Basically it meant darning or some real difficult patchwork. I found Meena at Warrington cleaners, who assessed the damage throughly and set my expectations outright. At a point where I thought the job was a lost cause, Meena definitely gave me some hope. Not to mention, she accepted additional work that included fixing chain to my jacket, and stitching pocket rims of my jog pants. Initially, the amount felt a little pricy, but I had to get those garments in condition even if I were to donate them. Not only did she give me a reasonable ETA (1 week), but also on my return for pick up I found them dry-cleaned which was an icing-on-the-top Kudos to Meena's work - which literally translates to "Meena-kari work" in our native language meaning artistry of intricate saree craftsmanship!

It looks like everything was carelessly put back together without any attention to detail. -The backs of the jeans are uneven and it's very noticeable when wearing -They used mismatched thread that doesn't blend with the original jeans. -It looks like the blue jeans were just cut apart and sewn back together crookedly. -On my black jeans, one pant leg is higher than the other for some reason and the entire pair is twisted to the right, making them very awkward to wear. One pocket is even higher than the other!!! Like this is crazy! Why would you do work like this and give it back to the customer and think that is acceptable???? Both pairs are uneven and poorly done. When I went back to tell them, all they said was, "They're jeans, that's all we could do." They didn't offer me a refund or even offer to fix it. I would rather them tell me BEFORE they did the job what it would look like OR that they couldn't do it. I later went to a professional seamstress/ alterations specialist to see if at least the blue jeans could be fixed and she confirmed that the alterations were done terribly. She explained that they didn't need to cut the jeans down the middle at all and they should have just adjusted the waist. She also pointed out that the sewing was crooked and the thread didn't match (which you can notice in the images.) The seamstress even showed me a pair of jeans that she altered how jeans are SUPPOSED to correctly be taken in at the waist. I am extremely upset and disappointed that I wasted my money here and ended up with TWO ruined, good-quality pairs of jeans. Do not trust this place with your clothing. DO NOT go here if you need any serious alterations. If you want your clothing handled with care, PLEASE take it to a real specialist so that you are not taking any chances.

They were able to alter and fit this dress exactly how I wanted it to fit, and they did a great job at listening to all the details I asked for! They were able to also alter it within a really reasonable time and even asked when I would need it by! I will absolutely be going back if I need anything done in the future! When I tried to discuss the issue, the manager was rude, refused to listen, and made no attempt to resolve the problem or take responsibility. I have cleaned similar down jackets at other dry cleaners in a different state with excellent results. Branded jackets always come with proper care instructions, which were clearly not followed here. I thought CSC was Sarah Dressmaker but they are clearly not and they are inept at formal dress alterations, not to mention, they are egregiously overpriced. FIRST VISIT: I entered CSC thinking it was Sarah Dressmaker. It wasn't until my daughter had her dress on and the safety pins were marking the required alteration that I inquired about the business name. The woman told me Sarah Dressmaker was located behind CSC but assured me that she does many formal gown and prom dress alterations. My daughter's dress had one opaque layer and three layers of sheer tulle that required hemming. Total cost: $175. I was shocked at the price for this alteration but I thought that was the going rate. It wasn't until I called Sarah Dressmaker on the way home and asked her for a price to hem a four layer prom dress...her cost was between $60-100. SECOND VISIT: I returned to CSC one week later to pick up the dress. I wanted to be sure the hem was perfect before I left so I had my daughter try the dress on. I was horrified to see so many jagged, uneven edges that looked like a child cut the dress. The woman took a pair of scissors to the tulle in an attempt to correct the mess. There was also white chalk on the tulle that was never removed. I was told that they would fix the dress if I could leave it overnight. Before leaving, I inquired about the exorbitant cost for what was a extremely sub-par alteration. The owner said her prices are her prices and she doesn't price according to other cleaners. I asked two other cleaners in the area what they would charge for the same alteration and the highest price was $120. I asked the owner if she would reduce the price since I had to come back multiple times but she refused. Instead, she offered to make my daughter a mask using the extra material that was cut from the dress. She said she would only charge me $10 for this mask - this was supposed to be a significantly discount - but she failed to realized that there was a sign hanging in her store advertising custom special masks for $10. THIRD VISIT: I returned the following day to pick up the dress without my daughter. I was told everything was perfect but once I got home I noticed more jagged edges. I will never return to CSC!!!

We had decided to not sew it back on because we thought it would look ok without it. Sue told us she would hold onto the trim just in case we didn't like the way it looked without it. When we went back to try the dress on and pick up, Sue had sewn the horsehair back onto the dress because she didn't think it looked good without it. The dress turned out beautifully! I am so grateful to Sue for doing such a great job and genuinely caring that the dress looked perfect, even knowing that she had already priced out the job for me and how much extra time went into it!! We noticed that on the inside of each of the shirts our last name was written in PERMANENT marker. NEVER in my life have I seen a dry cleaner write on clothing! I am so baffled as to why they don't use a tag system like EVERY other dry cleaner in America!!! I am utterly shocked that there are not hundreds of poor reviews about this establishment sighting this same complaint. If they change their article identification system to anything other than ruining clothing with permanent marker, I may consider going back because the quality of the work was actually very good.
