We have been bringing our clothing almost weekly to Whitpain Cleaners for the past 14 years and I…read morecan honestly say they have never lost or damaged a single piece of clothing. They do an amazing job from start to finish, everything has come back perfect every time. My husband tends to leave things in his pockets but they always find and return them, including $20 bills. From day one they knew us by name which makes dropping off and picking up a breeze. This is the only store my kids will beg to visit (the lollipops help!) We recently moved from the area and of all the places we miss the most, Whitpain Cleaners ranks highest. It's not easy to find a business that values integrity and family in this day and age, but this one does. It'll be hard to find another place we trust as much here in our new state!

Absolutely terrible experience at Annie Cleaners. Easily one of the most unprofessional places I've…read moreever dealt with. Annie so call "make up queen" is consistently rude, dismissive, and acts like doing her job is a burden. Every single time I came in, there was some excuse about being "too busy," yet somehow there's always time to sit around or be on the phone. The work itself? Just as bad. Alterations were sloppy, rushed, and looked like no real care was put into them. On top of that, clothes weren't even properly ironed--wrinkled and unfinished like they didn't even try. If you value your time, money, and clothes, avoid this place. There are way better options out there. This was a complete waste of time and I won't be coming back.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had a terrible experience here getting two pairs of jeans taken in…read moreat the waist. The work was sloppy, messy and unprofessional. It looks like everything was carelessly put back together without any attention to detail. -The backs of the jeans are uneven and it's very noticeable when wearing -They used mismatched thread that doesn't blend with the original jeans. -It looks like the blue jeans were just cut apart and sewn back together crookedly. -On my black jeans, one pant leg is higher than the other for some reason and the entire pair is twisted to the right, making them very awkward to wear. One pocket is even higher than the other!!! Like this is crazy! Why would you do work like this and give it back to the customer and think that is acceptable???? Both pairs are uneven and poorly done. When I went back to tell them, all they said was, "They're jeans, that's all we could do." They didn't offer me a refund or even offer to fix it. I would rather them tell me BEFORE they did the job what it would look like OR that they couldn't do it. I later went to a professional seamstress/ alterations specialist to see if at least the blue jeans could be fixed and she confirmed that the alterations were done terribly. She explained that they didn't need to cut the jeans down the middle at all and they should have just adjusted the waist. She also pointed out that the sewing was crooked and the thread didn't match (which you can notice in the images.) The seamstress even showed me a pair of jeans that she altered how jeans are SUPPOSED to correctly be taken in at the waist. I am extremely upset and disappointed that I wasted my money here and ended up with TWO ruined, good-quality pairs of jeans. Do not trust this place with your clothing. DO NOT go here if you need any serious alterations. If you want your clothing handled with care, PLEASE take it to a real specialist so that you are not taking any chances.

After I picked it up, the jacket was stretched out and no longer fit properly. When I tried to discuss the issue, the manager was rude, refused to listen, and made no attempt to resolve the problem or take responsibility. I have cleaned similar down jackets at other dry cleaners in a different state with excellent results. Branded jackets always come with proper care instructions, which were clearly not followed here. Very disappointing experience.

WARNING: Horrible Prom Dress Alterations!!!…read more I took my daughter's one-of-a-kind prom dress to Center Square Cleaners by accident and it was a horrible mistake. I thought CSC was Sarah Dressmaker but they are clearly not and they are inept at formal dress alterations, not to mention, they are egregiously overpriced. FIRST VISIT: I entered CSC thinking it was Sarah Dressmaker. It wasn't until my daughter had her dress on and the safety pins were marking the required alteration that I inquired about the business name. The woman told me Sarah Dressmaker was located behind CSC but assured me that she does many formal gown and prom dress alterations. My daughter's dress had one opaque layer and three layers of sheer tulle that required hemming. Total cost: $175. I was shocked at the price for this alteration but I thought that was the going rate. It wasn't until I called Sarah Dressmaker on the way home and asked her for a price to hem a four layer prom dress...her cost was between $60-100. SECOND VISIT: I returned to CSC one week later to pick up the dress. I wanted to be sure the hem was perfect before I left so I had my daughter try the dress on. I was horrified to see so many jagged, uneven edges that looked like a child cut the dress. The woman took a pair of scissors to the tulle in an attempt to correct the mess. There was also white chalk on the tulle that was never removed. I was told that they would fix the dress if I could leave it overnight. Before leaving, I inquired about the exorbitant cost for what was a extremely sub-par alteration. The owner said her prices are her prices and she doesn't price according to other cleaners. I asked two other cleaners in the area what they would charge for the same alteration and the highest price was $120. I asked the owner if she would reduce the price since I had to come back multiple times but she refused. Instead, she offered to make my daughter a mask using the extra material that was cut from the dress. She said she would only charge me $10 for this mask - this was supposed to be a significantly discount - but she failed to realized that there was a sign hanging in her store advertising custom special masks for $10. THIRD VISIT: I returned the following day to pick up the dress without my daughter. I was told everything was perfect but once I got home I noticed more jagged edges. I will never return to CSC!!!

The dress was perfectly hemmed but the straps which were wide were simply folded over once and poorly sewn down. I could've easily taken scissors or a seam ripper through it gently and the work would've been undone. I was charged $175 for this. It cost more than the actual dress. The woman was kind and offered assistance on the alterations being done but I wish I knew how high the price would be for the work done. I know prices vary but for the alterations done on the dress straps and the loose sewing I believe I was overcharged. I read my positive reviews and I'm sure it was great work but always remember to confirm the expenses and look around for your best fit.
