast buffet in the morning. Cons: If you want to get a goodnight sleep, you can forget it. Most of their rooms are next to the street and this lovely city of Corona definitely have noisy streets (Motorcycles, loud cars, police sirens and other vehicles that have sirens etc) I avoid staying here, unfortunately this is the hotel we are provided for work so I don't really have much choice. So far so good. Ive been here two weeks and will be here two more. I am pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, considerate and very helpful. It appears to be a relatively new hotel. It is clean and very well taken care of. Rest of the review now, I've been here a month and the stay was great. The staff is personable, helpful and made the long stay less trying. My only suggestion is to possibly work on the thermostats on the a/c units. It worked great because it got very cold but when I turned it off it still came back on eventually on its own. Cell phone service is horrible I had to stand by the window and go into the street for a conference call. If your trip to NY includes the US Open (tennis) or a Mets' game, then this Marriott property might be for you. This location is a short drive away from the National Tennis Center and Citi Field. Although I didn't take advantage of it, there is a shuttle service to and from the National Tennis Center. This location is also close to a major parkway, so getting to and from Manhattan shouldn't be an issue. When I checked out, I needed a taxi to get to Manhattan; the representative at the front desk called a car service that arrived promptly ($55.00 for the ride to 54th and Broadway... I thought it was reasonable). There's parking on the premises... Valet only at $24.00/day. The lobby is well maintained and the employees were very professional and friendly. The common areas were also very well maintained. Our room on the 5th floor was comfortable but I was disappointed with the condition of the carpet in the room. As I walked into the room, I couldn't help but noticed the very badly stained carpet (stains in many areas throughout the room). Other than the stained carpet, the room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and it was quiet. Were it not for the stained carpet, this Marriott property would have received a four star rating from me. read more

Everthing was good except for this strong/horrible smell similar to cat urine in the hallways and in our room.

I was there Thursday night May 25-26, 2017. My flight from Denver was 4 hours late causing me to miss the Mets game but the hotel took care of me like a 1st class operation. The shuttle driver tried to get me there for the last inning but we were too late. They also gave me a ride the next day to the subway stop. The front desk person, Maiajah Keel, went above and beyond excellent service by printing out the exact way for me to get from the hotel to Philly so I would not miss my next game. Service used to be great. Starting from the outside, sidewalks and walkway are filthy. The wear and tear is quite noticeable when you enter the lobby, stained carpets and countertops. Staff used to be friendly. My room had stains (red wine or blood), and drink stains on the couch. The bath towels had a bad scent. I called for fresh towels and was put on hold for 13 minutes! I used to stay here 2-3 times a year, but I'll start looking else where. Management and employees don't seem to care. There are several new hotels that opened in the area that are trendy with clean rooms that are worth looking into, at lower rates too!!! read more
