They have mini-golf and batting cages available, and I would definitely try that on a future visit. They stay open pretty late, especially on Fridays, so I'd totally try it again. Just not a good experience…read more This place acts like it's some elite country club, when it isn't, that doesn't like people playing golf on their...golf course. It's a nice course, challenging, well-kept. Staff was just rude all around and clearly don't like their jobs that interact with people. Ranger told us to hurry up and apparently gave us an unprofessional response when we were on pace to play 5 holes in an hour. His reasoning was that there was an empty hole in front of us. I didn't hear it all but my friends seemed annoyed at him. We WERE playing on pace. The cart girl either messed up the math or took her own tip out of my cash. She told me one price but then gave me less change. Needless to say I didn't tip her well. The lesson is that you either need to do better math or be honest with your customers. After the round in the parking lot, the ranger asked me if I was done with my golf cart when I was unloading it into my car. I told him that there is probably stuff left in it, aka, I need to double check and please leave me alone for a minute until I'm done. The guy checked my cart, said something that I couldn't hear, and took my cart anyway. I have no idea if it was empty or not. I at least had my wallet, cell phone and keys, but don't know about golf balls and stuff. Like, why the hurry and why can't you respect the fact that I need to check my cart?! We went inside to see about getting some food. We asked if there was anything available outside, because it has an outdoor patio on the 18th green. I would think many people would want to sit out there. The hostess said there weren't any tables. Oh wait, there is 1 4-top. We would've been fine with it even though we had 5. She wouldn't let us and sat us inside with loud music and horrible acoustics. You had to scream across the table to communicate. We asked the waitress if we could sit outside and she said no with an attitude saying "we're really busy tonight." We looked around and there were a decent amount of empty tables and more than 1 outside that they could've put together for us. We continued to sit inside, which sucked. They served us soda and water in plastic cups. When it came time for a refill, the waitress took all our cups back so she could fill them back up, instead of getting new ones. I was drinking the rest of mine when she was collecting the cups, she waited for a sec so she could take mine, but then realized it so she said "I'll just get you a new one". She was moving so fast she had a one-track mind. Just not great service. The menu said that they don't have cheesesteaks on Friday's and Saturday's (or something like that). Odd. Menu also said it had "free-flowing pizza". We had no idea what that meant so we asked her. Apparently that means that when the pizza is cooked, that's when you get it regardless of where you are at in the meal. Weird. My friend ordered it...they didn't have any. So no pizza on the menu?! What bar doesn't have pizza when pizza is on the menu? We all ordered individual sandwiches: fried chicken sandwich, Landis Ave cutlet sandwich, salmon sandwich. All were good, fries were good. The waitress wanted to clear our table so she did, regardless if we weren't finished. My friend had to grab a handful of fries because he saw that she was going to take it away. She comes back and puts down the check saying, "no rush". We laughed because she clearly was rushing us and could care less about us. Restaurant was mainly middle aged couples in their 40s-50s, not very good looking. My friend was here before and there were swingers at the bar holding each other's wives' asses. Strange place. Just a rude, weird place that didn't make you feel welcome. What a shame. Do better, staff!

Of all the terms people would use to describe me, "gym rat" is absolutely not one of them. I have…read morenever been someone who would spend hours in the gym "working out". So when FDC gave me a gift for 4 sessions with Perfect Workout, I went with a fair amount of skepticism. Why? Because the program is 1:1 training, with a goal of muscle 'failure' within 2 minutes on any exercise, total of 20 minutes workout 1-2 times a week. How could that possibly make a difference? Still, I went, way back in February, and I've been going ever since. Here's what I love: It is absolutely 20 minutes, no kidding. It's a seriously difficult workout for those 20 minutes. Training is 1:1. There are only two trainers and two people being trained at any time. The trainers are experts. Just because I am not a 'gym rat' does not mean I have never trained or 'worked out'. The difference is that the trainer is paying very close attention to my form, making tiny adjustments that mean I'm using muscles in ways I have never had to before. I learned that I had bad habits, the biggest of which was engaging my shoulders in place of other muscles such as my pectorals or biceps. The 20 minutes, no lie, they are HARD minutes. Everything hurts. By the end my legs feel like jello and my arms like lead. The results are worth it: I'm stronger, though I'll never be a bodybuilder, and I'm stronger in places I have never been before in my entire 56 year life. It's pretty cool. Perfect Workout is not cheap. You can train less expensively many other places. Those trainers may or may not be as good, and you don't really know better until you've trained better. The other thing I love is that my training with Kristi is highly personalized and a dialogue. Sometimes she will think my muscle is at fail, and I know it's not, so I push it. Other times I slip into an old habit and she corrects it right away. It's quite productive. It's been 10 months since I started, and I am still committed and look forward to my workout. For me, it's 100% worth the expense as I'm getting far more out of each session than I ever have before.
