I haven't played this course in probably 20 plus years. It's probably in the same shape now as it was then. I played one of my best rounds there. The course is in OK shape. Nothing spectacular as far as memorable holes. The greens were in pretty good shape outside of the fact that many golfer don't repair their ball marks. During COVID many courses are getting booked and charging higher prices. This one was $44 which is high for the type of county course. They practice social distancing only allowing 1 group inside the "pro shop" at a time for payment. The kitchen appeared to be closed when we were there. They take credit cards. There aren't any ball washes on the course. This course is very walkable. Better course for the money than the last course I reviewed which was also close by. read more

I played this course for the first time in over a year. I was impressed with the changes they have made. most of the tee boxes were re-sodded. there was grass in the fairways where there used to be clovers. they cleared out trees and cleaned up around the creek and ponds. I hope they continue to improve the conditions. Great improvement from years ago. read more

I've been a local here all my life, I have no idea who management is, but whoever works the desk on the weekend evening needs a talking to about customer service. We had a foursome, but due to last minute home troubles with two of the guys, they were unable to come. I understand the 24 hour cancellation policy, however I've never experienced an issue with getting the refund for players unable to come at any other place, especially when this place had plenty of time slots, which was easily seen from the lack of players on the course. I would have let it go had my father not been disrespected by the worker there who made a remark about his hat. I'm not one to stir up anything, but I've continually seen poor customer service here and it's frustrating considering the course isn't well maintained and the very unfriendly and often times rude staff make it more difficult to justify giving them any business. If you're a local, please go to Ramblewood or Mercer Oaks. If you're not a local, please go elsewhere as well. read more

Took our family mini golfing to the Springfield Golf Center today. Chip n putt looked clean from a distance. But don't be fooled like we were on the mini golf course pics on their website. The mini golf course is quite obviously their last priority. If I could rate the mini golf course zero stars, I would. It is very poorly kept up, parts are falling apart in some areas, overgrown plants throughout, weeds in the rock beds, wood chips all over the greens and don't even get me started on the stagnant water pools in multiple places please see pics attached read more

Absolute worst golf course I've ever been too. You can't tell the fairway from the rough. Grass is absurdly high in fairway and if the grass isn't high it's because there is no grass it's just concrete dirt. My most enjoyable moment was the hotdog. read more

Talk about a hole in one! This place has it all in one place - mini golf, chip and putt, 18-hole course, and a driving range. We came around 10:30am to play 18 on the full course which was the perfect time for us as beginners so no one would be waiting for us. It's really affordable - $35 for 18 with a cart - as a beginner I don't want to break the bank to get some practice in. As for the course, you get what you pay for. The greens are well kept and the fairways are wide. There are a few sand traps and water hazards - but it seems like most of the water dried up. It's a fun, quick course especially for beginners - I will definitely return! read more

Me and my buddies played at Springfield Golf Center for a very reasonable rate. For about 14$ we were able to enjoy 18 holes on a nice golf day. The course was easy and straightforward. Each fairway offered plenty of room for a rookie shank or nice on. The grounds and maintenance were decent. We didn't have the best experience with the staff because we ended up playing a bit into the evening. They didn't offer any leniency. I would return to SGC because of the low price. read more

My rating is actually somewhere between 2 and 3 stars because although this is probably the worst "big boy" course I've played, its still a decent course and good for hackers like me. But, first things first. This place is a one stop shop of golf. There is mini golf, a driving range, and chip and putt course, and a full 18 hole course. I had been a few times to go to the chip and putt course, but just recently played the full 18. The chip and putt course is pretty bad. Its cool to just pitch and putt and its well manicured, but the greens are absolutely TERRIBLE. Weeds, holes, ant hills, mud, bugs, old chevy engine parts.....ok, I may have made that last one up, but the rest are true. The greens are so bad, we actually wouldn't even putt on some of them, as the cups were full of swamp water and mosquito larvae. So, a few days ago, my friend and I went to play on the 18 hole course. It was $34 each for greens fees, cart and lunch (more on THAT bullshit later). We set out and IMMEDIATELY were disappointed because, since there are no tee times required, we saw that there was a foursome, a twosome, and another twosome that was WALKING, still waiting to tee off on the first hole. We literally had to wait about 35-40 minutes just to START and spent most of our day waiting for the people ahead of us. It took us about 5 hours to finish our 18 holes. Ugh. As far as the course, its WIDE and good for people like me with wicked slices on some of our drives, BUT....the greens on the course are almost as bad as the greens on the chip and putt course. I play at a public municipal township course for half the price that has better greens than this course. They are FULL of ball marks, which no one bothers to fix because its also full of dead grass and mud. I can totally understand shitty chip and putt greens, but to have greens that bad on your COURSE is just sad. SO, after wasting most of the day waiting for people SOMEHOW worse than us at golf to play, we went to redeem our "lunch" that came with the price. We waited to eat because we THOUGHT it was only going to be a few hours and we could grab a quick bite after golfing. But, by the time we were finished, our only options were old hotdogs and a bag of chips. You can't even get a beer without a $3 application and a 3 day waiting period. No, SERIOUSLY. Ugh. I don't know if I'll be going back here. Its a good place to hone your long shot and short game, since its such a wide fairway, but a terrible place to practice your putts and for the price, there are better places. read more

