Another plumber that our realtor called since we were out of town when the leak was discovered said we needed to call the manufacturer to get a new part or buy a new water conditioner. Hyram said the big box store water softeners are often cheaply made. He recommended a higher quality softener but he also thought he could fix the leak by removing the flex hoses and "hard plumb" the pipes to the softener. By aligning the pipes better the pipes cold move vertically under pressure without breaking the seal. His idea worked wonderfully and we were able to get the system back online and working like new for a fraction of the cost. Again, our plumber Hyram was outstanding. In summery they did not do what I asked them to do, which was snake the line from my septic TAP into the House. Instead they refused to do what I asked and charged me $131 for doing nothing but uncovering the top of the septic tank and leaving it uncovered and unsafe !! The photos attached show how they left my yard, and how the pipe is DRY from no water flow from the house to the septic tank. I have opened a BBB Complaint to which they have still not responded. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS SERVICE AS THEY DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB I WANTED THEM TO DO. INSTEAD THEY DID WHAT THEY WANTED WHICH WAS CHARGE ME A FEE FOR SOMETHING ELSE THAT DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM !!!
