I went for my 6-month visit to the Springfield office. I only attended that office when my dentist was visiting that location. So, when I learned it would be Dr. Ho's permanent location, I chose to follow him instead of going to the Lorton office that is closer to my home. I chose to follow Dr. Ho, because in this day and age, having a sense of community goes far beyond location for me. And, I get the community with Dr. Ho's interest in his patients and his professionalism in his care. The office staff is professional and KIND. And the office environment is clean and updated. I came in as a new patient and will not be returning. Despite having full X-rays completed at my primary dentist just yesterday, this office insisted on taking a new set. When I questioned the necessity of paying for the same diagnostic images twice, the staff tried to "reassure" me by saying insurance covers them at 100%. This is incredibly misleading; even if covered, it still deducts from my annual insurance allotment, leaving less coverage for actual dental work later in the year. It felt like a blatant attempt to maximize billing rather than provide efficient patient care. Because of this lack of transparency and respect for my time and benefits, I have also canceled my daughter's upcoming appointment as well. I'll be taking our business to a practice that values integrity over redundant procedures. Lost 2 patients in less than 5 mins, and had the chance to win over a family of 7. Update: If anyone has been following my journey it has been 7 years since my last post. I just got a full set of X-rays done and no cavities and no fillings since our time at Springfield Lorton Dental. We don't live in the area anymore so maybe things are better now, but if I had 2 fillings and 3 more cavities to fix 8 years ago I'm betting I should have a cavity by now. They have known me since i was a kid in elementary school when my family was military. We just moved from SHAPE in 1996. Life happened. Over, the years I got married and move to california. It been almost 8 years since I seen them. I just moved back since my husband military. My first time seeing them the two ladies up front were " Taliah, is that you ? " I knew I was home again with Springfield Lorton dental. I've had so many memories here. They really treat you like family. Even when it's been forever little things they do for you unexpectedly like the pic below makes your day . Their office is warm, loving and filled with wonderful personalities and giving hearts. If they treated me well as kid. They treat you, your families, children amazing on the experience. They love watching each one grow over time. Promise, this is the one place they never miss anyone name. Thank you to all the staff that makes us feel special, loved, and taking care of us when we need you the most. We left this dental group after 13 years because we do not trust the front office staff. My husband and I had to take turns taking the 3 kids to appointments since they only have hours from 7:30-3 when we both work. On multiple occasions their front office staff would say to one of us "your husband agreed to get this retainer for your daughter on her last visit so you now owe x amount". This is for a retainer we don't even own!! No my husband never agreed to anything. They said the same thing to my husband when he went in today. "Your wife agreed to this retainer last time so you owe x amount". It's like they get a commission or something. Why would we agree to a certain retainer before we even had the appointment With the orthodontist to know which retainer we wanted?? Once we let my 17 year old daughter go in alone. They told me at the next appointment they had no retainer scans because my daughter "forgot" her retainer last time. 5 minutes later when my daughter said "but you did scan me last time and I did have my retainer" their story changed. "Oh yes the scans must have been misplaced" they said. Dentists and Orthodontists are great!! Front office staff has been horrible for the past two years and we finally could not take it anymore. Dr Roseman recommended replacement of my existing filling with "new and better" composite. After over an hour of him beating the hell out of my gums and one tooth, I got a single new composite filling. Apparently he drilled and dug too deep. Now my formerly healthy tooth hurts like hell, with the new composite filling. ... and ... I'm being evaluated for a root canal!!! Because he took away too much healthy tooth for what was only a cosmetic recommendation. My Tooth Hurts!!! read more

Had an appointment for a night guard. I called as per protocol when I pulled up. I guess I called the wrong office, but the receptionist said she'd check me in or alert the correct office that I was ready. 25 min later, nothing. I called the Springfield office and they were never told I was waiting. They got me checked-in right away, and the rest of the appointment went well. Upon check-out they wanted to charge me approximately $30 more than originally quoted. We worked that out as well. Received Starbucks gift card for inconvenience. read more

