** If you are a person with any underlying medical conditions, PLEASE consider reading my review before getting a massage at this place! ** I was on vacation out here (I'm from St. Louis) and decided I really wanted a Thai foot massage. I'm a student in a massage therapy program and have always been really interested in Eastern medicine, and had heard through locals that this area was perfect for just that. I chose Master Spa based on the awesome reviews since I don't know the area very well. Like others have mentioned, it's pretty basic, but that didn't really phase me since I really just wanted an authentic experience. The place was clean, quiet, small, and the lights were dim enough for that super mellow feel. A young woman started working on my boyfriend first, then another gentleman a little while later came out to work on me. I found it interesting the woman was wearing gloves (which I sincerely hope were nitrile, NOT latex! A huge part of the population are allergic!) Even if she had open wounds on her hands, I can't justify why she would need gloves (they make airtight bandaids) - and if you don't like touching people, why are you in this occupation (?) Anyway, interesting. The guy plopped down without much of a greeting and just started working on my feet. I briefly explained that I had sort of tender feet from being on them so much, and he nodded. I found it interesting that there were no basic questions asked (aka: are there any areas to stay away from, what type of pressure would you like, etc.) I told him how I was a student and then asked a few questions about reflexology and what kind of training they get to be licensed. I don't know if he thought I was grilling him (I wasn't, I was only curious and wanting to know more about the culture) but he became very flustered and hesitated when I used the word "licensed." However, it was a decent foot massage, the dude definitely knew what he was doing. They both ended their massages around the same time. When it was time to pay, they harassed my boyfriend that he wasn't tipping them enough (they wanted $10 each for a 30 min foot massage) and when he said he was only doing $5, the woman mumbled to the man "such little money" in Chinese (which my boyfriend fluently speaks...whoops!) It was incredibly awkward. Demanding a 50% tip? Wasn't going to happen, it wasn't like they used a ton of materials or anything. What's more, the guy didn't start my massage until maybe 5 minutes after my boyfriend had (but they both ended at the same time), so it wasn't even a full 30 minutes All in all: if you have any medical conditions, I do NOT recommend going here, the people just don't seem to understand enough English to know how to personalize the massage, which could lead to an injury (and I really do question if any of them had any official licenses or formal training). If you're looking for an authentic Thai massage without the bells and whistles, this might be the right place for you :) read more

Mark is truly a master! I am impressed with his technique, a combo of gentleness and good pressure. I 've had massages in china a few times and in san francisco but by far this guy is the best! Even the slightest sign of discomfort or change in breathing, he will check in with you to make sure you are doing okay. I purchased Groupon for 2. My sister & I went on adventure to this place a few days before Mother's Day. The first part _ laying in open beds & semi covered w/towels ( including head) I pulled mine off. It was very quiet & foot soak/massage felt nice. Then escorted to massage table room &seemed to go well. Not much communication but as we exited they stood there waiting for tip & we did tip $7.00 each. After 1 day we broke out in what was medically diagnosed as bug bites coming from sleeping or laying in a different bed. It was miserable bites all over our hand, arms, face , hands & legs. Dr appts, rx & sleepless nights w/ itching. Never again! Please clean your upholstered couch/beds & linens!!! No wonder it's dark & they try covering our faces. My bf got me to come in here for a bday present it was okay for the full body massage, cause it was more private. She asked if I wanted hot rocks (trying to hustle me for more $) and I thought there's no point of me getting a massage if I get "hot rocks" on my back, so I said no. The girl was nice, just when it got to the foot massage she was kinda procrastinating or giving up on massaging my feet felt more like rubbing softly then felt awkward being in the bigger room with everyone else getting foot massages. One thing that really bothered me is the fact I was trying to tip prior to that they kept cornering me to pay them the tip and saying "$10 minimum" and kept trying to get me to look at the poster. I get it, i was gonna tip anyway but when ur forcing me, it's annoying and impolite. Just made me NOT want to tip them at all. If they weren't focusing so much on getting money or trying to hustle me more I'd tip them big because I would've actually ENJOYEDDDDD the massage. Everything was going good..until they couldn't stop talking..(in chinese) i came here to relax..not for 2 ladies to talk during my massage. Then it gets better....after the face,arm.hands.foot massage...your back massage is next....the older lady starts screaming in my face saying you want back its an extra $10.oo!!first off...other places in las vegas is $20.00 FOR ONE HOUR AND THAT INCLUDES EVERYTHING. I got this deal through Groupon and went there together with another friend of mine, let me tell you they have some awesome foot message there, the guy who did the message was awesome(forgot the name), and he seems to know what he's doing, I enjoyed the message throughout the whole time I was there. Great staff! Since our resort was only about 5 minutes from the spa, my friend and I were picked up and dropped off by one of the staff members. We had a total body massage (deep tissue) and foot reflexology. Both were wonderful and reasonably priced. After walking long distance at the strip, we definitely needed a good massage. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I got a Groupon as a gift for the ion soak and hot stone foot massage. When I called to make an appointment, they offered an upgrade service for $16 or so for a back massage for 30minutes. I said I'd let them know when I got there. No pressure from the guy on the phone. I did agree to the upcharge for the add'l massage time when I arrived. I was put on a relaxing chair and my feet were immersed in a wooden bucket. Never having had an ion soak before, I didn't know what to expect. It was relaxing. The lady started rubbing my head and face, neck and shoulders.. this amazing treatment just went on and on. My feet were soaked, rubbed, and stoned, and the massage was heaven. The girl 'Rose' spoke no English, but she did know enough to ask if the pressure was ok.
