Just left Dick's Sporting Goods in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The same knee brace had mismarked shelf prices from $41-$79. The salesperson who gave us the price clarification blamed customers for moving all the boxes. Then I went to buy a weighted vest from a shelf with three of the same weighted vests. The shelf read $14.99. I check out, they charge me $43. When the cashier wanted clarification from the supervisor about the price discrepancy and wanted him to honor the shelf price, the supervisor once again blamed customers. I walked back to the shelf to find the supervisor removing the shelf tag and blaming customers once again. Last time I shop there. read more

Purchased a Horizon T101 Treadmill and got the "No Sweat Protection Plan" thinking that I wouldn't have to worry if anything went wrong with my treadmill. Paid for delivery and installation. It took them one month to deliver the product. The delivery people were nice and they assembled the treadmill quickly and removed the box. They left. I got on the treadmill and 40 seconds later, it stopped working. Dick's didn't want to replace it, they wanted me to contact the manufacturer. I asked for a manager. Finally, they replaced it with another T101. Less than three months later, I hear a loud banging noise. This time, I contact the No Sweat Protection Plan through their website. They required all this information. Even the cashier number. It was hard to decypher becuase the receipt had faded, but finally I got them all the information they needed. I was expecting someone to come and fix the thing. After all, why else would I pay $250 for the protection plan. They process my claim and then they inform me that my Horizon T101 is still covered by the manufacturer. They gave me an 800 number. I called on a Friday, they were closed. I called on the following Tuesday and was on hold for 45 minutes. I ended up hanging up before I could speak with anyone. Long story short, almost $1,000 in the hole with no treadmill, I just purchased a better model from Best Buy because they have a service where their Geek Squad will come to the house and fix the treadmill on the spot. I'm paying $100 to have my new Horizon T101 hauled away and thrown in the garbage where it belongs. read more

Terrible customer service - by Dick's as a business in general. Essentially revoked a small $100 donation due to expiration & told me "lesson learned." I was given a gift card donation for a charity event supporting the Special Olympics in which the winner of the gift card donation was unable to use the gift card before it expired. (First off - a donation expiring?) We went to this location and then was on the phone with customer service for over an hour and waited almost a month before having to reach out again to hear an update on them reissuing the gift card to the charity event winner. Their reply: "sorry - there's nothing we can do. You either use it or lose it. That's just how it is." Hard to believe there was absolutely nothing that could be done to whatsoever and clearly there is no real concern or support for the charity or those who participated. Really disappointed with a corporation of this size and scale essentially taking back their initial support/donation. Will not be supporting them in return any time soon. read more

Visited this Dick's today and the woman in line in front of me tried using that Dick's fake coupon, you know which one I'm talking about. The one where you get 25% off of anything EXCEPT Nike, New Balance, Adidas, Puma, Diamond Back, Easton, Titleist, Asics, Brooks, Timberland, Taylor Made and anything else they sell. She was using her rewards card that basically does nothing, expect track your purchases so they can figure out how to sell you more high priced stuff. I agree with other reviewers, it is the Walmart of sporting goods. Unfortunately they have the market cornered and know it and don't care. Cut service and charge the highest prices. This store is no different than ANY other 1 star experience you will have at ANY Dick's. read more

Terrible. I waited in line for half an hour on a Monday afternoon. The cashier who was also the manager was unresponsive when I tried to make friendly conversation and just walked away in the middle of ringing me up. I also witnessed a lady come in and ask for a certain product. She was immediately told they didn't carry it, but the item she was looking for was right next to me. Prices are reasonable on some items (apparel) and waaaaaay to expensive on others (shoes). Usually well-staffed, and the employees aren't over aggressive. Nice selection of clubs and accessories in the golf area. Probably a better selection of outdoor gear at Cabela's. read more

Was at this store on February 8th. The checkout clerk continued to talk with other store employees while I stood there and waited to pay for my merchandise which by the way was overpriced. I should have walked out but I did not have the time to go to another store to purchase the same merchandise. Will never go back. read more

Cheap quality items at a premium price. With how much gas is today it is no longer a minor inconvenience to return a poorly made item.

Terribly slow service. They take forever to check you out. Waited close to 30 mins with only 2 people infront of me. This has happened multiple times now at this location. Avoid this store if you can, especially if your in a rush. read more

My son and I went shopping for my softball league and for his baseball league. They didn't have either of our sizes for cleats, sold out of red belts, not my size in batting gloves, and not his size in pants. The few items we did find were very pricey for the low quality. We rang the bell for about 15 minutes until someone finally opened a dressing room for us. Any questions we had, the staff was very unhelpful or had zero knowledge on the gear or the sport. We then waited in like for about 20-25 minutes to buy our handful of items. So needless to say, the entire experience was a disaster. read more

Horrible service will not shop here anymore. Have been saying this for years but last trip was the final straw. Employees standing around, took forever to get help in shoes. Went to check out and I as the customer had to ask "how are you doing today." Cashier just stood there. Finally went to use a Dick's coupon and was hassled. Every time I use a coupon they act like they don't want to honor their own coupon. Left a $200 sale on the counter and went home and ordered everything on Amazon. Won't be back and will spread the word. Have a sports family, they lost a lot more than just this sale. read more