I was super happy with the Springfield office on Backlick, they made me comfortable, when we all know that everyone is on edge because of covid! Hands down, Awesome office! I had not been to the dentist since Jan 2020. I was worried to go back due to Covid. I just went back and I am so happy with the care i received at my appointment. My hygienist, Cindy, was amazing and took my worries away and explained protocol and measures they have taken due to Covid. My teeth feel so clean! Dr Traboulsi is awesome! I have officially been a patient for 6 months after switching away from another (terrible) dental practice. My hygienist (Caitlin) is awesome. So friendly and funny and extremely professional. The whole experience start to finish is just fun. Dr. Rosenman has a great personality and is also very professional. Everyone in the office is always happy to see you, always in a great mood, and everyone has a great sense of humor. So in other words: if you are a negative Nancy, you probably won't like this office. But if you wish going to the dentist was just more fun, this is your spot. The office has a bunch of cool technology for cleanings that makes everything fast and highly efficient... they are super generous with the goodie bag (toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash, toothpaste...) and scheduling was super easy. I originally tried this office at the recommendation of a die-hard Rosenman fan, and quickly realized why his patients are so loyal and so hardcore. I had hesitations for choosing this group as my dental practice when I was warned by a friend about their rigidity, but since it was convenient to my home and had Saturday appointments - I was willing to give it a shot. BIG mistake. After having been a patient of theirs for 2 years, and having been disappointed at the customer service and overall quality of the dental cleaning at every turn - I continued to remain a patient of theirs for convenience. Once, during my cleaning - the hygienist was done cleaning in 25 minutes and surfed the Internet for rest of the time while I waited for a dentist to see me. I've never had a cleaning done in 25 minutes. I requested not have her again. Another example from the past : I fell ill with a fever the night before and tried to cancel my appointment the morning of and I was told that either I come or I still had to pay the cancellation fee - so for that appointment I came anyway. I feel bad for the patients in the waiting room as I sat there coughing and sneezing during flu season. The final straw: as a human being - I completely forgot that I had an appointment this Saturday at 11. I called them at 1123 after I realized I had missed it, being 5 minutes away- to apologize and see if they could still take me or to reschedule. I understand as someone who is in healthcare that a late patient is not an ideal patient - but people make mistakes and forget. I was told that not only did I owe a $50 missed appointment fee (which is fine - I don't mind paying that) - but I would NEVER be allowed to ever book another Saturday or evening appointment ever again. It is their office policy. I asked them to check my record - since I have never missed or been late for an appointment in the past - and they were dismissive and told me that was the policy which I signed (and apparently should've memorized 2 years ago). I asked to speak to the office manager and was denied and simply was informed that I signed the policy. I informed them that they just lost a customer. Additionally, their billing staff lacks follow through. They were having problems with reimbursement from my dental insurance. They called me on a Friday to notify of the issue, and I told them I would immediately call United Concordia to follow up on reimbursement. When I spoke to my insurance company, they said they had processed the claim recently and it wouldn't be an issue. The Dental billing office told me at the end of the conversation that they would call me back on Monday or Tuesday to follow up, and they never did - I only heard that the issue was unresolved when I called concerning my missed Saturday appointment. While I was willing to look past the other annoyances - being told that I am never allowed to make a Saturday or evening appointment again because of one mistake in an otherwise perfect attendance track record was the final straw. Not only have they have lost a customer, I will also be spreading to all my co-workers and friends who were considering them that the Springfield Lorton Dental Group is to be avoided at all costs. As someone who works in a surgery center, we frequently have patients who miss or are late for appointments for big surgeries. We do not put them on a no fly list for missing their surgery once, much less for being late/missing a dental cleaning!! Groups like this are what tarnishes the reputation of customer service and empathy in healthcare. It makes me sad that they are willing lose customers over "policy" without being willing to take into account the person and the situation. Their loss. read more

They are professional and take very good care of their patients, the entire staff from the women working the front desk to the dental assistants to Dr.Ho are all incredibly helpful and thoughtful putting the patients first. Dr. Ho is an awesome dentist who makes the dentist ( something that is obviously not anyone's favorite) enjoyable or at least the very least sucky the dentist can be! This is now the third time I've come to this office, always early in the morning. That's usually a time when people are light on conversation. But I have been extremely happy with all of the staff there. My dentist Dr Khoury has been nothing short of welcoming, professional, while always engages in a great conversation. I have unfortunately been very disappointed with Springfield Lorton Dental Group and would not recommend them. Be very careful about billing with them because they are unwilling to compromise and look for a fair solution even when they are at fault (for example, they had verbally told me that my insurance would cover a procedure, and then when that wasn't the case, they charged me the full amount for a procedure I didn't even want). Also, rather than being friendly and trying to work out a solution, they threatened to turn my account over to collections. They literally gave me an ultimatum and said if I didn't pay within the next two minutes, they would turn my account over to collections. In all my life, I have never had such an experience with a medical or dental provider. What is disappointing is that I had been a good patient and had even recommended friends to their practice. I am disappointed to see that this is how they treat loyal patients, especially during the holiday season. I would no longer recommend this practice, but if you do decide to become a patient, please be VERY careful about billing, because they will gouge you and treat you unfairly. I felt like I was dealing with a loan shark, not my neighborhood dentist. read more

