However, Dr. Michael Auld, DDS with Auld Family Dentistry of McAlester, OK has introduced me to a non-surgical therapy of using a custom-fitted oral sleep appliance. The oral appliance works by repositioning the lower jaw forward, keeping airways open to eliminate lapses in breathing. I am using the appliance consistently & it is providing me significant improvement in the sleep apnea symptoms. I am now getting restorative sleep.
