Upon entering, the staff were very pleasant and professional. They made small talk with each customer they attended. I was a third person in there, lol. I enjoyed that touch. I used this business for alterations, it is a bit expensive $50 for blazer $25 for a pair of pants it was worth it. However, I do have to admit that they do excellent work, the seams were detailed and it fit perfectly after they altered it to my size. I will definitely be using them again for alterations, I'm not sure how the cleaners portion prices are, but for now I have found an alteration place nearby. read more

I just moved back to Doylestown and needed a good Dry Cleaner/Alteration place. I had been with my previous cleaners over 12 years and they were amazing. So far, Royal is terrific as well. Have not gotten any alterations done yet - but we have had 3 or 4 dry cleaning and shirt orders. The shirts (light starch) came out beautifully and so di the dry cleaning. This will be our go-to spot for the future. Why no 5th star? No reusable bags. My old place you could put your stuff into one of their bags and they'd return your clean order in that bag. Had a WONDERFUL experience using Royal Cleaners when it came to basic dry cleaning but especially when altering a dress for my engagement photos. My dress was a sheer top with thick flower embroidery. Beautiful, but a little too sheer for photos. I initially planned on just going with a nude lining but by the grace of experience and expertise, they suggested I go with as close to an exact color match to my dress I could find. At first I was surprised about that recommendation but I surprisingly found an exact match and that was the way to go! Dress came out so good. Royal cleaners is my go-to for alterations in Doylestown. The staff is so friendly and down to earth. They are organized and professional. I am picky about alterations - I have years of experience, and typically do my own. I understand how clothing should fit on the body, and fortunately, so do they. A woman, who I believe may be the owner, even mentioned that the original hem was uneven - and that they would make sure it laid perfectly straight - and it did! I come here mainly to get patches sewn on my son and my Boy Scout Uniforms. They do a really good job but they are a little pricey. I had 7 patches sewn on and it is costing about $40. As I said they do a good job and my wife and I really do not want to sew them on ourselves so they offer a good service. I have been using them for 24 years at both their old and newer locations. I have tried others, but come back because of the quality of their shirt and dry cleaning service. They are not cheap. But, they get the job done! And, done well. I once wrote, "It is a shame they just don't get it!" when it came to customer interactions. I sent 6 sweaters to Royal Cleaners earlier this season. They have shrunk all 6 sweaters! The sleeves are a couple of inches short, the necks are so tight, the lengths are inches shorter. I don't know what they did but now I can throw away 6 sweaters, 3 were cashmere! read more

As a business owner, if I find out that I made a mistake I apologize and do what I can to rectify the situation. We brought my husband's suit to be dry cleaned and the lining of my dress to be hemmed. Before alterations; my dress length was above my toes (perfect length) and the lining was too long. The seamstress had to pin my dress because their chalk hem marker was not working properly. While I was being measured for my hemming the owner gave my husband a ticket for our items. We are used to getting a ticket number without any pricing so when I was done being measured I asked the owner "how much was it"? His response was "no, you pay when you pick up". I was taken back by the owner not answering me when I asked how much but I knew the normal pricing since I just had another dress hemmed 3 months prior. Since I am use to getting a ticket number without pricing on it, I didn't even think to look at the ticket my husband was given. They ended up charging me $69 for "formal dress with lining". They did NOT alter my dress in any way; they only hemmed less than an 1/2" off the lining of my dress. They admitted to their mistake but only offered me $10 off since that's what they charge for "hemming a dress without lining". That would mean that the lining is ONLY $10 extra (if you don't alter the dress). They should have charged me the normal $25 dress hemming fee plus $10 instead of charging me for hemming a formal dress since they never touched my actually dress. Instead, they charged me an extra $43 for work they did NOT do. I also asked them what qualifies as a formal dress; they said "prom and wedding dresses". Per their qualifications my dress was NOT formal; it was not a prom or wedding dress. My dress was only $87 and they charged $69 for only hemming only the outer lining.. The owner would only offer a $10 refund which I was not willing to drive 20 minutes (both ways). On top of that, the stitching fell apart after only wearing my dress for 5 hours. Total rip off and poor quality! BE CAREFUL IF CHOOSING TO USE THIS COMPANY. UPDATE: after reading the owner's response, I would like to clarify a few things. The owner must receive a lot of complaints because they are confusing my husband & I with another complaining customer. Just shows you how many complaints they get. We have lived in Doylestown for 8 years so we're not from out of town and we brought our attire to be altered two months before our friends wedding. Our next-door neighbor had recommended Royal Cleaners, after these issues, our neighbors don't go there anymore either. We highly recommend Signature Cleaners in Doylestown; we have had many items altered and cleaned there, with no issues whatsoever! Choose your cleaners wisely! read more

When I took my dress to the store Steve thanked me for coming in. A friendly woman helped me decide on the length and where to tack the v neck which was a little low. The dress was ready on time and the work is beautiful! You can't see where the seamstress tacked the v neck.
