Go here for a clean comfortable convenient stay if you are in the area. ***Special shout out to Leslie at the front desk who was SOOOOO kind to go out and close the hood of my car which was accidentally opened while I was over one hour away! Thank you Leslie for going above and beyond! You were gone by the time I got back to the room and I had wanted to personally tell you how much I appreciated your willingness to help out a customer and step out into the brutal cold to do that! Sometimes the little things are the big things! And while I love the Marriott brand it's employees like you Leslie that go above and beyond that keep me loyal to the brand. Keep up the good work! My room was 434 and had a nice modern mirror with back lighting which was perfect for applying makeup. There was plenty of natural light and artificial light options. The shower was clean but the water pressure was just a tad lower than I would have liked. They do provide the ability to change the pressure on the shower head so that helped with rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner. This was probably one of the cleanest bed spreads from a hotel. The place was co-designed by West Elm and is clean and has all the amenities you need. There was free breakfast I didn't take advantage of as it ended too early! They also accommodated a request for a later checkout and had an electric charging station available. Super convenient and reasonably priced and employees like Leslie! read more

It's a clean spacious room & the hotel is only a 15 minute drive from Downtown historic Annapolis, & 5-8 minute-ish drive to shopping centers & Rise Up coffee. Breakfast: Complimentary hot & cold items: cold cereal. oatmeal with various toppings in individual containers which I like. It's more sanitary. Bagels, eggs, turkey sausage & vegan sausage, make your own waffles, yogurt. The juice (OJ, cranberry grape, apple juice) are in individual containers in the fridge with the yogurt under the counter near the bagels. Hot coffee & hot water for tea is nearby but away from the breakfast items which helps with the flow of traffic. Front desk was pleasant & efficient. They have an indoor pool/ whirlpool which we didn't use. I like Springhill Suites because they're always spacious, clean and contain a sofa bed and separate tv area as well as a microwave & mini fridge. I think this particular one was renovated. The sink area is outside the bathroom, so if someone needs to brush their teeth or primp they can while someone is showering or using the commode. Not a huge deal, but I prefer that the toilet not be so close to the shower. It was 5 inches or so from the shower door, it was close. You can't physically enter the shower from that end obviously, nor are you supposed to, if you wanted to due to the toilet obstructing the way. No sink inside the bathroom. The closest is walk-in & huge. I almost feel like they should have utilized the closet space or some of it to put in a separate toilet from the shower. However, I get it. It depends on where the plumbing is located. At the foot of the bed, the pathway to the bed closest to the window is narrow. The lighting is great! They have recess lighting & reading lights at the head of the bed . Plenty of electrical outlets and a desk, chair and floor lamp and desk lamp. AC /heat works wonderfully. I like the room cold and unfortunately tend to freeze out my friends/family. It actually got too cold for me that I turned up the temperature and my friend asked if the heat was on. I agree with prior guests regarding paid parking. I knocked off a star because charging for parking is obnoxious & unnecessary where the hotel is located. There are plenty of spaces. As of current (8/2024) it costs $9.50 for 24 hr parking, in & out privileges this includes the service fee. There is no gate entrance to the lot. You pay for parking separately via scanning the QR code. They recently started to charge for parking. There are other Marriott hotels to choose from, but this one has the lowest charge for parking. It's a good location. But it's near busy roads that aren't conducive to walking to places. It is fairly close to a hospital if needed, or if you need to be close to someone in that particular hospital. read more