Don't play there Played 5-25-18 (Friday) Website States $23 so we decided to try it - We get there $34 a piece with cart .. Ok not a big deal .. Tee'd off at 10:55 am .. Yes we are low handicapped golfers.. ( Ranger told us 2 - foursomes were slowing down play ahead of us ) ok - we thought - figured they would tell them to speed up or let ppl play through .. Nope they don't do anything like that .. 3 hours it took to play 9 holes of golf .. We go into the pro shop to complain to NO prevail .. Not to mention that there greenskeepers don't stop mowing the center of the fairways as you are teeing off ( waited 5 minutes to have him stop in the middle of the fairway so we could tee off .. luckily I drove the ball over him ) The greens are so slow and the fairways are like playing in your backyard.. Unless you want to spend 8 hours trying to get 18 holes in for a price that you can play a really nice golf course, don't bother going there .. read more

I've played here a handful of times. It's great. They have everything a golfer could want. Staff and players are typically nice and friendly. The course is short which I prefer since I'm still new to golf. The rates are pretty cheap considering others in the area. For such a cheap course I think it is very well maintained. Greens look a lot nicer than most courses I've been to. I will continue to come back. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Forget the course (it's terrible by the way) that's short, poorly kept and perpetually a mud slide. The people here are just ignorant and abrasive. They let the elderly members run the place, meaning they'll push your tee times, let people skip you, ignore you while you're at the counter, and give overall crap service. Easily the least professional golf establishment I've ever been at. It's cheap, but somehow even spending 30 bucks for 18 holes here is an entire rip off. Do not waste your time, spend the extra 10 and go to rancocas golf club if you're looking to actually play the game. Screw this place read more

terrible course. short, choppy and poorly taken care of, and the course gets flooded every other day. when it gets flooded the back 9 is closed, forcing you to play the front twice along with every other tee time so you have to wait 20 minutes between holes. not worth it read more

Loyal customer for 20 years. Know the staff well. 1 mile from my home. This past Sunday I was lied to and treated like a fourth class citizen. The insult was so unbelievable that I will not repeat it. But I will NEVER spend another dime here. And, I will adamantly convince others to do the same. I'm sorry it came to this. Essentially, closing the course early (w/o) the owners knowledge is common here. And if your round of golf will get in the way of that they will refuse to let you play. read more

This place oh brother I guess I gotta lay into this place. Didn't think I'd ever find myself mad online but then I booked a tee time at this "golf" course. Why I'm writing this is for many reasons, the first and main would be playing a 4 man outing at a solid pace of barely 2 hours with no one behind us and found ourselves confronted by a henchman doing the bidding of his "bossman". He said to us that we were playing too slow and we'd be kicked out if we didn't accelerate our game. Didn't know this was possible to get kicked out for playing the game of golf the right way. If you see one man on a cart steer clear because it is the bossman's henchman out to antagonize you to play quicker. When driving your cart be prepared to go through what feels like off-roading on an atv. The cart path looks like a WWII mine field that has been set off several times. After weaving thru the mortar crates you have to go over bridges of just 2x4s over a dirty swamp. When using the bathroom I was waiting for Jayson vorhees to come in and accompany me. The bathroom was so dark and dingy and smelled like a philly subway. When teeing off good luck finding a spot that didn't look like it was dugout for trench warfare in Nam. If you can find a spot good luck avoiding the surrounding shooters who are so close they could lick your ear. I found myself ducking several times from hearing "Four" it felt like I was out in a battlefield dodging arrows. If you can come out of these 18 holes with clean clubs or a sense of happiness and accomplishment God bless you because this is a place of hopelessness and forsaken. read more

Must have the same AstroTurf for last 30 years. Used to go there when I was young, now I took my kids and its exactly the same. Almost slipped on the slimy/moldy turf. Broken cement. It is the Camden of mini golf. Driving range is ok. They have a bar inside though!!! Oh wait you need to be a member to drink. Ok, it's only $3 to be a member!! If you want to play during the week and are like a 18 handicap or worse than play here. During the weekend forget it. $44 for morning tee times and this course is a goat track. Unmowed tee boxes, terrible greens, grass clippings in piles all over the fairway. I don't know how they can look customers in the face and charge $44 for a round here. The guy working the pro shop is nice but doesn't know anything about golf it seems. Showed up at 615, said they were booked with tee times, ok I should have booked a tee time. I asked to play 9 and he said start in the front after I asked if I could start on the back. Went to the first tee and 4 groups behind me. I decided to head to the back 9, didn't see a single person the whole round. Common sense would be helpful at the front desk. read more

I have been playing golf now for 5 years and this has been the worst place I have ever been too. The old man at the front desk was a pompous jerk with no people skills. It seemed as if they (management) did not want people to even play there. The course it self was a joke. Greens were terrible, fairways and rough seemed to be one in the same. For the price they change you are better off paying the 5-10 dollars more to go to another course. I have played on pitch and putt courses that were nicer. I would never come back to this place and wouldn't recommend it at all. Unless you like bad over priced golf courses with miserable people running it. read more
