Francine-- post mass removal surgery with Dr. Simpson
    Merissa G.

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with both of the vets and all of the staff here. I've only been in twice so far, but I'm already so impressed. The entire team is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about both pets and their humans. The veterinarians are thorough in their approach, taking the time to explain everything in detail and make sure all my questions are answered. The quality of care is outstanding, and you can tell they truly love what they do. My dog had a mass removal surgery there today. When I picked her up, she walked out alert and happily-- almost like nothing happened! On top of that, the office is clean, well-maintained, and has a cute, inviting atmosphere. I'm so glad I found them--my pack and I are in great hands here!

We've been taking our French Bulldogs here for the last four years, and we can't say enough good things about Dr. Simpson and his staff. Recently, I had to make the tough decision to put down my beloved dog Chloe, who was with me for 16 years. Chloe had never been seen at this office, but because our other dogs go here, they accepted us with open arms. From the very first call I made to inquire about these services, Dr. Simpson's staff was compassionate and trusted my decision. Every time I spoke to them over the phone, I could hear the sorrow in their voice for the decision I had to make. On the day we said goodbye, they had the room ready for us. They took care of all of the logistics beforehand since they knew it would be too hard afterwards. The vet who performed the procedure walked us through how it would go. Even after my girl was gone, she told us the next steps and stayed in the room with us. When the time came to pick up my girl's ashes, the receptionist who called said, "Miss Chloe is back with us and ready for pickup." The joy in her voice and the words she chose put a big smile on my face. After all, I was ready to bring Chloe back home. I didn't know what to expect with the after care process, but West Coast Pet Memorial (the company this office uses) left me speechless. The absolute professionalism and presentation of the package was beyond belief. For the lock of hair, they made sure to get a piece of her fur that included her brindle. It's the little details like that which make all of the difference. They even set aside some ashes for me in a separate bag so that I could scatter some of her in the garden to grow with the roses (a request I made to Dr. Simpson's office when we selected the urn). The decision to send my baby over the rainbow bridge was an awful one to make. However, the service and compassion provided by Dr. Simpson's office, his staff, and West Coast Pet Memorial brought comfort to me during one of the hardest times of my life.

Hands down Dr. Simpson is one of the best if not THE best Doctors I've met in 35+ years (that's what I can remember from an early age) owning animals. It's not about how fancy a place is or how many cars fit in a parking lot. What I find most appealing is a doctors oath, first do no harm. Beyond that Dr. Simpson has unwavering passion for helping animals, healing them or even having the courage to ease them into a more gentle afterlife. To be a doctor is to practice and no matter how many years one might have or in Dr. Simpson's case tireless hours (sometimes 16 + hour days dedicated to his clients) there is always going to be an element of unknowing because though Dr. Simpson is awesome he is not God. So for any negative reviews I'm sorry for any bad experience you have had and especially the one where you have been there 25 years that says something! What I can say to anyone is I happen to have had a very rare pup a hermaphrodite baby with a short palate. Several vet offices said to put him down (yes I got not one, not two, but five opinions because no one could diagnose the little guy). The ONE vet willing to take action to help this 9 ounce pup was Dr. Simpson. Even when Dr. Simpson was gone for a family wedding he arranged for one of his fellow veterinarians to help get medications for John, lifesaving meds. You would think a pup having been poked and probed and examined would hate the vet but John sees Dr. Simpson and like a spoiled little kid runs across the table and bites his pen, he wants attention. Not only is john 17+ pounds now he is probably one in a billion. Dr. Simpson had to custom surgically repair his boy/girl part to make a sheath. Talent as a Doctor is saying it mildly, kindness and willingness to help creatures is remarkable, love and dedication to his profession can only be summed up by saying God created an Angel, a gift to creatures in Dr. Simpson. His staff busts their bum to keep up too the phones never stop, clients line up for their turn. You won't be sold a bag of tricks here! I'm thankful to all of them for all the hard work and effort everyday!

    My bulldog pup!

The staff here is very kind and patient. Good customer service and empathy. The dr is very kept to himself but he knows his stuff. My bulldog was given eye meds and she is doing great! Thank you!

Dr Simpson is the best, met us at his office on a Sunday and let my daughter and I help w/c-section delivery. They all did amazing!

While I would recommend at least six months between grieving and taking on the work of a new puppy - we dove right in. We picked up our new puppy at nine weeks and he has been the best boy. This breeder told us her labs were more on the calmer side of labs, she wasn't kidding! Our first lab was hell on wheels for a good 9 years. Our Rocky is so chill, we still can't believe how easy going he is. He is kinda an "old soul" with an occasional zoomies moment here and there. He is such a sweetheart. People ask me often if we got a rescue. There's such a stigma with using breeders, we are often asked "did you rescue him?" I always answer, he rescued me.

She is so smart, has been super easy to train, is confident yet so sweet with our 8 year old female lab. Our past couple of labs have come from a breeder in the Prunedale, CA area. Unfortunately they both had various issues...one we had to re-home due to resource guarding issues, and our current one has had to have ACL surgery in both knees. Although she has been sweet, she has been a money pit. I concluded I could not get another lab from that breeder. We could not have found a better pup than Joy. She is beautiful, super smart, and has not had any medical issues. No ear infections, skin irritations, nothing! She is also very well socialize and not as nervous as our other Lab.

And we need to book another appointment and the only availability its a week from now ! How didn't even lift her ear to have a quick look while im there for vaccination!!! Really unprofessional and disrespectful. The vet and the employee was rude ! When I asked to print my dogs record since I will never go to place that dont care about my pets thay claim they cant print it , wich they did at the end ! All the team had attitude in our first visit and also at our 2nd visit . They also tried to give your pets unnecessary vaccination. Im definitely going to call to the vet board.