Their front desk staff, Amy, was one of the rudest Marriott employees I have ever encountered. She was pretty nasty while reminding me that check in is not until 3 pm with a rude tone in her voice, and pretty much told me all I could do was just wait two more hours as I arrived just before 1 pm. When I told her that I spoke w/her colleague via marriott app's chat feature, she reminded me that 3 pm check in is always mentioned in the chat, to which I told her was clearly not mentioned in the app chat replies. Why this silly staff chose to argue with me and to be in such a bad mood is quite puzzling, but she does not belong at the front desk to check in guests. Thankfully Alex, their manager, took over the situation with a much nicer demeanor and found me a room within 10 minutes of my arrival, and accommodated my request for an end of a hall unit on a high floor. Their mattresses are pretty old and plushy. It gave me back pain the first night, and I slept on the couch instead which was surprisingly firm and comfortable. Last, but not least, is the issue with their EV charging station for guests driving EVs: they only have one blink charging station with a charger with a broken lock grip: on the last night of my stay, there were couple other drivers that were putting the broken charger to their EV to charge with arguments ensuing. There are certainly couple things this springhill suites can improve on as I most likely won't return to this property next time I stay in Annapolis. read more

I just checked in last night to stay here for a week. I made it clear I needed an accessible room with grab bars near the toilet and in the shower because I'm unsteady and so is my 80-year-old sister. Nope...they ignored that. When I called and politely asked about it, the only thing available was a single king bedroom. I have a 2-queen room with a living room and kitchenette. I said never mind because I can't fit visiting family members into a single king room. SO STRIKE NUMBER ONE. STRIKE NUMBER TWO...I get here after driving from Florida, tired, expecting to check in and use the MUCH HERALDED indoor pool and spa. The screeching from the pool area was loud even in the check-in area. It hadn't occurred to me that this lovely, relaxing experience I was sold would be filled with children screaming. I had imagined a week where I could relax using that pool and spa with my 80-year-old sister. She even bought a brand new swimsuit for this. I'm so bummed out because last night and this morning I got treated to more SCREAMING KIDS running down my hallway on their way to the pool and coming back from the pool. The pool, I was so looking forward to. STRIKE NUMBER THREE was a single 4-slot toaster for ALL THE GUESTS who PAID for breakfast with their room. BTW, tell the front desk people not to say COMPLIMENTARY breakfast. WE PAID FOR IT. read more

Booked a handicap accessible room (confirming no less than 4 times that the reservation is for someone in a wheelchair) only to be told at the time of check in that no accessible rooms are available. This was a great place to stay -- plenty of parking, friendly staff, a gym, a pool and hot tub, and complimentary breakfast. It covered all my bases. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. It was nice going to the pool when it was empty, but that's just on luck. I've seen a couple hotels with closed hot tubs, so it was nice to see one working and nice and hot. The only downside I'd say was breakfast was decent but not great. It's what one would expect from a hotel though. It was also crowded, so had to dart around others quite a bit. I stayed 2 nights, and on request they do housecleaning between which was nice to have the option. Rates were also a decent price. It was a good place to stay. read more

Really nice, welcoming, and helpful staff. All around nice hotel. Our suite was clean, spacious, and the pullout couch was perfect. Nice sized bathroom and I particularly liked the standalone face basin. One person could have privacy while showering and the other could apply makeup without worrying that steam from the shower was killing their entire vibe :). The hot tub in our room was PERFECT. Although the hotel has a pool and hot tub, that wknd was quite busy with guests. Both were busy day in and day out, so thankfully we didn't have to worry about any of it. Stayed for one night in route back to DC and was upgraded to a suite with a spa tub. Mid day mobile check in was convenient and the hotel is located nearby retail and restaurants. The suite was remodeled and had separate living room & desk, large walk in closet and was tastefully renovated. The spa tub came in handy and was located just off the bedroom and the room also included a mini frig, microwave coffee machine and wet bar. Self serve full Breakfast was included in the stay and was convenient. The room rate was reasonable with my Automobile Club discount, entire staff was friendly and worked out nicely for a day of sightseeing in Annapolis. I would stay here again and recommend this Springhill Suites for business or pleasure. read more

While this property was absolutely fantastic, it wasn't problem free (as few properties are). The outdoor areas, lobby, pool, fitness center, and other common areas were also excellent, though the breakfast left a lot to be desired. The customer service here was absolutely fantastic, literally no complaints about it. As for the rooms, security was excellent with a deadbolt, latch lock, and RFID key lock. The living room was nice with comfy furniture, a nice desk, and a rather nice kitchenette. The bedroom area itself was fantastic with a nice window and closet. The beds however, while clean, were not exactly comfortable and the HVAC, while it worked well, was a bit rickety. The bathroom was very nice but the shower was kinda beat up. Overall though, despite the minor issues, I'm still very fond of this property. read more

