They TOOK THEIR DAMN TIME, and made sure I had everything I needed, and that everything fit well, including letting both the sleeves and the pantlegs down because I'm so tall. They pressed the suit and shirt and polished the shoes. I walked out of there well after closing time, with EVERYTHING in a suitbag, 90 minutes before my event. Is this place convenient to me? As was the norm, I had my dress shirts laundered and pressed at Broad Axe Cleaners. In my last encounter, one of my shirts was returned to me with ripped and shredded holes. Although I am not a dry cleaner, it was pretty obvious that the pressing machine malfunctioned and tore my shirt in multiple places. The shirt was fairly new, but is now ruined. Before leaving the facility, I showed the owner the shirt and asked them what happened. I was told that bleach must have caused the damage. They told me that I must have used bleach on the shirt before bringing it to the store. I explained that I did not use bleach. There was no bleach in my house and there hasn't been bleach in my house for thirty years. The other shirts in the same order did not have holes. Why would I bleach only one shirt? The right thing for them to do was to admit the mistake, apologize and offer to replace the shirt. Not only did they do none of these things, they blamed me! A regular and loyal customer! I was so stunned that they denied this...and I am resentful that I paid for the order which included the damaged shirt. I will never use Broad Axe Cleaners again. Also, I understand that Lindenwold Cleaners in Ambler, PA is owned by the same dishonest, disloyal, non-trust worthy people. Use these despicable cleaners at your own risk!
