He needed a set of new bearings as one of his wheels was grinding. 3 Way Street was recommended, so we headed over there. The place is very close ti the intersection of Eagle & Darby roads, across from Grace Chapel. With its bright green sign, it's very easy to find. We parked in a metered lot - 25 cents for 30 minutes - and walked the 1/4 block to the shop. Inside it's filled with a nice selection of everything a skateboarder needs from boards to wheels. Super nice and friendly guy had the bearings, and also lubricated his existing set so they rolled freely again. They had gotten wet and one had rusted. We bought an extra set of bearings for future use. Great little store, we'll be back.

The salesperson who gave us the price clarification blamed customers for moving all the boxes. Then I went to buy a weighted vest from a shelf with three of the same weighted vests. The shelf read $14.99. I check out, they charge me $43. When the cashier wanted clarification from the supervisor about the price discrepancy and wanted him to honor the shelf price, the supervisor once again blamed customers. I walked back to the shelf to find the supervisor removing the shelf tag and blaming customers once again. Last time I shop there.

Purchased a Horizon T101 Treadmill and got the "No Sweat Protection Plan" thinking that I wouldn't…read morehave to worry if anything went wrong with my treadmill. Paid for delivery and installation. It took them one month to deliver the product. The delivery people were nice and they assembled the treadmill quickly and removed the box. They left. I got on the treadmill and 40 seconds later, it stopped working. Dick's didn't want to replace it, they wanted me to contact the manufacturer. I asked for a manager. Finally, they replaced it with another T101. Less than three months later, I hear a loud banging noise. This time, I contact the No Sweat Protection Plan through their website. They required all this information. Even the cashier number. It was hard to decypher becuase the receipt had faded, but finally I got them all the information they needed. I was expecting someone to come and fix the thing. After all, why else would I pay $250 for the protection plan. They process my claim and then they inform me that my Horizon T101 is still covered by the manufacturer. They gave me an 800 number. I called on a Friday, they were closed. I called on the following Tuesday and was on hold for 45 minutes. I ended up hanging up before I could speak with anyone. Long story short, almost $1,000 in the hole with no treadmill, I just purchased a better model from Best Buy because they have a service where their Geek Squad will come to the house and fix the treadmill on the spot. I'm paying $100 to have my new Horizon T101 hauled away and thrown in the garbage where it belongs.

Super nice guy and accommodating. This was one of the last boards left on the planet for the model I was looking for. Went out of his way to offer a signature upon delivery. When it showed up, you could tell they took extra precautions with packing materials to make sure the board wasn't damaged in transit all the way to California. Absolutely stoked on it. We took my son to Fairman's this week to pick out a skateboard for his 6th birthday. I wasn't sure…read morewhat to expect given I have zero knowledge of skateboarding, so I was blown away with the experience - Mike, who I later found out was also the owner, patiently educated all of us and helped our son build a skateboard! It only took about 20-30 minutes to select the parts and build, and it ended up being an experience for our son as opposed to just picking out a gift. The shop is organized with board options, but also clothing, accessories, shoes, etc and cool artwork. The highlight though was Mike - he was kind, helpful, spoke directly to our son through the process, and answered all of our silly questions. The shop offers lessons. And we felt the pricing to be very fair.

The perfect summary of what makes them so cool though is that the first time they included some free bearings and socks (awesome), and then the second time, they noticed that I really like a certain company and included socks and hardware from that company (seriously awesome).
