Surprisingly good poke bowls! Don't let the strip mall facade deter you. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. My bowl with the warm sushi rice had large pieces of fresh salmon, along with small shrimp (pass next time) and crab (also pass). I didn't get the tuna because I wasn't sure about the quality so I stuck to the safer options. The mango and pineapple were cut fresh and I loved the ponzu sauce with it. $38 for a bowl and a burrito, not bad for the area. There's not much to see so I'd recommend ordering to go and on to the next destination. read more

I like this rental EV. I'm finding nice places to eat while I'm waiting for the vehicle to charge. This iplace is in the save-mart parking lot in Truckee, . The shopping center is right next-door to the Truckee McDonald's. The place is nice on the inside. It was bright and clean, and everybody was friendly. You order and pick up your food from the counter. I have never heard of a "sushi burrito" before, so I decided to give it a try. It was with Roasted Seaweed for the "tortilla", Sushi Rice, Avocado, Cucumber, Red Cabbage, Carrot, Spicy Mayo, and Crunchy Onions. For my two proteins, I had Ahi and salmon, and I paid an extra buck to have Masago in it also. The burrito was big, and it was good. The rice was a good texture, they were very generous with the proteins, and all of the other ingredients played very well with each other. I loved the crunchy onions. They added a bit of a contrast, otherwise it would've been soft, soft, soft. I asked the lady if the spicy mayo was very spicy, and she said it wasn't. I agree with that. It was just enough that I knew that the spice was there, but it did not "blow me out." Probably the only negative, was that the seaweed "tortilla" didn't quite wrap all the way around the food, so it made it a little tricky to eat. But overall, it was really good. This place is amazing! I went with my boyfriend on the fourth July. I got a tuna poke bowl and he got a tuna sushi burrito. The regular poke bowl was huge and they don't shy away on toppings. First looks, this place is a little hidden next to H&R Block and the sports store , from walking in the place is very clean and pretty the accents on the walls are nice and not overwhelming. The staff working are great listeners and efficient workers . I ordered two Sushi burritos, which were made in a timely fashion. However I will say that, they are a little dry if you don't get extra sauce , but the crunchiness of all the ingredients make it a fresh and great meal. As for the price it is a bit on the pricier for takeout 2 burritos come to a total of around 38 dollars which is not on the affordable side , but also its seafood so it makes sense. Overall I would come back and try something else. I would give the ambiance a 10 the overall customer satisfaction a 8 and the flavor of the food itself a 8.5 , check them out ! read more

There was a choice of two types of rice and or greens for a base, three proteins out of four available, six toppings out of nine available, four or five different sauces to choose from and other things to put on top of the sushi meal. Have been looking forward to try this place out as I love a sushi burrito. I came in today with my husband and two small toddlers for lunch. The staff was very nice, explained all the options, and were happy to let the kids observe them making the burritos.
