This is a great , top notch public golf course right across the river on the Jersey side. I have played here a few times and every time I play I like it more. There are quite a few memorable holes including 16 and 18. The course is in excellent condition and very close to private course conditions, if you didn't know it was public you may not notice. They just added a new clubhouse which was desperately needed and it is very nice. The course was windy and it is very hilly and seems to be shaped with the natural contours of the land. It is very playable and if you drive well you can score. The greens aren't overly undulating but some of the pubs can be tough to get too. It is very accessible to eastern Pennsylvania and closer then many courses I play in the area. I look forward to getting to know the course better and yesterday I pared the 18th hole which made me very happy , last time 18 won! read more

The people at the course and clubhousexare fantastic. We just had our son's wedding reversal dinner there a few weeks ago and these folks bent over backwards. Erica and Jamie are 1st class. This is a hidden gem in the area. People come from all around to play and do events here. So glad the place is thriving and live spending time there. read more

Great track. Especially for a muni. Plenty long from the tips (7k+) and plenty challenging from the whites or blues. Keep it straight or be punished. They let the rough grow long. Greens are in terrific shape (again, with the "for a muni" caveat). People could do more to repair their ball marks. The course has a few quirks that create a few back ups during play, but each time i've been out, I've made it around in less than 4:30. Not bad for weekend mornings (I really want to shoot out for a mid-week round to take advantage of lower cost tee times and to see how quickly I can shoot around). Nice practice area: the driving range is grass tees during the summer months. Putting green is large. No short game practice facility, however. Great rates for locals, probably less great for out-of-county residents. read more

Today I decided to try to play a little Golf! So I called the Pro shop at the Golf course! They advised me they had an open tee time with a threesome for a Single player! I took it! I arrived about 30 minutes early! I was greeted by Ryan one of the assistant Golf Pro's! I paid and I was sent out to get my Golf cart! I used to be a golf professional myself! The place is very clean! I played with 3 great guys they even assisted me on direction on the golf course! We played 9 holes in just under 2 hours! So we made great time! After we were done I went inside the Cafe I was greeted by Jamie! She is very pleasant and got me my bottle of water! The small area she works in is very clean! They have Pepsi products in bottles Only! They do have a small bar area as I showed in the video and pictures! The Golf course is a links course! They have 5 different tee boxes from black's,blue's,white's,gold,red. This evening it is now about 4 pm now and I am seeing there is some of the High School students arriving to play! I spoke with Erica she is one of the managers here! She is very pleasant and is willing to help all of the customers that are here! They do have outings here! She has a lot of knowledge of the area and after kind of over hearing her setting up for someone setting up An outing she wants the outings to be a huge success! She even was giving suggestion of places that can enhance the outing! The greens are in great shape and so are the fairways! The do have a Military rate here so please all Active Duty and Veterans just ask for it! I would highly recommend this golf course to everyone! They take great pride in the course and it is in great shape for this time of the year! I have added a few pictures up there so please check them out! My husband plays golf at Heron Glen usually twice a week weather permitting and loves it! I visited for the first time this week to enjoy a birthday lunch with my husband & daughter in the new clubhouse... The restaurant and bar look great overlooking the beautiful rolling course! There are some tables outside, with a fireplace for warmth on cooler days, perfect for eating out and watching the golfers come up to the 18th green. The menu was nice with some unique appes, sandwiches and meals... something for every palate. Our meals came with excellent presentation and taste! The home made potato chips were delicious, crispy and still warm! The speciality cocktail of the day was very tasty! Dottie, our waitress, was friendly, attentive, caring and always had a smile on her face! All in all it was a wonderful experience! We are going to go back for dinner soon... read more

A great municipal track located only 25 minutes from my house. Super friendly staff, well maintained, very challenging and an easy course to walk This is a course you need to play a few times to understand the nuances, i.e. blind shots, lay-up/bail-out areas, pin locations, etc... It would be nice if they built a permanent clubhouse; however seeing it's run by the county, not sure we'll ever see one built. Can't wait to play it again! read more

The golf course itself is in great shape. Greens are in great shape and putts role true. Fairways are in great shape, and the course layout demands that you make accurate shots otherwise you'll pay with shots coming from the long, raspy rough. Back nine offers three par 3's and three par 5's with is a layout I enjoy. The course also has a short par 4 allowing for the long hitters to take a shot at the green.This course also offers a driving range and practice green facility to warm up prior to rounds. Clubhouse is below average, but if you're just going to play golf this will never factor into your experience. The only knock I have on this facility is for the price. It would have been nice to play with just me and my friend; however, they did pair us up with another two some that happened to be employees of the course. Would have liked to see better judgement out of the starter, and for them to make employees play when paying customers are not out there. Would recommend this course to your average player, but hackers may find this course intimidating and difficult. read more

PGA quality fairways great greens, if you are an avid golfer worth a trip for sure. If you go for the first time, try to get somebody with local knowledge in your group, as there are many blind shots, and you won't know where to look for your ball. A great layout and would go back again. Try to use golf now, Course is walkable if you like to walk as I do. read more

Played on 11-4-2015 and the course was in very good condition for that time of year but was very disappointed with the price. Green fees were $45.00 and that was for seniors, entirely too much for November. Just because it was a nice warm day, I felt the course was really taking advantage of everyone. I actually play this course 5 times a summer and travel from Pa but next summer it will maybe be once and that goes for my three companions. Plenty of courses in Pa that give seniors free lunch with the $30 to $35 senior rate. Regardless of condition of course most seniors will not be taken advantage of. read more

This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Beautiful and fun course. I didn't appreciate getting yelled at to "hurry up" by the players behind us on Memorial Day Weekend when we were right on schedule and some of the staff wasn't much nicer. I'm sure I will come back because I love the course itself, but I have to admit we were made to feel pretty unwelcome at times here -- a shame considering its not cheap for non residents. read more
