Greens have very few flat areas. Pins are in tough spots. Golf is getting expensive. I bought a season card for $39 which gives me a discount Monday-Friday. Regular weekday rates are $65.00. They have senior and military rates. Lederach purchased new carts last year. They have an area to hit balls and a large putting green. They service drinks and food at Leddy's Pub. You might want to try the Big BLT..it's good. Enjoy your game and have a good round.

Maybe they are closed but website says they are open. Their lack of answering calls and caused me to not play there very frequently.

The fairways are fast , the ball rolls after the shot lands , in the past the greens were overwatered and soft. The rough is thick but not too high so it is penalizing but not unplayable like the past.It used to be challenging to even find your ball in the rough , now you'll find it and you can play it but it won't be easy to hit. The course is hard enough and it's so much more playable with shorter rough. It definitely speeds up the round not looking for balls in the rough all day. The course was In impeccable condition even though we just experienced a heat wave. A member told me about the new greens keeper and conditions and he was spot on! The course is so much better this year than in the past , if you get the opportunity to play it , do it!

This is a great , top notch public golf course right across the river on the Jersey side. I have…read moreplayed here a few times and every time I play I like it more. There are quite a few memorable holes including 16 and 18. The course is in excellent condition and very close to private course conditions, if you didn't know it was public you may not notice. They just added a new clubhouse which was desperately needed and it is very nice. The course was windy and it is very hilly and seems to be shaped with the natural contours of the land. It is very playable and if you drive well you can score. The greens aren't overly undulating but some of the pubs can be tough to get too. It is very accessible to eastern Pennsylvania and closer then many courses I play in the area. I look forward to getting to know the course better and yesterday I pared the 18th hole which made me very happy , last time 18 won!

For the first time ever I golfed at Bensalem and found the numerous trees to be annoying there. Makefield has zero trees. Lots of sand traps however. Many of the sand traps have small amounts of sand...makes it easier to get the ball out. In fact I use an iron or even rescue club to get out of the bunkers. A few of the ponds have gotten my balls...it happens. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. After golf we enjoy the club house with indoor and outdoor deck seating. However, they raised their prices of alcohol and food...rediculous! $15 for small vodka martini. Totally outrageous for what is served. Bummer. Reservations are a must as it is a popular local course. I had my best game ever today!

It is unbelievably terrible this year so far and I don't even think they have mowed the grass area yet. Unfortunately this is the closest range to my home so I frequent a few times a week. I may have to drive a bit and start using Freddy hill , which is much better for those that hit off of grass. June 2018 update: they started mowing the grass , and there is grass, on the natural range. Much better then last year!
