Not only was I able to find the perfect gift for my granddaughter, but the owner, Rich, helped us negotiate the area since we were unfamiliar with it. Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, great stuff and it was nice to be able to actually see and handle the merchandise rather than buying stuff over the internet. The gift was a hit so now I know we will be making another trip down so my granddaughter can do her own shopping!

Small cute shop crammed with stuff, in a good way, good stuff. Alfred the owner was really great showing me wetsuits and answering lots of questions very well, plus we had some other great conversation about the outer banks. I really liked the last wetsuit I put on and bought it without checking the price online or anything because I didn't care at that point and wanted to support him and his shop whatever if its a few more dollars. Checked later online and it was $10 more online than I paid at Sunrise! Thanks Alfred! It only took about 20-30 minutes to select the parts and build, and it ended up being an experience for our son as opposed to just picking out a gift. The shop is organized with board options, but also clothing, accessories, shoes, etc and cool artwork. The highlight though was Mike - he was kind, helpful, spoke directly to our son through the process, and answered all of our silly questions. The shop offers lessons. And we felt the pricing to be very fair.

The place is very close ti the intersection of Eagle & Darby roads, across from Grace Chapel. With its bright green sign, it's very easy to find. We parked in a metered lot - 25 cents for 30 minutes - and walked the 1/4 block to the shop. Inside it's filled with a nice selection of everything a skateboarder needs from boards to wheels. Super nice and friendly guy had the bearings, and also lubricated his existing set so they rolled freely again. They had gotten wet and one had rusted. We bought an extra set of bearings for future use. Great little store, we'll be back.

Those wheels they had in stock cool let's get those. 15 minutes later I get another email that the bearings I ordered they do not keep in stock either at this point no thanx refund please.

Then the employee halfway through replacing them with worse generic although working bearings, said that they wouldn't be free, would cost 15$, and that he wouldn't switch them for the bones reds I wanted. After that I left and I tried it out for 3 seconds on their floor, however changed my mind and went back for the reds. Then the employee said that they didn't accept returns because I rode on it. TLDR services terrible.
