Friendly staff and great food. I attended a golf event here and the kitchen was very accommodating for my food allergies.

We never bothered going because the staff was so rude when we called to ask a few questions that we wound up hanging up on them.

Played for the first time today after having several people rave about the course…read more The other comments are correct, this course rewards accuracy, not length. It's possible to drive a few of the par 4 greens. Most holes are a driver and a wedge in. Most holes dog leg one way or the other so it really pays to know the course. You want to know which holes you can bomb a driver and which ones you have to use a wood off the tee. So many new courses that go up these days are building themselves to host future PGA events and make it impossible for a weekend golfer to shoot a solid round at it. I, for one, appreciate courses that are accessible to golfers of all handicaps like this one. In spite of a brutally dry spring so far I thought the course was in awesome shape and well maintained. The greens were green, the rough was cut down to a reasonable length and the fairways were great. What struck me even more about the place was how the owner was up front, taking calls, booking tee times and welcoming people to the course with enthusiasm. You just don't see that at older courses these days. He was working the register himself on a weekend morning. He was a complete mench and seemed thankful you were patronizing his place. The wait staff he hired was also extremely friendly. These are a few of the little things that make you want to go back to the place. Can't wait to check out the indoor facility during the winter. I'll be back....many times. Great job with this place.

There are several different dining areas including an outside terrace, outside bar and patio, fireside lounge, and a more formal dining room. Regardless of where you choose to eat request Linda as your server. You won't regret it. She's funny, attentive, and knows her members very well. The menu changes seasonally but is always filled with fresh, innovative, and delicious dishes As someone who suffers a celiac disease I was very pleased to find the summer 2014 menu listed "gluten-free" next to the appropriate dishes. Although most people with celiac disease are aware of what they can and cannot eat, it's really nice to see a country club go the extra mile and make their gluten-free guests more comfortable when selecting a meal. Moving on to golf. Even as a guest of a member at the club, I have always felt welcome on the driving range and taken care of by staff when picking out left-handed clubs to use.

What I liked: free range balls, you only need a couple of warm up shots, so it's nice to not be…read morenickel/dimed for a few balls to hit, course was in great shape- unfortunately a recent heavy heavy rain washed out the sand down to the rock bed, but that was on Mother Nature not the course, we must of gotten lucky as our round was just over 4 hrs, didn't experience the 5+ hr round that others posted about. Lots of fun from whites. Although traditional yardage for my hdcp would be blue, it's way too hard to go from there, tee it forward just a shade and you will enjoy this more- difference is only 300 yds, but makes a big difference as the landing areas on some of these tight par 4s is very small What I didn't like, I just could not get accustomed to the sloooow greens. I do not need Augusta fast, but my putts and chips were actually stopping on downhills, it was so weird, very green, but not rolled at all. Also, the turning par 4s are somewhat gimmicky, it's like two par 3s, hit to 150 marker then hit to flag. Architects will say, you have to think you're way around, but that just a way to explain away a poor design or lack of space to build a proper hole. I do agree with other posts that newer golfers will struggle, forced carry is everywhere. The cart gal saw us on #4, so we were good, but never saw her again when we were hoping to spot her. Oh well, that's being picky, it's fun and quirky and if you loop around in under 4.5, it's a pretty good day all around. Last: the cooling towers in background is just weird.

Greens were fast today. There is a nice restaurant to get a sandwich and a drink. It was $52.00 with cart to play which was the price for a senior. Plenty of parking. If you like a slightly more difficult course I suggest you golf Raven's Claw. The gold tees for seniors was par 71 at 5371 yards. Check out Raven's Claw online for tee times. Enjoy!