The hotel crew are polite and bend over backwards to take care of you. We were staying as a party of eight and needed two adjoining rooms. The person we spoke to when we booked the room was great but someone they didn't give us adjoining rooms. The front desk gentleman was great at hooking things up to make it right. The rooms were fresh smelling and clean. PAUL MITCHELL hair products in bathroom. Phone by the toilet, just in case you run out of toilet paper. Don't smoke in elevator or there is a 25 dollar fine. This SpringHill location is certainly becoming one of my favorite hotels when traveling to Annapolis. It is located within a small business park corridor off of the main road and across the street from the Residence Inn. Plenty of parking around the property, and I felt very safe in parking my luxury car here. No complaints whatsoever on the room. All SpringHill Suites properties have that distinctive nouveau sort of design to it, and this property is no exception. The gym and pool areas were sufficient, and the lobby area was large enough to host a local children's art festival event that easily had 60-70 people within the room. The breakfast was quite good with at least 4-5 hot items to choose from. If I had one complaint, it was that there was a large party of middle school children that was up at all hours of the night during my last night's stay. I had to call downstairs twice to the front desk to indicate that there was too much noise at 12:30 and 1:30 AM. While the front desk agent was very professional, he seemed to be limited in what he could do. I had an early morning departure at 5AM and never was able to get any sleep due to the children running up and down the halls screaming, even with chaperones camped outside in the hallways. This was probably my only negative viewpoint of my stay here. Nonetheless, I'm willing to give it another try. read more

Had a great stay here recently. Cozy room design with wonderful lighting (I'm no electrician but I think it's called recessed lighting?). I love how the TV can swivel to the bedroom area OR the couch/desk area. I might be an oddball, but I like when the sink/mirror area is outside the bathroom, and that was the case with this room. The whole hotel felt very clean. Walkable to a drugstore and a couple of restaurants, which was a plus for me! Would definitely stay here again! read more

Reserved a room 2 weeks ago with a king bed. Check in is at 3 pm and we came at 5. The associate at the desk said although we reserved a room she had to look for a room. She found one with double beds-not what we reserved and being charged for. She said there was no management on site but that she would tell her manager Monday??? Once again a really great stay! Been back twice last year! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great... especially if you are there for some quality Maryland Crabs! (Mikes crab house is literally a hop skip and a jump away!!) Pst... We have also tried out the Spring hills by the water and the one in Hanover... and we have come RIGHT BACK to this one! :) Have recommended this hotel to friends and they enjoyed themselves as well. I had a wonderful two-night stay with my family at the SpringHill Suites during the Labor Day weekend. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and cooperative. We were able to check in 3 hours early and check out 2 hours late. They offer a very nice complimentary breakfast buffet until around 10 AM everyday as well as complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day. They also gave us a $14 credit towards any snacks/drinks they had available for sale AND a free movie of our choice! Parking and Wifi is also FREE. I would say you need a car to get to downtown Annapolis, which is a very short drive away. One last perk: they give out free lollipops in the hotel lobby (yes, I'm still a kid at heart!). To top it all off, when I realized that I had left my camera battery and its charger plugged in one of the outlets in our room, I called them and they couldn't have been more cooperative about it. Not only were they friendly with me over the phone after I asked them to look for it, but they found it and mailed it out to me within 2 days. I wish all my experiences at hotels would be as positive as this one! read more

