But the overall course wasn't in bad shape for the weather conditions we've had recently. Last fall when I was visiting I didn't have my clubs, so rented a set from the clubhouse...definitely wasn't expecting a "top of the line" clubs, but definitely wasn't expecting to get "third world country" rejects for $25 /day rentals. And that is what I received, a complete mix match set to make due. Overlooking the fact of the clubs, I had a day of enjoying time with my son playing a round of golf for his birthday. So, yesterday he returned the favor and we played 9 for my birthday. But yesterday I used a set from his friend--which was better that using the house clubs--the 3 of us got the 9 rounds in as it got dark. The course should be in better shape once Spring kicks in.

Several hills making some par 4 holes blind and par 3 holes challenging. The layout is nice, but unfortunately there are many times golfers trade fairways based on poor shots. Women have a nice advantage of having the tee boxes in the less hazardous areas. On the par 5's such as the first hole, the ladies tees are quite a bit forward. Overall the fairways and greens were in great shape. The staff was very friendly including the starter who was also very organized and helpful.

I have been golfing for approx 8 years. My game has been very inconsistent and having had very little formal coaching, I felt it was time to get help. Mike is very firm with his lessons, alot like the military he will break you down and built you back up. Mike started with my grip, then stance, ball position (no wise cracks) shaft position, alignment etc. I have seen a tremendous improvement in the accuracy of my shot, my swing is now smooth and fluid. Unfortunately with groupon I am only allowed to buy redeem one groupon or I would have scheduled again. I plan on working through a few of my weaknesses on the range and course but I will definitely go back for another few lessons. The range itself is too notch. The stalls are in excellent condition, the mats look new. There is an area to hit off grass. The bucket prices are reasonable. The pro shop is equipped with balls, gloves and grips for regripping I also think you can purchase new clubs and get fitted. I definitely recommend this location for all golfers.

I enjoy taking lessons from him, whether he's straightening out a bad habit or developing my game in general. I find his lessons to be simple and effective, plus he's easy-going and fun. I've probably taken 10-12 1/2 hour lessons over the years. Sometimes he give me 30 minutes, but on several occasions (when he's not under the gun to get to another lesson) he's given me considerably extra time. The range is nice also. Out on Route 68 it is nice and quiet. The mats are in good shape and the balls are in good shape as well.
