She decided to fatten me up by putting a fabricated number on my license and it annoys me (A LOT). She put in a weight that is more than I have never been even at my very heaviest. For the next 8 years I am going to feel some resentment every time I look at that dang license. I would probably give 5 stars for review if not for this. It annoys me. I told her that my weight had not changed much and she went ahead on her own and added 10 pounds. Did she think I was lying? She can contact my doctor's office if she wants but she should not just invent a number.

I called the local number and…read morethe polite and professional lady on the other end said I could come in as a walk-in and scan the QR code. (No ticket pulling at the center booth.) She explained the new process of the QR code and waiting to be called to a window. From the time I scanned the QR code at 3:12, to the time I was at the window was quicker than the 4 minutes on the sheet. Granted, I intentionally chose 3 pm because I know most people are scrambling to pick up the kids after school, and it's outside of the lunch hour or the end of the workday. Sita helped me at counter #5 and took care of me so quickly, even with the eye exam with the viewfinder machine. By 3:18, I was on line by the photo area. 3 people ahead of me and I was photo finished by 3:22 pm. The most efficient 10 minutes I've ever spent at a Revenue Office DMV. I asked if the new system was helpful for the staff, and they said that it was. You can see that for yourself, if you get there at 3 pm. I'll never go first thing in the morning before work, because that's what everyone else does. Definitely don't go there during lunch hours, either. I'm glad the new system worked out for me. Must be my karma.

I've lived in a bunch of states, so I've experienced a lot of mostly horribly run DMVs with angry, miserable, zombie workers. There is nothing fancy here, in fact, it's a rather plain office in a somewhat rundown area. But what makes it good is the great staff. Since I have to come in here every year, the 6-8 times I've been in have all been, well pleasant. The staff is patient, friendly, and fast. They up, look you in the face, smile, and treat you like a person. I guess that's all most of us want. Now could someone explain why MO requires you to pay property taxes on top of all the fees every year? Most states only charge a sales tax once and registration fees every year after that. No property taxes, its not a house!

I would hate to be the girl that only started recently and doesn't know how to do very many things. She tries her best to help as much as she can, though. There's one woman in there who was super knowledgeable and remembered my wife from a few days ago. She remembered details about us from all the hundreds people she's seen between then and now. Really exemplary staff. They need more people and some better resources. I sure do appreciate their efforts though.