I'm staying at the SpringHill Suites in Annapolis while in town for training. The hotel rooms are very clean and the rooms are well appointed. The Internet works fairly well, although it is giving me problems accessing my company's VPN. The complimentary breakfast is actually pretty good and their coffee is good. For the hotel along it's a 4-star place. However, there are a couple of items that have really been annoying me all week. First, the room layout was obviously over thought leaving far too much wasted and unusable space. The layout just doesn't leave enough room to effectively utilizing the living room and desk area. Every time I roll the chair back from the desk I'm slamming into the chair. Had they skipped the stupid angled walls on the entries and bathroom they could've flipped the kitchen and really opened up the office. Instead they left plenty of usable space in the hallway. Second, and even more annoying, they put the thermostat directly above the TV. Why is that a problem you ask? Well the TV puts off plenty of heat and the result of that is even though it's colder than a witches titty outside the A/C keeps coming on because the heat off the TV is making the T-stat think it's hotter in here than it really is. So now I get to decide, watch TV or be warm. That's costing them a point. read more

We stayed here for one night, and really enjoyed so much about the hotel. First, it is new-ish and you can tell they work hard at maintaining the property. Our king jacuzzi suite was spacious and quiet despite what looked like a full hotel. My husband travels a lot for business and declared the breakfast here as the best he'd had at a hotel. They have a huge variety of items, and included thoughtful touches such as walnuts, raisins and whipped cream for toppings on the waffles. Six choices of cereal, eggs, sausage, bagels, danish, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt and more. The staff was very gracious when they found out we were celebrating an anniversary, and made the trip memorable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Just stayed here last night. The AAA price is what got me to book. We got the king room. Overall very pleased with our stay. The man helping us to check in was very friendly and check in was easy. The lobby area was small but very nice. We had a room on the 3rd floor, the room was a decent size and very clean. That's the first thing I look for at a hotel is cleanliness and I was very pleased. This is probably one of the better, reasonably priced hotels in Annapolis. Typical SpringHill suites... Comfortable 2 rooms where the flat screen tv flips around to face the sitting area or the bed area. Little bar area with microwave and small fridge. Rooms are clean, windows open a little, breakfast buffet, friendly staff, nice hotel parking lot which is well lit at night...I stay here each visit to the area and I am always pleased. It is not luxurious but it is not the Ritz either. But it all works well for a nice stay. I like that it is close to shopping and lots of restaurant choices. (too far to walk to tho). read more

Spring hill has been great. The included breakfast is my favorite part to date. Blueberry and refusal pancake batter to make your own. Eggs and sausage. 6 or 8 types of cereal. Oatmeal with half a dozen toppings. 6 or 8 types of bread, bagels, and pastries. Apple and Orange juice. 4 kinds of coffee. For the relatively inexpensive price tag on this hotel, the breakfast buffet is pretty stellar. The hotel is located near any amenity you could want. There's a nice liquor store and a Whole Foods around the corner. Downtown is less than 15 minutes away. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There isn't the polish of a higher end hotel but you shouldn't expect that here anyway. Rooms are perfect. Nothing special but spacious and totally adequate. I like the second sink setup outside the bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. No signs of dirt or any gross hotel filth anywhere. Bathroom is pretty huge and the showers are great! Definitely put this hotel at the top of your list if you're staying around Annapolis. read more

Pro: comfortable bed, good linens, clean. Cons: local company picking up dumpsters at 0430 woke me up, two tear internet, slower internet is free. Must pay for high speed internet. For good Netflix or face timing the wife or kids. Why in 2016 is there lodge net ??? The majority of available television choices are not Shown in HD to include several of the major cable news outlets such as CNN or CNN headline news. Remote control guide button will not bring up the television guide and "previous ch." button doesn't work. And last there is no charging station for iPad or phone on my side of the bed. Small detail but annoying. If I could give 2.5stars I would. I just convinced myself to check out and go to the Hampton Inn. read more

