I am completely impressed with my experience at this location. We all know that in the service industry it's the people that make the experience great not so much the location. I am so glad I went to the MontgomeryVille Golf Galaxy to get my new clubs. The representative who fitted me was fantastic. I never felt rushed and his knowledge of club fitting and the golf swing were incredibly helpful to me. A shout out to my buddy DH who recommended that I go and specifically ask for Josh. Snapped the head of a pre owned driver I bought same day...came into the store upset and confused. I believe it was the general sales manager, Wayne (I think was his name) explained why it happened and provided me with a new shaft within five minutes. No bs just good service and value. Only my 3rd time there but always a good experience. read more

Golf Galaxy.... More like overpaid amateur pro shop wannabes. I brought in a Scotty Cameron putter head that I had been working on as a little project and simply was looking for a shaft for it. When greeted the first question I was asked about it was " Is this even a real Scotty Cameron?" And the rude comments did not stop there. I while trying to explain, to the older gentleman, this was a project and I was simply trying to find a putter Head that I could creatively make work through trial and error. He was reluctant to even sell me a simple putter shaft. He finished off my visit by telling me that my putter would make a better paper weight than putter. He also stated I would simply miss every putt. Maybe instead of the associates at this golf galaxy hanging out in the hitting bays and hitting golf balls and working on their golf game. They should spend more time working on their customer service. Not an uncommon thing to happen at this store as my friend was in earlier in the week and experienced a similar take on one of his clubs he needed help with where the associate refused to sell him a shaft without seeing the head in person first. Update: Played my first round after building my putter. Pared the first hole by sinking a 12 footer. Guess my "fake putter / paper weight" is working just fine. If the the golf galaxy employee that sold me the shaft wants a putting lesson feel free to hit me up. read more

I have always been impressed with this store and the staff. Most of the employees seem like golfers and they know what they are talking about. Last week I had my entire set of golf clubs stolen from my car and of courses I immediately went to GG. The staff was compassionate and helped me review the clubs. Bought some online and got fitted today. Will be going back to test out new drivers and may even get fitted for a new putter. read more

Herman did a fantastic job with my club fitting. He was thorough and patient through out the process. Herman had an in-depth knowledge of club design and swing dynamics. He also explained the mechanics of the adjustments he suggested. Finally, his pointers on swing and grip during the fitting was as valuable as any lesson I have had. I would highly recommend doing a club fitting with Herman if you are shopping for clubs. Also there was no pressure during the entire process. read more

Incompetent staff. Went for a driver fitting and had to pay 99$, which was assured to be refunded as long as I bought a driver, which I did. At register, instead of giving me discount, he charged me fully and assured that I would be refunded, which of course, I wasn't. Called store again and they refused refund. waste of money, horrible place read more

I had 3 club fittings with Steve D...so far. The most honest sales person ever. Got such good instruction and recommendations. He spent so much time with me. I need 2 hybrids and a 3 wood so I stopped by Golf Galaxy. Someone greeted me on the way in. I walked around the club section for 7 minutes and no one approached me so I left. Mind you the store had only one customer in the range and 3 employees hanging around a cash register. They were nice enough to say goodbye which I appreciated. Oh well. read more

terrible experience at golf galaxy, i have been going to golf galaxy for some time now and i have never really liked the experience i have every time. the managers are never very polite and don't have proper manners for a business, i shouldn't have to be writing this as a kid in high school that plays golf but as i was being helped by an employee hitting a club i asked a question about the options of a club (flex) i asked do you have this in stiff flex because i was hitting xstiff which didn't feel quite right. the employee proceeded to ask the manager do we have this in a stiff flex and he responded with i don't think so, that club is for good golfers only whilst i was standing right there, i get it i'm a kid but i had the money ready to buy it and i was going to until he made that comment. very rude for a business especially a manager. read more

The selection is great, and their prices are low. In my personal experience, the staff walking around the store are kind of unfriendly, and make me feel like they wish I wasn't there. If they smiled and were friendlier, I would buy more! read more

Got my wife's clubs here - she's a beginner. The sales personnel could not have been more helpful - they're awesome. They also knew a lot about the local courses and driving ranges. The prices beat Dick's too. They also offer lessons which she signed up for. The golf pro, Kevin, is so helpful and friendly. He has some funny stories to tell also. As a side business, they buy used clubs and sell them. read more

After my yelp complaint and an email to their service department, golf galaxy got my clubs to me within 24 hours. I was also assured there would be some work in the way they answer their phones. Kudos golf galaxy, faith restored. read more

Don't make the mistake of trading your old clubs in as give you nothing for them. They wanted to give me $10 for my Ping G10 driver and 4 wood which was a unacceptable. If they told you to bring your own vaseline I would have been more prepared. I will never shop or recommend this golf chain to anyone. If you call them they tell you you'll get top dollar, right. read more

I am very disappointed in golf galaxy. I came in on a Sat. to have a few clubs regripped and planned on waiting since it was only 1pm. The gentleman told me to come the next day to pick them up. When I told him I was planning on golfing the next day his reply was come in at 8:30 am they will be done. The store isn't opened until 10. When he said he couldnt do them today I thought it was because he had so many others to do. It wasn't. It was so he could go stand around in the front of the store and fraternize with the other employees. What's up with the work ethic here? read more
