If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is an absolute joke. DO NOT waste your time!!!!! I took my car up there needing a fuel tank replacement. The charge was gonna be over $1,200 I said not for a damn fuel tank it's not that much they dropped it down to $800 still way too much. The man Brian then proceeded to tell me the part was shipped out and will be there the following week... 2 weeks later I get a call saying the item is out of stock and that the only one they can find is over $1,500. How was it out of stock if you said it had already been shipped and will be there the following week... WASTE OF TIME. I wish I had read the other reviews before going up there, seems like they try to rob you out of your money because of the area we live in. Nice people and good location if you live in a Prospect - but you pay for convenience. I've spent several thousand dollars there in the last 4 years - but took a car to them this week and afternoon $95 for diagnostics they wanted another $95-150 to fully diagnose it (1-1.5 more hours). I proposed that we spend an hour to replace two sensors (which I believe are the problem) - but they didn't want to. The dealer commits to diagnose an issue for $95 / many country shops won't charge that. Last $95 I plan to give them. read more

My family & friends have been going to Springdale since the original location but that is now changing. They estimated me $1100 to replace my car batteries and I would have shopped around but it was urgent, so I went ahead. The next day, my car was completely dead. I called Springdale and told them, "I think one of the batteries is a lemon. It likely needs to be swapped.". Mind you, it was still under warranty, so should have been no problem. They looked at it again and said that the batteries were probably fine and they just needed to clean off the wires. I asked if they were sure, and they were SO rude to me and said their batteries aren't bad. Springdale told me that if it happens again, it's probaby electric and would cost me a lot of money for them to confirm that. I drove my car to Nashville from there where it died again. I spent more money taking my car to more shops and told them all that Springdale said the battery was fine, so it must be electric. FINALLY, I asked the third shop to double check the batteries while they checked the electric and I was right from the start - the battery was a lemon. I've tried to connect with the Springdale manager Corey to update him and help rectify the situation but they have completely ghosted me. read more

My import car flashed a message for an oil change. Rather than travel the distance to the dealer, I went to Springdale (much closer). Cost was not a factor, just convenience. The bill was reasonable, but they said my brake pads were 'thin.' I figured I'd go to the dealer for brakes. They took several hours to work up a quote, and said Springdale put "too much oil" in my car. They wanted to drain the oil and refill (for $532). They wanted $2,200 for new pads (the rotors could stay on for a bit longer), and recommended a new battery (down to 60%, they want 80%). I went back to Springdale. They put my car on a lift, removed the oil filter and emptied it, put the filter back on, all good (and no charge). They gave me new pads AND rotors for $2,200 I drove the car to FL and back with no problems and the car runs great. I'm done being bent over the table by the dealership. Then my wife got a letter from the manufacturer telling her it was time for a 40,000 mile service. She took her car (same make, newer model) to Springdale with the manual so they would know what was involved. Springdale did a CarFax check and pointed out the dealer performed a 40,000 mile service a year ago (at only 32,000 miles!) for $1,400. Why they did that, I have no idea. All she needed was an oil change ($132). And I just know the #%$@! dealer would have been happy to do another 40,000 mile service this year. I'm not mentioning the maker of our imports, just to be on the safe side. read more

Brandie is amazing! The entire shop rocks. I have a 2009 Jeep Commander with 140k miles on it, that unfortunately I have been emotionally attached to since I got it. This Repair shop understood that, gave me a detailed quote for everything needed and rated them as critical vs maintenance. No other shop had ever taken that kind of time (Goodyear, Big O, Ken Towery). I have finally found a repair shop that I can trust, and funny enough it is the exact same location as Frieberts whom I trusted explicitly with my 1st car (1976 Fiat X19)- which Fiat stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow. I took my 66 Mustang to them because I couldn't get my brake hard lines fixed correctly. They were courteous and knowledgeable. They also fixed a few minor issues (tightening bolts etc) that we're on the house to make sure I was safe driving the car. I had concerns about some of the work and they diligently and professionally handled all issues. Some of the needed work they were not comfortable performing, and instead of doing sub-standard work, they consulted with me and recommended specialists. I much prefer this over just giving it a shot and hoping for the best. Good auto shop. read more

