Eric was very pleasant to deal with. I called on a Saturday afternoon and left a message. He called me back pretty quickly and we made an appointment for the next morning, Sunday, at 10 am. I had a wedding guest gown that needed to be taken up and it had to be done by that Friday. I drove to the shop and it was a small place with two rooms. It was in an old building, next to a realtor, with parking in a lot. The inside was old and also beat up, dirty, and dusty but I didn't let that bother me. A woman was working on the sewing machine. I don't know if that's Eric's wife. There's a room to change in the back so I put the dress on and Eric measured it. I left. Eric texted me that the dress was ready Friday morning. I picked it up and it was the perfect length. It looked great! It was taken up at the waist so the pretty bottom of the dress that had an asymmetrical ruffle was not touched. I was very happy with it. Later that day, I accidentally dialed the store number so hung up quickly. Eric saw that I called and called me back to make sure that everything was ok. How nice is that? I highly recommend this shop for anything that you need tailored. They do a wonderful job and it's worth every penny! read more

I had a formal jumpsuit gown from designer Kay Unger that needed major alterations. I am a petite 5'1, and her gowns are for regular sized people 5'5. Eric measured and re-measured: shorten the crotch, taper the pants, shorten the pants, shorten the gown. Gown was ready one week ahead of time. Alterations were on point. I bought a dress for my son's wedding just 48 hours before the big day. The shoulders were big. My sister-in-law, who just came into town for the wedding, found Eric just down the street from me. Eric was extremely helpful! I brought in a bridesmaids dress and the first thing he had me do was walk around in it, sit down and move around. He said he COULD make very minor adjustments, but saw that it wouldn't be necessary as long as I shifted the straps on my dress correctly. It has been since pre-COVID that I needed to find someone to alter any clothing and everything local seemed to be closed. Using Yelp I was able to track down and contact La Difference and while they were a little bit of a drive for us, they are worth it. First of all, they are SUPER responsive. I had to bring a bridesmaids dress in that was ordered online, to have the straps shortened and the cup area fixed entirely- If I didn't it would be very point Madonna vibes lol. I brought it in a month before the wedding, and they were total pros- apparently that is more than enough time and I was told not to stress! Much like the other reviews, they were so reasonable- they said listen, don't dump a lot of money into a dress you're going to wear once and only once- So honest. I came back 2 weeks later, and everything was all fixed up for only $60. The pricing was very reasonable and the owners were extremely accommodating in setting up an appointment. My appointment was great! The owners are clearly experts at what they do. La Difference is hands down the best tailor in this area! He and his wife are so sweet and will be completely honest with you. For example I had a bridesmaids dress that I needed altered and in order to make the changes I needed they would need to rebuild the whole skirt. They told me point blank that it wasn't worth it for a dress I would wear once. They made it work without costing me $150. Eric is the best! I'm not sure of his wife's name. Also he doesn't even have business hours. He just says whenever you need him he'll be at the shop. So flexible! I can't say enough good things! read more

Went to Eric after I saw he was located close to my office and based on the one 5 star review. I needed a suit jacket that was given to me to be altered from a 44L to a basically my size a 41S. Before he accepted the work he asked if it could be returned. That told me all I needed to know. He was there to help me not profit from me. He is exceptional at his profession and is extremely courteous. He was very up front on what he could do and the cost of the alterations. He asked me to go back in for a second fitting and to show the additional work that needed to be done to get the jacket right. When I tried on the finished jacket it felt and looked perfect on me.