Such a nice hotel! We stayed here back in May for our wedding and they even let us use their meeting room for our rehearsal due to the weather as our venue wasn't very accommodating. I'm writing this review after speaking with various levels of management about my concerns with my stay here and I don't write reviews lightly. In fact, I rarely do. However, this stay has been most disappointing especially since I am a native Annapolitan and am visiting my family from beautiful Southern California here over the Holidays and out of concern for exentuating health concerns for my Father and Mother. I checked in on Dec. 24 and my current checkout date is Jan. 22 so without doubt, I am an extended stay customer and YES was granted their long term rate once I checked in and expressed my intention to stay for longer. However, tonight I experienced an untennable situation and was met by Management, a phone call to my room, after complaing numerous times to the front desk workers. Steven Merchant, General Manger of SpringHill Suites, Annapolis, MD called my room to discuss my complaint. My complaint was that a family of Mother, Dad and several children had been in the Jacuzzi/Pool area for more than two hours and I wanted to enjoy the Jacuzzi in peace and serenity. It was well after 8p.m. and I didn't think this was an unreasonable request due to the signs they have posted about their policies and procedures regarding jacuzzi usage in particular. The children were yelling and having fun! which I completely support, but after two hours it's time to give it a rest and let other guests enjoy some peace and serenity time. I signed on for an extended stay at this hotel for almost a month. However, when I spoke with Steven Merchant that did not seem to matter that I was spending thousands of dollars to stay at their location for a month and was not able to enjoy all of their advertised amenities and frankly, what I was paying to stay there. He was completely UNACCOMODATING and when I said that I would be checking out as soon as I could find another superior place to stay ... he actually asked if he could make his front desk staff aware that I would be checking out tomorrow, Jan. 6. I minced no words in telling him I would check out and make the Front Desk aware of it once I had secured another "real Hotel" in Annapolis. I have stayed in Hotels all over the world! and I have never been treated so poorly by any establishment as I have in my own home town of Annapolis! This is pathetic customer service and I will NEVER stay at another SpringHill Suites establishment and probably another Marriott establishment even though I am a Marriott Rewards Member. This is by far the worst travel experience I've ever experienced. Very, very sad that Marriott has chosen to have this man, Steven Merchant, respresent them in Annapolis, MD and to handle this situation the way he and they have. I will be passing on this experience with this Marriott property to everyone I know. That is not a threat ... but here in the great United States of America we have something called the First Amendment and I will be speaking my truth about this in every venue available to me. Yes! Nice clean large room with sitting area, fridge, microwave, and two sinks (one bathroom oriented and one "bar" oriented). Beds are not very firm and in fact sagged a bit in the middle, but were comfortable. Pool is tiny.... that's definitely meant for kids. FREE hot breakfast was a nice perk and included eggs, sausage, breads, cereals, fruit, coffee, and more... and was tasty - not some bland stuff to just fill someone up. Only issue I had was that you could hear the children in the room above me running around. In a hotel, I expect not to have to hear other guests through the walls/ceiling. I would stay here again if the price was right and hope that my neighbors weren't loud. read more

I stayed here for my 21st birthday and I have to say I was honestly blown away. The jacuzzi suite was so bomb and my night was honestly filled with relaxation. The free breakfast was extremely delicious with many options and vegan alternatives. I have so much many more positive things to say, to but this overall my experience was wonderful. read more

We went here for a quick anniversary get-a-way for our anniversary b/c of a groupon or living social deal. The staff was pleasant, the room was nice (we upgraded to the one with the jacuzzi for only $20 which made the trip worth it.) The only thing was the t.v. was small for a t.v. that was supposed to be seen in both the living area and the bedroom. Microwave and refrigerator in our room was also a plus. Booked jacuzzi suite a month in advance. 30 minutes prior to check in, I received an email stating that i cannot be accommodated for the suite. The hotel gave me a regular suite and said i would receive $20 off the original price (that i never received). When asking the front desk receptionist why i was not informed weeks or even days prior to the issue.. she replied with "unforeseen circumstances" and stated that apparently Marriot sold a suite that they didn't have which makes no sense and has never happened to me before after staying with several of Marriott's hotels. she said that the other people who were sold the room checked in first and indicated that they gave it to someone else. Very unprofessional. The television was a little wacky.. but overall the room was fine. Managers are only available in the morning and never answer numbers provided on business cards. read more