Clearly out in this part of town you do not have any need for common sense or intelligence. This business just attempted to charge me $3500 for brakes on a car that is nine years old. It is not a luxury vehicle in anyway. After looking at the breakdown of parts versus labor, they were charging me $431 an hour for labor. Maybe this was a typo maybe not. Maybe they were just relying on the multi millionaires that live in the mansions of the east end to just throw down their credit card and not have to worry about it. After I went into the shop and advise them of what my exact budget was they literally tripled it. Horrible way to do business as well as on occasion through negotiation and conversation the rep Matt seem to have a problem with maintaining a professional tone. I have a zero tolerance policy for any business that attempts to defraud me. And just so it's known I did my research and I am going directly to a dealership of the brand of vehicle that I drive and my total cost for the exact same work to be done with $1628. Here I was thinking that this was an honest business based on the reviews. I think what makes this business have such high reviews are people that just throw their card down and pay whatever not realizing that they are gouging their customers violently. Someone should get a grip on this business and how they are charging people. Better Business Bureau report is my next step. I was able to drop my vehicle off the night before my appointment. They keep you informed every step of the way via text. I was also able to pay my invoice via my phone. I had been in the hospital for 5 weeks. needless to say my car a 2010 Honda Accord wouldn't start when I got out and got home. I called Springdale having heard the were reasonable and said I would have the car towed up there (as AAA said they couldn't get it started) Long story short it was a total rip OFF. $983.00 to get my car started it was a dead battery and a $19.00 blown fuse! Without advanced notice they charged me $178.80 for no start condition (heck if it would start I wouldn't have taken it there to begin with) just to take it there then they charged me $255.20 for a battery BUT they charged me $125.16 to install the battery!! Anyone familiar with a Honda knows all you do is lift it up sit it in the spot put 4 screws to hold in place and attach 2 cables When questioned about the charge they said it didn't matter how long it took its what the book said they should charge. On one of the most popular cars in the world (The Honda) they should know where the fuse box was to replace the fuse, They said they didn't so $298.00 additional charges to replace a $19.00 fuse TOTAL $274.60 Parts (Battery and a fuse.) and $601.96 Labor They did only have the car 1 day!! Oh yea so a partial day of labor was $601.96 I guess it's my fault for not checking it out BEFORE I GOT RIPPED OFF. My truck broke down next to the Springdale location in Prospect. The driver from AAA suggested to tow it over there as he tows a lot of vehicles there. Since it was Sunday, they were closed and we just left it out front and filled out the paperwork and put it in the mailbox. I called first thing in the morning (8am) and they said they would get it in and take a look. I mentioned that it may only be the Positive battery cable. Immediately after I got off of the phone I received a text saying they had my truck. At 9:30am I received a text saying that the technician was looking at it. I waited for a call and finally I called them back 3 HOURS (1:00PM) later to check the status. They said they were checking it out now. No response in the afternoon and I called at 5:30....they were closed. I called the next morning at 8:00am. They said it was the battery clamp on the end of the cable that connects to the post. But when they hooked it up, the starter was smoking therefore they unhooked it. They said it needed a new starter. I asked how much the bill was for the work they had completed on replacing the clamps. He said for the clamps, labor and "diagnostic check" it was $367.00!!!!! I questioned him that the whole process, couldn't have been more than 30 minutes and the bill should be closer to $100-$150. He refuted that. I told him to NOT do anything else I would have it towed to a repair shop that I use and trust. I have spoken to several friends and they ALL have had similar experiences with that company. read more