I was a patient of Springfield Lorton Dental Group for a little more than a year and I have nothing positive to say about my experiences there. When I first went there for my initial checkup and cleaning, the dental hygienist asked me if I had ever had sleep apnea. When I told her I think I do, she tried to sell me on going to a company they work with to have it checked out. From that point on, I kept receiving calls from the company to set up an appointment to have a sleep study done. On another visit, they tried to sell me on having an alignment done to my teeth at a cost of over $6000.00. I think they are more interested in selling their clients products and services then they care about their customers. This is where the real nightmare begins. I had a cleaning that was so painful that it actually brought tears to my eyes. During the same visit, she noticed a discolored tooth so she had me see a dentist in the office who was not my primary dentist at the time. They took x-rays and he did some testing on the tooth and the teeth around the tooth by applying something cold. Afterwards, he determined I needed a root canal. I then set up an appointment for the root canal. The next day while eating lunch (nothing hard mind you, just a piece of meat), I bit down and heard a crack and had some pain in the area of the discolored tooth. My tooth had cracked but did not completely break off. I went in that day and they took x-rays and indeed the tooth had broken. I was devastated as this is a tooth in the front of my mouth. I don't believe in coincidences but I do believe in cause-and-effect. I believe that whatever they did the day prior caused the tooth to break. They took out the broken piece and did impressions for a partial denture (flipper) as a temporary fix. They ended up recommending I have a dental implant done. After the impression was done, the dentist glued in the broken piece and made an appointment for me the next day at an oral surgeon. I believe this was a friend of his since his wife works in the same building as the oral surgeon. I believe this to be bad business practice. I was never quoted a price before beginning this process, but I guess it was my fault for not asking. I was charged just short of $500 for the flipper and more costs to come for the dental implant. The next day I met the dentist over at the oral surgeon as he wanted to observe the surgery. He told me he was planning on learning so he could do this kind of work in the future. The surgery went well and I literally had no pain at all. The oral surgeon (Dr. Coviello) was outstanding and did a great job. I had to wait a couple of months for the implant to bond with the bone before I could have the crown put on the implant. I waited more than enough time and made another appointment with the oral surgeon to confirm I was ready for the new crown. He gave me the thumbs up so I made an appointment with the dentist to put on the new crown. I was excited to finally get my crown after living with the flipper for a couple of months. While at the dentist and prior to having the crown put on, the dental assistant was told to remove the cap on the implant, which is put on by the oral surgeon after the surgery. When she tried to do this, I had some pain in the implant area and I told her about the pain but she kept trying to remove the cap. She then went to get the dentist and he looked at the implant. I saw the concern on his face as he told me I needed to go back to the oral surgeon. They made me an emergency appointment at the oral surgeon. The oral surgeon told me the dental implant had come loose. I needed to get another implant done. I am now devastated for a second time. According to him, the dental assistant was turning the cap the wrong way and he said he would never ever have let a dental assistant remove this cap. The dentist should have done it himself. And even worse, I was in the process of moving from Virginia to California so I would not be able to get another implant done at this time. Luckily, the oral surgeon refunded me most of my money for the implant even though it was not his fault. However, I still had to pay for the tooth extraction and the bone graph portion of the oral surgery. The oral surgery was about $2600 and I got a little over $1900 back. So now I am out a total of $500 for the flipper and $700 for the oral surgery because of the incompetence of a dentist and a dental assistant. I never even received an apology or anything instead I got a $2000 bill from the dentist office for the crown I never received. Finally after some checking, they did wave the $2000 bill. Now an update from California. After moving to California, my flipper I paid about $500 for broke. I had to get another flipper as I cannot afford a dental implant at this time. I found a place that offers same day service for dentures. I got a new flipper that looks much better in quality and the best part, I only paid $395 for it. read more

Dr. Rosenman drilled a bridge for me, walking out of the office without putting enough bonding on it. It was brazenly deliberate. On my second visit, the same thing happened. Even on my third and 4th visit. On the 5th visit after the hygienist saw me, she pointed out to Dr. Rosenman that bonding was needed on one of the teeth. This goes on and on, ad nauseum. It is no wonder Blue Cross and other insurers have dropped all payments for all bonding on January 1, 2017. And it is why dental offices and dental insurance has skyrocketed, due to men like Dr. Rosenman. read more