We live nearby this automotive repair business so it is convenient and we've used them sporadically over the years but it became more and more likely that each time we brought one of our cars in for service they called with a long, expensive list of "recommended" repairs. One of our cars had a nail in a tire. My husband found the nail, marked it, took the tire off himself and took it to Springdale to patch. He dropped if off at 8:00 a.m. and the tire wasn't ready for pick up until the next day and the charge was $66. $66 to patch a small nail puncture in a tire that was handed to them. Outrageous. Springdale offers great service. They are responsive and even have a loaner car to offer. They are pleasant on the phone and helpful, and I appreciate their extended warranty. Check their labor prices, however. Their fees included a $36.60 labor fee to pull out a cabin filter. It was $18.30 to replace a light bulb and $87.84 to replace spark plugs. Just be sure to get a detailed accounting before letting them do any work, and shop it around if you want to be sure of a deal. read more

Came in without an appointment on a Thursday afternoon to get a tire puncture repair and was immediately taken care of. Lyndsey greeted me and got my car right in while Rob took care of the task needed. Both gentleman were extremely helpful and courteous. Rob took the time to go over some check points on my car and highlighted a couple trouble areas. Lyndsey helped me with some questions I had as well as an estimate for a repair that I need to have done soon. I ended up getting done there in about an hour. I've gone to Ken Towery in the past, but after this positive experience will continue my auto needs at Springdale Automotive. read more

Had an alternator replaced less than 2 years ago for $650.00 and had to replace the same part yesterday by a reputable firm for $335.00. Last winter I was charged $318 to replace a $75.00 brake line, while they suggested $2200.00 in other repairs. Scam artists! read more

This place does nto deserve one star I should preface by saying, a week prior to going to Springdale for a flat tire, I got a diagnostic from other mechanic. My car was making a slight noise because I needed new A/C Compressor. A/C Compressor attached to Alternator belt which attaches to alternator and to starter) Car was starting perfectly fine before brought car in for a flat tire and car suspiciously would not start after mechanic was bringing it into the shop. I told Springdale about the AC/ Compressor. They insisted it was the starter. Left with an $800 bill, they said they fixed the supposed problem (Starter) and the car broke down a mile down the road. Brought car back they said they fixed the supposed problem (Alternator) left with a $600 bill and they said I needed a new A/C Compressor. The car broke down a mile down the road. Took the car to another mechanic, thought I had needless repairs done and was told the A/C Compressor was the source of the problem in the first place. Did not appreciate the service. Complained to business bureau, Springdale did not take admit responsibility for mistake of misdiagnosing car the first time. Springdale did not do anything in result of complaint except make excuses; I did not have evidence to prove other wise. I went back to Springdale and they agreed that the alternator they recently installed was a lemon. They installed a new alternator for free. To my surprise they were not going to charge me for their incompetence. Two years and 50 weeks after Springdale Automotive replaced my alternator for the second time in less than a month, my car died. I Did not go to Springdale, instead I went to Pep Boys. They told me my alternator was dead. I Called Springdale because there was a three year warranty on my alternator. They said my warranty expired because it dates back to when my first alternator was installed and not my second alternator which was currently installed in my car. What a crock! read more

Springdale tried to repair my A/C system. Spent 3 days in the shop, told me that my timing belt was shot and had to be replaced (additional cost), replaced every component in the AC system, final cost was higher than the dealer. The AC was now operated by a rigged radio shack switch that I had to turn on and off. I could go on but why bother. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! I was visiting family in the area when my car began gushing oil. Springdale was the closest garage, so I took it there for an estimate. They said I needed to replace the entire oil pump (an internal part), timing belt, and a number of other things. The estimated cost of the repair - $2000! Needless to say, I called a local dealer to compare their prices for the same work, and their mechanic literally LAUGHED when I told him Springdale's estimate. It turns out the oil pump didn't need to be replaced at all, but even if it had, the part is only $250 w/ 3 hours of labor (Springdale told me it would be "an entire day" of labor). It is also true that the timing belt might need to be replaced in some instances - if it is covered in oil (luckily it wasn't in this case) - but since it had to be removed to replace the oil pump anyhow, this would entail NO ADDITIONAL LABOR! So assuming the worst, I should have been looking at the $250 for the oil pump, $150 or so for the timing belt, plus 3 hours of labor. I ultimately got the necessary work done for well under $500!!!! read more
